Abstract

The use of instructional media is expected to help students learn mathematical concepts in a meaningful way, which can link concepts in mathematics and apply them in solving problems of daily life. The learning media used must discuss mathematics contextually. It means in accordance with the problems that exist in students' daily lives. Therefore this study aims to develop learning media with e-book models of Novelmatika on statistical material. The use of the term Novelmatika is intended so that when students read this e-book it is like reading a novel that is fun and not burdened like reading a textbook. This research is a development research. The design of this study uses the ADDIE (Analysis-Design-Development-Implementation-Evaluation) model. This research has been carried out to the Evaluation stage, namely by conducting pretest-posttest before and after the use of the Novelmatika e-book. The mean pretest value was 52.30%, while the average posttest value was 79.46%. This means an increase in understanding of statistical concepts in students by 27.16%.

Abstract

The purpose of this activity is how to grow the entrepreneurial spirit of students in the 5th Vocational High School (SMKN) Kendari through training in the utilization of cassava peel waste into cassava peel chips. The implementation of this activity is carried out in 3 stages: (1) socialization; (2) providing material on entrepreneurship motivation, the process of utilizing cassava peel waste into cassava peel chips, and how to design packaging labels by utilizing ICT; and (3) training through direct practice. Theorizing activities are carried out by lecturing and interactive discussion methods, while the cassava skin waste processing training is carried out by the demonstration method. Based on the results of activities with partners showed significant progress: (a) students' understanding and interest in entrepreneurship increased by 80%, (b) students' understanding and knowledge of cassava peel chips increased by 90%, and (c) students' understanding of how to design packaging labels with the use of ICT increased by 85%.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to improve the quality of the presentation of SMAN 1 Anggaberi by using the Team Knoster Plus Model. The purpose of using the Team Knoster Plus model is to improve the quality of school education services, especially regarding school performance, various participation, and good administration. The application of the Knoster Management Complex Change Team Model focuses on 5 components including(1) vision, (2) skills, (3) resources, (4) incentives, and (5) action plans. The concept of organizational leadership towards change with the management model recommended by the Knoster Team is proven to have positive implications for SMAN 1 Anggaberi: (a) the approach and policies taken and implemented in an organized manner are proven to be able to bring change and improve the quality of service and appearance of SMAN 1 Anggaberi; (b) strategic and action programs accompanied by the commitment of all school members show a significant change in organizational performance both academically and non-academically; (c) the application of a quality culture in school administration governance is proven to strengthen the accountability and capacity of schools as a public service organization; (d) a culture of appreciation as an approach in encouraging the performance and participation of school members has a positive impact on increasing school capacity and personnel productivity; and (e) participation and cooperation of all school members can build a positive impression of SMAN 1 Anggaberi externally.

Abstract

Character-based education is a holistic process carried out to develop children’s academic capability and personality through which they eventually adopt wisdom and responsibility. The implementation of spoken tradition in social science learning, to develop students’ positive character, is surely interesting to do. Hence, this study is proposed to describe the effectivities of teaching, students’ learning activities, and the progress of students’ positive character development by implementing spoken tradition in social science learning. This study was used by design a classroom action research which was formally executed through steps covering planning, action, observation, evaluation, and reflection. As many as 36 students were purposively involved as subjects of this study. It was found that by implementing spoken tradition in social science learning, at the end of the cycles, teaching effectivity was improved to 92,70%, students’ learning activities were improved to 86,74%, and their positive character was significantly improved on discipline, honesty, responsibility, care, dan politeness.

Abstract

Character-based education is a holistic process carried out to develop children’s academic capability and personality through which they eventually adopt wisdom and responsibility. The implementation of spoken tradition in social science learning, to This study aims to describe the improvement in the learning achievement of students of VIII A SMP Negeri 5 Kendari in PPKn learning through the application of team teaching. This research was conducted at SMP Negeri 5 Kendari. The research subjects were grade VIII A students, totaling 36 students, including 19 girls and 17 boys. Based on the results of research in two learning cycles: (1) the results of 10 aspects of observing student activity in the learning process with a total score of 27 with a value of 90.9 in the second cycle, there was an increase in value when compared to the first cycle a total score of 13 with a value of 43.3; (2) the results of 9 observation aspects of team teaching activities in learning with a total score of 24 with a value of 88.9 in the second cycle, an increase in value compared to the first cycle with a total score of 17 with a value of 62.9; and (3) the learning achievement achieved by students showed a very significant increase, wherein the second cycle there was an increase in the value of student learning outcomes with a class average of 81.11 and 30 students who obtained Indonesian scores ≥ 65 (83.33). %), there was an increase in value when compared to the first cycle where the value of student learning outcomes with a class average of 65.83 and students who obtained a PPKn value ≥ 65 were 19 students (52.78%). The application of team teaching in Indonesian language learning can improve the learning outcomes of grade VIII A students of SMP Negeri 5 Kendari.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is the application of the Joyful Learning Learning Model assisted by GPS Harta Karun to Increase Student Motivation in Thematic Learning in SD. The research was conducted on 5th-grade students of SDN 2 Lamokato Kab. Kolaka semester 1 of the 2018-2019 academic year, especially in thematic subjects. Grade 5 students who will be studied include a class where most of the students have low learning motivation. The number of students was 34 students. Primary data obtained from test scores and student motivation questionnaires. Secondary data were obtained from the results of observations made by collaborators using teacher and student activity observation sheets. The results showed that: (a) The joyful learning model assisted by the treasure trove of GPS could increase students' motivation to learn in thematic subjects in grade 5 SDN 2 Lamokato. The increase in student learning motivation by 70.6% in the first cycle to 79.4% in the second cycle; and (b) a joyful learning model that can increase student motivation in this study is joyful learning assisted by "GPS treasure" (Powerpoint spin game in cycle I and a treasure-seeking game).

