Abstract

This study aims to analyze the character education model implemented at the boarding school SMAN Bali Mandara and its implications for the Pancasila Student Profile. The background of this research is based on the change in status of SMAN Bali Mandara from a boarding school to a regular school in the 2022/2023 academic year and its impact on student character. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data were collected through interviews, observations, documentation, and questionnaires directed at the principal, teachers, dormitory head, and students. The results of the study show that boarding schools have advantages in shaping student character through a holistic education program, including intracurricular activities, extracurricular activities, Pancasila Student Profile strengthening projects, and school culture. This research concludes that boarding schools can be an effective model in the development of character education to realize the Pancasila Student Profile.

Abstract

Strengthening character in a multicultural society is a challenge amidst the current of globalization that has the potential to erode noble values. This study examines how the Tionghoa Ethnic community in Indonesia maintains and strengthens good character sustainably through an incremental change approach, namely changes in values, attitudes, and behaviour that occur gradually but consistently. Using descriptive qualitative methods and case study designs in three multicultural cities, data were collected through in-depth interviews, participant observation, and documentation studies of family practices and socio-religious organizations. The results show that character strengthening is carried out through two main strategies: (1) internalizing values such as hard work, responsibility, and integrity in everyday life; and (2) awareness, adaptation, and character application without losing cultural identity. The gradual character transformation produces a resilient, empathetic, and pro-social young Tionghoa generation. These findings prove that incremental change is effectively applied as a community culture-based character-building approach.

Abstract

One of the traditions in Bangka Belitung that is still carried out and preserved is the ruwahan tradition, which is celebrated once a year, approaching the month of Ramadan. This study is interesting to do considering that there have been many shifts in traditions and cultures in society in the modern era. However, the ruwahan tradition is still carried out and preserved by the community by upholding local wisdom. This ruwahan tradition is carried out by older people, but teenagers and children also enliven this tradition. Another uniqueness of this ruwahan tradition is that it can bring people from various regions together to socialize and enliven it. The excitement of the ruwahan tradition exceeds the traditions of Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha. This study chose the locus in West Bangka Regency because the tradition is still preserved and carried out. Many people flock to West Bangka to enliven the ruwahan tradition. The data collection techniques that researchers will use are interviews, observations, and documentation, with the research subjects being the local community, community leaders, traditional leaders, and people outside the local community of West Bangka Regency.

Abstract

ABSTRACT This research aims to determine whether the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) can improve students' social studies learning outcomes. The social studies learning outcomes of class 8D students increased after implementing AI-based learning over two cycles, with the following results: (1) In the pre-cycle, students' social studies learning outcomes were in the poor category with an average score of 68.79. Only 11 students (37.93%) achieved the Minimum Mastery Criteria (KKTP). Classically, students did not achieve KKTP in social studies learning; (2) In the first cycle, students' learning outcomes were in the sufficient category with an average score of 74.14. As many as 20 students (68.97%) achieved KKTP. Classically, students did not achieve KKTP in social studies learning; (3) In the second cycle, students' learning outcomes were in the good category, with an average score of 83.10. There were 25 students (86.21%) who successfully achieved KKTP. Classically, students achieved KKTP in social studies learning. Based on the results of data analysis, it can be concluded that the use of AI in social studies learning can improve the social studies learning outcomes of class 8D students at SMP Negeri 12 Madiun. ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah penggunaan Artificial Intelligence (AI) dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar IPS siswa. Hasil belajar IPS siswa kelas 8 D meningkat setelah dilaksanakan pembelajaran dengan menggunakan AI selama 2 siklus dengan hasil sebagai berikut: (1) Hasil belajar IPS siswa pada prasiklus, berada pada kategori kurang dengan nilai rata-rata adalah 68,79. Siswa yang mampu mencapai KKTP sebanyak 11 siswa (37,93%). Secara klasikal siswa tidak mencapai KKTP pada pembelajaran IPS; (2) Hasil belajar IPS siswa pada siklus I berada pada kategori cukup dengan nilai rata-rata adalah 74,14. Siswa yang mencapai KKTP sebanyak 20 siswa (68,97%). Secara klasikal siswa tidak mencapai KKTP pada pembelajaran IPS; (3) Hasil belajar siswa pada siklus II, berada pada kategori baik, dengan nilai rata-rata 83,10. Terdapat 25 siswa (86,21%) yang berhasil mencapai KKTP. Secara klasikal, siswa mencapai KKTP pada pembelajaran IPS. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan AI dalam pembelajaran IPS dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar IPS siswa kelas 8 D SMP Negeri 12 Madiun.

Abstract

 ABSTRACT This research aims to explain the implementation and results of improving the competence of social studies teachers in developing TIK-based assessment instruments through classroom observation in junior high schools in Madiun City. Utilizing a qualitative approach, the research data were obtained through documentation, observation, and interviews. The research findings show that the implementation of improving teachers' competence in developing TIK-based assessment instruments includes four stages: preparation, classroom observation, feedback discovery, and follow-up. Furthermore, this study's results also demonstrate a significant improvement in teachers' competence in developing TIK-based assessment instruments through the classroom observation program. This improvement is evident, among other things, in teachers' ability to develop learning plans incorporating TIK-based assessment, their use of increasingly varied TIK-based assessment platforms, and the increased intensity of their TIK-based assessment utilization.  ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan penerapan dan hasil peningkatan kompetensi guru IPS dalam mengembangkan instrumen penilaian berbasis TIK melalui observasi kelas di SMP Kota Madiun. Dengan pendekatan kualitatif, data penelitian diperoleh melalui dokumentasi, observasi, dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan peningkatan kompetensi guru dalam mengembangkan instrumen penilaian berbasis TIK melalui observasi kelas meliputi 4 tahap, yaitu tahap persiapan, pelaksanaan observasi kelas, penemuan balikan, dan tindak lanjut. Selain itu, hasil penelitian ini juga menunjukkan bahwa melalui program observasi kelas terjadi peningkatan yang signifikan terhadap kompetensi guru dalam mengembangkan instrumen penelitian berbasis TIK. Peningkatan tersebut salah satunya ditunjukkan dengan guru mampu menyusun perencanaan pembelajaran yang memuat penilaian berbasis TIK, jenis platform penilaian berbasis TIK yang digunakan semakin bervariasi, dan intensitas penggunaan penilaian berbasis TIK yang meningkat.
