Abstract

This study investigates the influence of mental workload, work stress, and trust in leaders on employee creativity and innovation at XYZ University, both directly and through psychological distress as a mediating variable. The research adopts a quantitative explanatory approach and involves employees who have been actively working for at least one year in academic or managerial roles. Data were collected through structured questionnaires and analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with the assistance of SmartPLS.The findings reveal that work stress negatively affects employee creativity and innovation, while trust in leaders plays an important role in encouraging innovative behavior among employees. Meanwhile, mental workload and psychological distress do not show a direct influence on creativity and innovation, and psychological distress does not mediate the relationship between the studied variables. The results highlight the importance of leadership quality and effective stress management in fostering creativity and innovation within organizations. Future research is recommended to expand the research context to different organizations, include additional relevant variables, and apply longitudinal or mixed-method approaches to better understand the psychological dynamics of employees in the workplace. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of training, career development, and teamwork on employee performance at KSPPS Nusa Indah. This study uses a quantitative approach with data collected through a Likert-scale questionnaire. The population consists of all employees, and a saturated sampling technique is applied so that all members of the population participate as respondents. Data analysis was conducted using multiple linear regression with the help of SPSS. The results show that training and career development have a positive influence on employee performance, with career development emerging as the most dominant factor. Meanwhile, teamwork shows a positive relationship with employee performance but does not show a significant influence. Overall, these three variables contribute to explaining variations in employee performance. Based on these findings, this study recommends that organizations improve the quality of competency-based training programs and establish a clearer and more structured career development system to strengthen employee motivation and improve overall performance. Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of financial literacy and financial attitude on financial management performance among employees of PT Bank Sulselbar in Makassar. The research adopts a quantitative approach using a survey method, with data collected through questionnaires distributed to employees. The collected data were analyzed using multiple linear regression. The results indicate that financial literacy does not significantly influence financial management performance. Similarly, financial attitude also does not show a significant effect on financial management performance. When examined simultaneously, financial literacy and financial attitude together do not significantly affect financial management performance. These findings suggest that financial knowledge and attitudes alone are not sufficient to explain variations in individuals’ financial management performance. Other factors, such as financial behavior, income level, and financial discipline, may play a more important role in shaping effective financial management practices among employees. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of women’s per capita expenditure and women’s expected years of schooling on the number of poor people in Indonesia. The research uses a quantitative approach with secondary time-series data obtained from official publications of the Badan Pusat Statistik covering the period 2014–2024. The data were analyzed using multiple linear regression after conducting classical assumption tests to ensure the reliability of the model. The results show that women’s per capita expenditure has a negative influence on poverty, indicating that higher levels of women’s economic welfare tend to reduce the number of poor people. Meanwhile, women’s expected years of schooling show a positive but not significant relationship with poverty. Overall, both variables together contribute to explaining variations in poverty levels. These findings suggest that improving women’s economic conditions plays an important role in poverty reduction efforts. However, this study is limited by the relatively short observation period. Therefore, future research is recommended to expand the observation period and include additional variables to obtain more comprehensive results regarding the factors influencing poverty in Indonesia. Abstract

This study examines the participation of an Indonesian modest fashion SME in the global value chain. The research focuses on an Abaya-producing SME in Malang that has expanded its market to several international destinations. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observation, and supporting documentation, and analyzed thematically. The findings show that the firm entered export markets gradually through digital platforms, exhibitions, and direct communication with overseas buyers. Its global value chain participation was strengthened by trust-based relationships, product adaptation, quality control, and continuous learning in export procedures. The study also finds that internationalization encouraged capability upgrading and created local economic benefits through the involvement of community-based workers. This case suggests that SME participation in global value chains can develop incrementally through adaptive learning, relational governance, and strong local production linkages. Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the implementation of a cashless system as an effort to prevent illegal fees at Class IIB Sleman Correctional Institution. The research applies a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collected through interviews, observations, and documentation studies. The analysis is based on the policy implementation theory of Randall B. Ripley and Grace A. Franklin, which emphasizes two perspectives: compliance with established policies and an examination of what occurs during implementation and the factors influencing it. The findings show that the implementation of the cashless system helps improve transparency and efficiency in financial transactions among inmates. However, its effectiveness is still constrained by several factors, including technical issues, overcrowding conditions, limited human resources, and misconduct by certain staff members. Although the implementers generally demonstrate a good level of compliance and understanding of the policy, these obstacles hinder the system from functioning optimally. The study is limited because it focuses only on one correctional institution and does not explore inmates’ perceptions in depth. Therefore, future research is recommended to examine the role of digital monitoring systems and expand the research scope to other correctional institutions. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of work activity programs for inmates at the Metro Class IIA Correctional Institution in supporting the main objective of the correctional system, namely social reintegration. These work activities are designed to equip inmates with practical skills and increase their motivation to improve their quality of life by strengthening their internal locus of control (LoC). The research uses a qualitative descriptive approach, with data collected through interviews, observations, and document analysis. The study applies program implementation theory and Locus of Control theory to understand how the program is carried out and its impact on inmates. The findings show that the implementation of work activities has been supported by collaboration with external partners and active participation from inmates who engage in activities based on their interests and talents. This condition helps strengthen inmates’ internal locus of control, as they become more responsible, confident, and motivated to plan their future after release. However, several challenges still hinder the optimal implementation of the program, including limited product marketing, low motivation among some inmates, budget constraints, and limited access to training. Therefore, improvements are needed, particularly in expanding marketing strategies, increasing training opportunities, and strengthening institutional support, so that the program can more effectively contribute to inmates’ personal development and successful social reintegration. Abstract

This study examines the communication patterns used by correctional officers in engaging recidivist inmates at the Class I Correctional Facility Medan, in response to the high rate of recidivism in Indonesia and the challenges of overcrowding. The research aims to describe how communication is applied in the rehabilitation process and to identify the obstacles faced in encouraging inmate participation in independence development programs. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation involving correctional officers and recidivist inmates selected purposively. The findings show that interpersonal communication characterized by empathy, openness, and a persuasive approach plays an important role in increasing inmate participation in rehabilitation activities, particularly vocational skills training programs. However, the implementation of effective communication is still constrained by several factors, including overcrowded conditions, a limited number of officers, lack of communication training, and peer pressure among inmates. These challenges hinder the optimization of rehabilitation programs. Therefore, strengthening communication capacity, increasing the number of officers, and improving institutional support are necessary to enhance the effectiveness of inmate rehabilitation and reduce recidivism rates. Abstract

This study examines the optimization of inmate development programs at Lapas Kelas IIA Bengkulu, focusing on the utilization of available land to support independence training. Although the institution has a large area of land with significant potential, its use has not yet been maximized. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, data were collected through interviews, observations, and document studies. The analysis is based on Mintzberg’s strategy theory and the concept of correctional development (SPPN). The findings show that the strategies implemented include agricultural activities, plantations, and land-based skills training aimed at supporting inmates’ independence and accelerating their social reintegration. However, the implementation of these strategies faces several challenges, such as unfavorable land conditions, limited facilities and skilled personnel, budget constraints, rigid institutional regulations, limited market access, and negative public stigma toward inmates and their products. Therefore, more comprehensive support, improved resource management, and stronger collaboration with external parties are needed to optimize land utilization and enhance the effectiveness of independence development programs.