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to improve the ability of students of class IX A SMP Negeri 5 Kendari in doing squat style long jump practicum through obstacle games. This research uses action research as much as three rounds. Each round consists of two stages: planning, implementing, observing, and reflecting. From the results of the analysis, it was found that increasing the quality of long jump squat style with an obstacle course in the first cycle with a total value of 2155, an average of 67.34, the highest value of 80 and the lowest 55. In the second cycle with a total value of 2280, an average of 71, 25, the highest value is 85 and the lowest is 60 and has increased in cycle III with a total value of 2465, an average of 77.03, the highest value of 90 and the lowest 70. The conclusion of this study is the obstacle course can positively influence the ability of students of grade IX-A SMP Negeri 5 Kendari to do the squat-style long jump.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is the use of "smart matches" as an ICT-based learning media is to teach and improve learning outcomes of class VII K students of SMP Negeri 5 Kendari on the material of understanding the types and properties of rectangles. The use of "smart matches" through an action learning improvement in the form of development research. The subject matter of understanding the types and nature of rectangles was carried out during two meetings. At the second meeting, students were given a test question in the form of the description as many as 5 numbers and of the 30 people who were given a test of learning outcomes, there were 26 students (86.7%) who scored ≥ 73 and 4 students (13.2%) scored ˂ 73. In the aspect of student skills, the data obtained were 19 students (63.3%) in the very proficient category, 7 students (23.4%) in the advanced category, 1 student (3.3%) in the less proficient category, and 3 students (10.0%). ) the category is not proficient. Qualitative data, namely the level of student satisfaction with the use of "smart matches" in the learning process obtained data as many as 25 students (83.3%) with very good criteria, 3 students (10.0%) with good criteria, 2 students (6.7 %) with unfavorable criteria and no student stated that they were not good. The practicality of the "smart fight" against students can be shown by the practicality value of 78 with a practical assessment. The results showed that the use of "smart matches" as a medium of learning in the material of understanding the types and properties of rectangles can teach and improve the learning outcomes of class VII K students of SMP Negeri 5 Kendari.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to improve the learning outcomes of class VII A students of SMP Negeri 5 Kendari in Indonesian through cooperative learning strategy student team achievement division (STAD). The implementation of this classroom action research uses the following procedures: (a) planning; (b) implementation; (c) observation; (d) reflection. With increasing student learning outcomes and teacher skills in managing learning. The results of this study indicate that student learning outcomes can increase before implementing the STAD cooperative learning strategy than after using the strategy. The learning result shows that the class average which was originally 73.28 in the preliminary activity stage, increased to 80.03 in the first cycle, and then increased to 87.93 in the second cycle. Classical completeness increased from 40% in the preliminary activity stage, to 72.5% in cycle I, and to 97.5% in cycle II. Likewise, student activity increased from 17.5% in the preliminary activity stage, to 47.5% in cycle I, and to 82.5 in cycle II. Thus the STAD cooperative learning strategy can improve the learning outcomes of grade VII A students of SMP Negeri 5 Kendari.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is the NHT (Numbered Head Together) cooperative learning model in English learning can improve student learning outcomes in class VIII-A SMP Negeri 5 Kendari. Classroom action research with the following activity stages: 1) planning, 2) implementing the action, 3) implementing observation and evaluation, and 4) reflection. The results of the research in the two learning cycles are as follows: 1) the observation results of the teacher's ability to manage learning in the second cycle of 12 observation aspects, there are 12 aspects (100%) achieving the criteria of Good (B) and Very Good (SB), there is an increase in the percentage when compared to the results Observations of the teacher's ability to manage learning in the first cycle there were 9 aspects (75%) achieving good (B) and very good (SB) criteria, 2) the results of observing student activeness in learning in the second cycle of 5 observation aspects there were 5 aspects (100%) achieving active (A) and very active (SA) criteria, there is an increase in the percentage when compared to the results of observations of student activeness in learning in the first cycle there are 4 aspects (80%) achieving active criteria (A), and 3) learning outcomes achieved by students showed a very significant increase, where in the second cycle there was an increase in the number of students who got a score of ≥ 70, a total of 27 students (84.4%), The increase in value when compared to the first cycle was 20 students (62.5%) who scored ≥ 70. The NHT (Numbered Head Together) type of cooperative learning model in English subjects can improve learning outcomes for class VIII-A students of SMP Negeri 5 Kendari.
