Abstract

This research discusses the application of the YOLO (You Only Look Once) model to detect human objects in real-time video surveillance systems. This model was developed in response to the increasing need for efficiency and accuracy in video surveillance analysis, particularly in identifying abnormal or malicious activities. The application of deep learning technology, especially the YOLO model, has been shown to provide better performance in object recognition compared to traditional methods, such as SVM and Haar-Cascade, which often experience limitations in terms of speed and accuracy. One significant contribution of the use of YOLO lies in its ability to detect objects simultaneously in high-speed video, which is crucial in surveillance contexts that require rapid response to incidents. The implementation of YOLO also promises better collaboration between edge and cloud computing, allowing video processing to be carried out closer to the data source, reducing latency and improving data security. With this approach, the system can generate relevant information for rapid decision-making, such as monitoring human behavior in public settings and detecting suspicious activity. The analysis of this study highlights the significant potential of YOLO in improving real-time video surveillance systems and demonstrates that more accurate object detection capabilities can improve overall public safety. Through this model, we hope to revolutionize surveillance practices, adapt to modern needs, and provide a solid foundation for further development in the field of video surveillance.

Abstract

This study designs a web-based internship registration and selection system for the Office of the Ministry of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/National Land Agency (ATR/BPN) of Medan City, located on Jl. STM, Sitirejo II, Medan Amplas. The system was developed using PHP Native and MySQL, and it is designed to be responsive, allowing access via both desktop and mobile devices. The main goal is to replace the konvensional selection process, which still relies on physical documents and often results in file accumulation, delays, and non-objective evaluations. The primary issue addressed in this research is how to build an internship selection system that is automated, efficient, and objective. To achieve this, the Weighted Product (WP) method was implemented as a decision support system. This method calculates the final score of applicants based on weighted values from three main criteria: GPA, academic program, and completeness of the CV.Key features of the system include: online registration forms, document uploads, automated scoring using the WP method, real-time application status tracking, and an admin dashboard to manage participant data and selection results. The system model is illustrated through a Use Case Diagram, Activity Diagram, and Flowmap to demonstrate user interactions and process flow comprehensively.Research Results Based on the WP method applied to 150 applicants, the normalized Vi values were used to rank participants for each internship position. A total of 27 top-ranking participants were selected to fill 9 positions. For example, Samsul Yolanda (Section 1), Nasrullah Tamba (Section 2), and R.M. Simon Winarno (General Sub-Administration). Applicants ranked 2nd and 3rd for each position may be considered as substitutes if quotas allow. These results demonstrate that the selection process is now more objective, transparent, and competency-based.

Abstract

The advancement of cloud computing technology has revolutionized the way companies build and deploy applications, offering unprecedented flexibility, scalability, and efficiency. One of the most significant innovations in this space is serverless computing, which allows developers to build and run applications without managing the underlying server infrastructure. This model fundamentally changes the application development paradigm, shifting from static resource allocation to an event-driven model where resources are consumed only when needed (Sharma et al., 2021). The increasing adoption of serverless architectures has driven the need for detailed cost optimization strategies, particularly for automated infrastructure management tasks. This study examines the operational cost efficiency between Google Cloud Run and Google Cloud Functions. The study addresses the common need for programmatically managing cluster nodes within Google Kubernetes Engine. Solutions are developed and implemented using both serverless services to perform representative cluster management operations. A comprehensive analysis of pricing models, including resource consumption and invocation costs, is performed. Significant differences in operational costs are observed for this specific infrastructure automation scenario. The findings of this study provide clear guidance for architects and developers looking to minimize cloud spending through selecting the right platform.

Abstract

The world of education is currently developing very rapidly. This rapid development is in line with the development of technology and information. The diversity of information technology requires improvements in the quality and service mechanisms in the field of education to be more effective. The development of information technology requires higher education institutions to continue to innovate in academic service systems. One form of this innovation is the implementation of the Academic Information System (SIAKAD) which is able to integrate various academic services digitally. This study aims to analyze the user experience of two versions of SIAKAD used at the Faculty of Tarbiyah UIN Ar-Raniry, namely the old SIAKAD and the new SIAKAD (Sevima), using the User Interface (UI) and User Experience (UX) approaches. This study uses a quantitative descriptive method with a questionnaire instrument based on the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM), which includes perceptions of usefulness, ease of use, and user satisfaction. A total of 32 student respondents were involved in completing the questionnaire. The results showed that the new SIAKAD (Sevima) received a satisfaction level of 76%, included in the "Satisfied" category on the Likert scale. These findings show that a friendlier UI and more optimal UX in the new SIAKAD have a positive impact on user comfort and effectiveness in carrying out academic activities. This research recommends the development of more responsive features that meet user needs, such as adding the option to download active student certificates independently through the system.

