Abstract

This study aimed to improve student learning outcomes on the material of a two-variable linear equation system by applying the Think Pair Share type of cooperative learning model—classroom action research conducted in class VIII.A of SMP Negeri 3 Kendari. The research implementation phase involves planning, observation, action, and reflection. The study was carried out in two cycles because, in the first cycle of the 12 aspects of the teacher's activities, the observations were 83.3% for ten factors with excellent (SB) and sound (B) criteria. From 12 elements of the action, nine aspects, or 75%, obtained the requirements of perfect (SB) and sound (B) for student activities. Based on the analysis of student learning outcomes acquired from 36 students who were subjected to action, it turned out that only 23 students, or 63.9%, had obtained a score of 65. Based on the analysis results in the first cycle, it was necessary to carry out a follow-up cycle (cycle II). The results of observations in cycle II of all aspects of teacher activities obtained observations of 100% for 12 elements with perfect criteria (SB) and good (B). In comparison, student activities received statements also of 100% for 12 pieces with perfect bars (SB). ) and good (B). Similarly, student learning outcomes in the second cycle of 36 students, there are 32 students or 88.9% who have scored 65 and above, so the expected absorption has been achieved based on the predetermined completeness criteria. Based on the results of the analysis above, by using the Think Pair Share type cooperative learning model, the learning outcomes of VIII.A SMP Negeri 3 Kendari student on the material of a two-variable linear equation system can be improved.

Abstract

This study aimed to improve student learning outcomes in social studies by using the make-a-match learning strategy. This Classroom Action Research uses subjects and data sources for class VIII. A student of SMP Negeri 10 Kendari for the academic year 2021/2022 in social studies subjects with 40 students. The research design used is the flow method from Kemmis and Taggart with a cycle model. They are collecting research data using observation techniques and learning outcomes tests. The data analysis procedure used interactive model analysis from Melles and Huberman. Based on the analysis of test results and findings in the reflection-evaluation of learning activities, 1) through appropriate procedures and steps, the application of the make-a-match strategy can improve student learning outcomes in social studies subjects; 2) The application of this strategy can increase students' active participation in the teaching and learning process which can be seen from the increasing value of students' active participation in learning, such as cooperation, the focus of attention, time efficiency, suitability of results, and presentations; 3) The percentage and number of students who scored above the KKM reached more than 85%; and 4) students' perceptions of the use of the make a match strategy applied in this study were very positive, most students expressed pleasure if this strategy was used in presenting other material on social studies subjects. This strategy effectively improves student learning outcomes when learning is understood about the steps in using the strategy, the teacher guides students who encounter difficulties in the learning process, and at the end of the lesson, an evaluation test is given and reflects on learning.

Abstract

This study aimed to improve the ability of class VII students to write procedural texts through learning based on local culture. Local culture-based learning is a strategy for creating a learning environment and designing learning experiences that integrate culture as part of the learning process. The method used in this paper is classroom action research (CAR). The type of research is qualitative research, designed with classroom action research design carried out in cycles. The research subjects were students of class VII-A, with 33 students consisting of 22 boys and 11 girls. Writing procedure texts through local culture-based learning can increase student activity and learning outcomes. It can be shown that the average student activity reaches 73% in the first cycle, and in the second cycle, it increases to 93%. And student learning outcomes in the first cycle with a complete learning level reached 20 students or 60.6% with an average of 75.45; in the second cycle, 33 students completed or 100% with an average of 92.88. Writing procedure texts through local culture-based learning is a strategy for integrating culture as part of the learning process.

Abstract

The study aimed to improve the learning outcomes of class XI students of KGSP SMKN 2 Kendari inbuilding maintenance subjects by applying the Think-Pair-Share (TPS) type cooperative learning model. Thistype of research is classroom action research. The students studied were students of class XI KGSP SMKN 2Kendari with 25 students. The implementation of classroom action research consists of 2 cycles. Each cycle iscarried out according to the changes to be achieved according to what has been designed in the investigatedfactors. The procedures for this classroom action research are (1) planning; (2) implementation of actions; (3)observation and evaluation; and (4) reflection. The data sources of this research are students and teachers. Thedata types are quantitative and qualitative data through observation sheets and learning outcomes tests. How tocollect data about the implementation conditions of the Think-Pair-Share (TPS) cooperative learning model wastaken using teacher and student observation sheets. Data about learning outcomes were taken using a learningoutcome test evaluation tool. The research results show that the learning outcomes of class XI KGSP SMKN 2Kendari students in the building maintenance subject can be improved through the application of the Think-PairShare(TPS) type of cooperative learning model. In the implementation of the second cycle classically, 22 students scored 70 (88.0%). This achievement has increased compared to the classical first cycle of students who scored 70 as many as 17 people (68.0%).
