Abstract

Trenggalek is a regency that has abundant natural resources. Located in East Java, Trenggalek has agricultural, plantation, and fishery products. Unfortunately, some of its villages are categorized as underdeveloped villages (Desa Tertinggal). Tegaren village was once a village with IDT (Inpres Desa Tertinggal) status, which then often received assistance from the government. Whereas Winong village, a neighbor of Tegaren village, is also included in a developing village. Tasikmadu village, especially Watulimo Subdistrict, coastal area, is categorized as a developed village, but there are still many poor people. The research that we have done is the development of the ABCD (Asset-Based Community Development) model by Christopher Dureau which focuses on asset utilization. To determine the development of the ABCD method, this study used a mixed approach (mix method) with interview instruments, observation, and questionnaire distribution. This research will focus on developing and empowering communities in underdeveloped villages of Trenggalek Regency by focusing on local food innovation. The conclusion from this paper includes some reflections on the extent to which the concept of local food innovations. First must be there must be support from the government through both sustainable agriculture programs and food processing innovation. Second, to improve community capacity through systemic and controllable empowerment program. In the last, empowerment base on local food can help the capacity of the community to increase economic effect more widespread and sustainable change.

Abstract

Wonorejo is a rural area located in the Situbondo regency where people come from many religions are living in harmony. The village itself thus was renamed or labeled as “Wonorejo Nationalistic Village” or “Desa Kebangsaan Wonorejo”. As Indonesia is a state that recognizes many cultures, many ethnicities, and many religions, the harmony in Wonorejo could reflect the harmony of Indonesia on a local scale. The label then posited Wonorejo as a tourism destination for its cultural tourism. But in recent years, Wonorejo is found struggling in accelerating its tourism. The advancement of technology and the growth of the tourism industry have held Wonorejo’s socio-economic development from tourism. This study explores the challenges faced by Wonorejo as one of the tourism destinations in Situbondo. The research also examines the effectiveness of asset management in Wonorejo Nationalistic Village. Using the asset-based community development concept and participatory research method, the study dug deep into the problems found in Wonorejo. We found that personal assets and financial assets still become problems in Wonorejo. Furthermore, Wonorejo needs a strong leadership not only from the head of the village but also from the village communities’ vocal persons. They need to line-up the strategies to strengthen the label of “nationalistic village” so that the cultural asset in Wonorejo would not only transform into cultural tourism but also ecotourism.

Abstract

The development of biopesticide formulas is carried out by optimizing the use of natural media materials. The formula is made easily, cheaply, and can still maintain the viability of bacteria. This study aims to determine the effect of various formulas and storage containers on the viability of Pseudomonad fluorescent Pf-122. Eight kinds of formulas include; 1) Non-hydrolyzed rice crab at a dose of 400 (K400), 2) at a dose of 200 (K200), 3) Hydrolyzed papaya rice crab at a dose of 400 (KP400), 4) at a dose of 200 (KP200), 5) Pineapple hydrolyzed rice crab with a dose of 400 (KN400), 6). at a dose of 200 (KN200), 7) Media King'S B at a dose of 400 (KB400), 8). at a dose of 200 (KB200). The formula is stored in a plastic and paper storage container. Population dynamics were observed at 1-week intervals. In the paper container, at week 1, the highest bacterial population was in the KP 400 and K400 formulas. At weeks 3 to 8, the population experienced a very rapid decline in all formulas, except for the KN400 formula. In the KN400 formula, at weeks 2 and 3, the population reached 107 CFU / ml and experienced a slow decrease until week 8 (population 101CFU / ml). In plastic containers, at week 1, the highest bacterial population was in the formula KB200, K200, and KP400. At the 3rd to 8th week of observation, the population experienced a rapid decline in all formulas, except for formula K400. In the K400 formula, starting from weeks 2 and 3, the population reached 106 CFU / ml and decreased until the 8th week (population 103CFU / ml). As for the KN400 formula, it can still last until the 7th week with a population of 102 CFU / ml. The longest survival rate of Pf-122 bacteria in the two storage containers was the KN400 formula. The best survival time of Pf-122 bacteria (long-lasting time and high population) is the formula of rice crab with a dose of 400 (K400) in a plastic container.

Abstract

Endophytic bacteria are a group of microbes that live in plant tissues without causing negative effects and don’t cause sick on plants, are found in various plants, and can be isolated from all parts of the plant: roots, stems, and seeds. Endophytic bacteria in nature, have high diversity because in a single plant can be found more than one kind of endophytic bacteria, so many plants found many kinds of endophytic bacteria. Endophytic bacteria that have been isolated and identified from eggplants. This study aimed to isolate endophytic bacteria from eggplants in lowland Kandat Kediri. Crop sampling was conducted using a systematic random method. The research stages are surveys and microbial isolation of endophytes. Isolation is done from the stems of a healthy eggplant around the sick eggplant. The crop samples were then washed with running water and cut 1-3 cm. The cutting was sterilized by ethanol 70% (30 sec), sodium hypochlorite 5% (5 min), ethanol 70% (30 sec) and rinsed with sterile water (3 minutes). The results are from the stem get 10 isolates of endophytic bacteria that have different characteristics.

Abstract

The purpose of the present study was to prove that the weighted average cost of capital can be used as a measurement of capital structure optimization. The sample was nine food and beverage companies listed in the Indonesia Stock Exchange from 2015 to 2019 taken secondary data were used with a quantitative approach. Hypotheses were tested by using multiple linear regression analysis. Analysis showed that simultaneously had significant effects on the cost of capital. Partial analysis showed that the debt to asset ratio affected the cost of capital. The long-term debt to equity ratio and net profit margin partially did not affect. Comparison of means showed that return on investment was lower than the means of the WACC. Thus, it can be concluded that the weighted average cost of capital can be used as a benchmark of capital structure optimization with the weighted average cost of capital as the minimum rate of return on investment.