Abstract

In today's digital age, the effectiveness and accuracy of inventory management are crucial factors in a company's operations. Manual inventory recording is often time-consuming, error-prone, and inefficient in presenting data directly. The problem at PT Pangan Terbaik Indonesia is that the company's director is unaware of the current packaging stock available in the warehouse. This is because inventory recording is not done in real time, still using manual calculations and paper recording. This prevents the director from monitoring the warehouse's inventory in real time, leading to concerns about stockouts or excess inventory. Furthermore, the company's website is not currently integrated with a database, which can be a hassle for the administrator if there are changes to the website data. The purpose of designing the stocktaking system itself is to simplify the stock recording process, allowing field officers to record packaging stock using a mobile application, and the data will be stored in the database and can be viewed in real time by the company director. This also simplifies website management. With integration with the database, the company administrator can easily change company data through the admin dashboard. The result of this report is to design an application that makes it easier for companies to record stock, manage company information, and monitor stock data in real-time so that reports are received more quickly and accurately.

Abstract

Waste management and flood mitigation are key challenges in Semarang City. The Semarang City Government, through the Department of Communication and Informatics (Diskominfo), implemented the AI-based Pantau Semar web system to automatically detect waste accumulation and water puddles via a CCTV network. This study examines public sentiment toward the system, particularly from social media comments, and develops a sentiment classification model using IndoBERT. A quantitative approach with Natural Language Processing (NLP)-based sentiment analysis was applied. A total of 430 public comments from social media were classified into positive, negative, and neutral sentiments, and analyzed using a fine-tuned IndoBERT model. Results show that negative sentiment dominates (54%), followed by positive (30%) and neutral (16%). The model achieved 81% accuracy, with the highest F1-score in the negative class (0.89). These findings indicate that the public remains critical of the system’s performance, especially regarding waste accumulation and flooding, while also highlighting AI’s potential in environmental management and public opinion detection. The results provide a basis for developing more adaptive monitoring systems and improving government communication strategies to better address community needs.

Abstract

In an increasingly competitive business environment, the ability of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) to survive heavily depends on effective cash flow management. Boarding house businesses, as a form of MSMEs in the service sector, face crucial challenges due to late rental payments by tenants. Management practices that are often reactive and intuitive have proven less effective in identifying the root causes of such issues. This study aims to apply an analytical approach using data visualization techniques to analyze rental payment patterns at Kost Green, Semarang. The main objective is to discover significant temporal patterns and identify tenant profile factors that strongly correlate with late payment behavior. The methodology employed is exploratory data analysis with a quantitative and visual approach, using primary data in the form of historical rental payment transactions over a one-year period, covering attributes such as tenant status and room type. The analysis process begins with a data preprocessing stage, in which a key analytical feature, Days_Late, is engineered to measure the duration of delays. The analysis is conducted using the Python programming language supported by the Pandas, Matplotlib, and Seaborn libraries. The findings reveal the existence of high-risk tenant segments (students) and critical time periods (certain months of the year) when delays tend to increase. The outcome of this research is a visual analytical report that provides a strong foundation for Kost Green management to make data-driven decisions, design more proactive and segmented billing strategies, and ultimately improve payment discipline and maintain healthy business cash flow.

Abstract

The rapid development of information technology has become a major pillar of society due to its ability to provide fast and accurate information. This technology is important in various fields, including health, education, economics, finance, social, political, and environmental. In health, information technology assists services by managing and storing administrative data, patient registration, and other information that supports users of health facilities. The Pratama Medisal Clinic in Ambon City is a health facility that prioritizes efficiency and effectiveness in services. This clinic has implemented an Open Source Generic Management Information System. The study used a quantitative method with simple linear regression analysis, data were collected through interviews, observations, and questionnaires, and used a proportionate stratified random sampling technique. Based on the results of the hypothesis test, the implementation of a web-based information system showed a significant effect on employee performance, with a significance value of 0.001. This leads to the acceptance of the H1 hypothesis, while the t-test results show that the calculated t (7.459) is greater than the t-table (1.812), so H0 is rejected. Statistically, the t-test results show a value less than 0.05 (0.001 < 0.05). From this, it can be concluded that the better the information system in healthcare services at a clinic, the better the employee performance. This encourages each clinic to implement information systems in their daily work to increase efficiency. It is hoped that the Medisal Clinic can continue to improve the Open Source Generic Management Information System in health services.

Abstract

With the rapid development of information technology, the need for fast, stable, and secure internet connections continues to grow. In managing large internet networks, routing is a crucial aspect in determining the path for data. Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) is one of the most widely used routing protocols in large networks. BGP connects various Autonomous Systems (AS) and enables the exchange of routing information between internet service providers. This research implements the Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) using Cisco Packet Tracer to simulate a network scenario faced by PT Artha Media Lintas Nusa Jakarta. As an Internet Service Provider (ISP), PT Artha Media Lintas Nusa encounters challenges in efficiently managing network routes, especially for connectivity with various other service providers. This study uses a methodology that includes network needs analysis, topology design, BGP configuration, and performance testing of the protocol to dynamically distribute routes. The results show that the implementation of BGP in Cisco Packet Tracer successfully optimizes network route management, ensures stable connectivity, and reduces data transfer latency. The simulation also provides technical guidance that can be applied to the company's physical network to enhance efficiency and scalability. Thus, this research is expected to be a valuable reference for PT Artha Media Lintas Nusa and other parties looking to implement BGP as a routing solution for large-scale networks.
