Abstract

The adoption of Total Quality Management (TQM) in educational institutions has not been thoroughly optimized, resulting in a wide range of results. This study aims to determine the key features of TQM used by maritime education and training institutes in Indonesia and the results. This study used descriptive quantitative methodologies using eleven institutions, the most extensively used TQM elements as measuring variables, and the findings. The respondents are 16 members of the institution's quality management team. Strategic quality planning (5.99), information and analysis (5.90), involvement of teaching staff and employees (5.86), knowledge and training (5.80), leadership and top management commitment (5.76), and process management were found to be the most often used TQM elements (5.76). Meanwhile, the most significant results of TQM implementation in the sample institutions were improving operational performance (6.06), teaching staff and employee satisfaction (5.90), and customer satisfaction (5.79). This study adds to the empirical literature on TQM in Indonesian maritime educational institutions by identifying the most often used TQM elements and the result achieved.

Abstract

This research explores learning 21st century that is oriented towards technological sophistication in the form of digital based multimedia innovation in Elementary School. This research that aims to find out how to develop, feasibility, and student response against e-LKPD based on scientific inquiry in Elementary School level science subject. This study uses research and development (RD) methods. In the collection of this research data using unstructured interviews, questionnaires, and documentation. Data analysis uses descriptive scale analysis. This development uses 4D model develop by Thiagarjan consists of 4 stages as Define, Design, Development, and Disseminate. Subject testing was conducted on 30 students of grade V Elementary School. The result namely validation of e-LKPD products based on scientific inquiry the results of material expert validators obtained an overall average of 95,38% into the category is very worthy, validation of linguists obtained an overall average of 96,36% into the category is very worthy, and media expert validation has obtained an overall average of 81,64% into the category is very worthy. The feasibility of e-LKPD products based on scientific inquiry science showed a positive respons from a student questionnaire result with an average percentage of 89,13% and 87,77%.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze the effect of "Environmental Pollution Game-Based Learning (EPGBL)" on improving students’ conceptual understanding and environmental awareness. EPGBL is an android-based learning media that can be used in science learning, particularly for environmental pollution concepts. Quasi-experimental research with pretest and posttest group design was utilized to answer the research questions in this study. The average percentage of correct responses in the pre-test is 61.33, meanwhile, the percentage of correct responses in the post-test is 73.33. This result showed that the percentage of correct responses in the post-test is higher than in the pre-test. The results showed that EPGBL can improve students' conceptual understanding of environmental pollution concept. The average score of the students' environmental awareness character is 3.98 that include in the good criteria. In conclusion, EPGBL is effective in improving students' conceptual understanding and environmental awareness.

Abstract

This type of research is research and development. The design of the development model in this study uses the ADDIE step (Analysis, Design, Develop, Implementation, Evaluation). However, this article only discusses up to the analysis stage, namely to find out student needs for the development of Introduction to Safety Management System learning through MOOCs. The study was conducted in May-June 2022. The samples in this study were 146 Palembang Poltekbang students who took the Safety Management System course. Sampling is done by purposive sampling technique. The research instrument used was a closed questionnaire consisting of 20 positive statements which is a modification of the Likert Scale with 4 answer choices, namely strongly agree with a score of 4, agree with a score of 3, disagree with a score of 2 and strongly disagree with a score of 1. The results of this study indicate that student agrees to do learning development Introduction To Safety Management System through MOOCs to improve mastery of aviation safety concepts.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the influence of entrepreneurship education and family environment on engineering students' entrepreneurial intentions within higher education. This examination method used was associative causal research. The research methodology is based on statistics using multiple regression analysis. This research was conducted on undergraduate students (S1) in the 2020 entry year at the Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Negeri Padang, which consists of 10 different undergraduate study programs. The total population for this research was 654 students. The total sample of this research was 200 students using the purposive sampling technique with the Slovin formula. This study's conclusions revealed that entrepreneurship education and family environment have a practical and remarkable impact on engineering students’ entrepreneurial intentions. Partially, the variables of entrepreneurship education and family environment have a positive and significant impact on engineering students’ entrepreneurial intentions. In conclusion, the results of the hypothesis testing show that entrepreneurship education and family environments have a significant positive effect on engineering students’ entrepreneurial intentions.
