Abstract

The reliability of power transformers heavily depends on the performance of insulating oil, which serves as both an electrical insulation medium and a cooling agent. One of the key factors in maintaining the quality of insulating oil is its breakdown voltage, which determines the oil's ability to withstand electrical stress before insulation failure occurs. The rise in temperature during transformer operation can lead to a decrease in the oil's breakdown voltage, thus affecting the overall reliability of the transformer. This study aims to analyze the effect of temperature rise on the breakdown voltage of power transformer oil. Testing was conducted through simulations and laboratory measurements at various temperatures to identify the relationship between temperature and the oil's breakdown voltage. The results of the study indicate that an increase in temperature significantly reduces the breakdown voltage of insulating oil, thereby increasing the risk of insulation failure and reducing transformer reliability. The conclusions of this study provide essential recommendations for managing transformer operating temperatures to maintain optimal reliability and service life while avoiding potential failures caused by insulating oil degradation.

Abstract

Weighted Least Connections (WLC) and Round Robin algorithms are two commonly used load balancing methods in cloud computing environments. Both have different approaches in distributing requests to servers, which impacts system performance. WLC takes into account the number of active connections and the capacity of each server, so that servers with larger capacities receive more requests, while Round Robin distributes requests sequentially regardless of server conditions. This study compares the performance of the two algorithms based on several parameters, including response time, throughput, and CPU utilization. The results show that WLC is superior in systems with heterogeneous servers, where WLC is able to adjust the load distribution based on the capacity and number of active connections, thereby improving system efficiency and performance. Faster response time and balanced CPU utilization are achieved by WLC, while Round Robin is more suitable for environments with servers with similar specifications. Although Round Robin works well in simple conditions, this algorithm often causes load imbalance on low-capacity servers in complex environments. Based on the results of the study, WLC is recommended for environments with server heterogeneity and dynamic loads, because this algorithm significantly improves resource efficiency and reduces server bottlenecks. Thus, WLC provides more optimal performance than Round Robin in scenarios that require more intelligent load distribution.

Abstract

The electricity payment system in Indonesia is by calculating the power used. The tool that records the use of electrical energy is a KWH meter. From this problem, an idea was obtained to record the KWH meter digitally so that we can easily find out how much electricity is used. This tool provides a value every time a pulse is detected by a photo diode against the KWH disc movement indicator. The function of this tool is a simulation with assumptions based on the KWH meter disc movement indicator detected by the photo diode, after which the pulses are processed on the AT89S51 microcontroller, and presented via a seven segment display. So that customers can easily find out the cost of electricity that has been used. Overall tool testing is done by connecting all parts of the tool and the KWH Meter is connected to the power grid and to the load. Simple testing is done by connecting the tool to a load of 100 watts and 200 watts

Abstract

Stunting describes the existence of chronic nutritional problems, influenced by the condition of mothers/mothers-to-be, fetal period, and infants/toddlers, including diseases suffered during toddlerhood. According to a WHO report quoted from Riskesdas, in 2018 the stunting target in Indonesia was 20%, but in 2013 the stunting rate was 37.2%, but in 2018 there was a decrease to 30.8%. However, the stunting rate in Indonesia is still very high and far from what is targeted by WHO. The method with the best level of accuracy for classification in this study is SVM. This study uses the Support Vector Machine (SVM) method as criteria and attributes which take benchmarks in pregnant women with attributes as a reference including gestational age, maternal weight, blood pressure, and pregnancy problems. The reason for taking benchmarks in pregnant women is because in the first 1000 days of a baby's life determines the baby's nutrition. The first 1000 days of life or 1000 HPK is a critical period in the growth and development of children starting from the beginning of pregnancy (270 days) to 2 years old (730 days). Data was obtained from the Tanah Luas Health Center totaling 684 data on pregnant women. The process of manual calculation is data normalization, kernelization, calculating the alpha and alpha delta Ei values, calculating weights, calculating bias values, and calculating f(x) values. In this study, the dataset totaled 680 data with 544 training data and 136 test data with the criteria of gestational age, pregnant woman's weight, blood pressure, and pregnancy problems. The accuracy obtained was 38.90 %. The variables that have the most influence on this classification are 3, namely the weight of pregnant women, blood pressure, and complaints experienced in pregnant women.

Abstract

This study aims to optimize algae biomass production by utilizing Palm Oil Mill Effluent (POME) as a nutrient source, employing Internet of Things (IoT) technology and Artificial Neural Networks (ANN) for predictive modeling and system control. POME, an organic waste from the palm oil industry, was used as an organic liquid fertilizer to enhance the efficiency and sustainability of algae cultivation. The system was designed to monitor and control key environmental parameters such as pH, temperature, salinity, and dissolved oxygen in real-time during a one-month trial in July 2024. ANN-based models were used to predict and adjust environmental conditions, leading to significant improvements in algae growth and resource efficiency. The results indicate that POME can serve as an effective and eco-friendly nutrient source, contributing to both reduced industrial waste and sustainable biomass production. This integrated approach supports circular economy principles and sustainability goals, with potential applications in bioresource production and waste management. Future research will focus on large-scale system testing, optimization for various algae species, and long-term sustainability assessment.
