Abstract

Mathematics is a foundational subject essential for the advancement of technology and various scientific disciplines. This study aims to enhance the mathematics learning outcomes of class XI-C students at SMA Muhammadiyah Batudaa through the use of circle board learning media. Conducted as classroom action research during the 2023/2024 academic year, the study involved 28 students from class XI-C. Data collection methods included tests and observations, utilizing essay tests and observation sheets to assess teacher and student activities. The findings reveal that implementing circle board learning media significantly improved student learning outcomes on circle tangent material. Observations showed notable increases in teacher activity: from 70% to 95% in preliminary activities, 69,4% to 97,2% in core activities, and 68,7% to 93,7% in closing activities. Similarly, student activity observations improved from 75% to 90% in preliminary activities, 67,8% to 92,8% in core activities, and 58,3% to 91,6% in closing activities. These results demonstrate that the use of circle board learning media effectively enhances students' mathematics learning outcomes.

Abstract

Many mathematics books presented in an abstract way and ended in student's perception of difficult subject for mathematics. The goal of this research was to develop geometry learning instruction by using Malay batik patterns on the topic of transformation for junior high school students. The use of local context expect helping student in learning. The ADDIE model which consist of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation is used in this RD research. A validation sheet serves as the validity instrument, which evaluates the accuracy of the instructional materials.  The validity of teaching materials was determined with the average score was 3.57, which was considered to be valid. The practicality tool is a worksheet for utilising instructional resources. This study's implementation was carried out for a limited sample, the practicality percentage value is 89.61%, with a very practical category. The development of the research's end product has led to the creation of geometry transformation teaching materials for junior high school ninth graders that are both valid and practical and are based on Riau Malay batik themes.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the development procedure and produce valid and practical mathematical e-modules on rectangular, square and triangular material. The type of research used is Research and Development (RnD) research with the development model used is the PLOMP model with four stages. The research subjects were students of class VIII SMP Negeri 1 Kwandang. The results showed that the validator's assessment of the mathematics e-module obtained the validity criteria and was declared very suitable for use in the learning process. The use of e-mathematical modules gets positive responses from teachers with an average percentage of 85.37% and positive responses from students with an average percentage of 78.6%. The average percentage of teacher and student responses is in the very good category, so that the module is said to meet the practical criteria. Based on the results of the study it can be concluded that the e-module mathematics material for rectangles, squares and triangles fulfills valid and practical aspects so that it is suitable for use in learning at SMP Negeri 1 Kwandang.

Abstract

This descriptive research aims to evaluate the effectiveness of the Discovery Learning model assisted by Cermat multimedia in teaching the topic of Cartesian coordinates at SMP Negeri 11 Gorontalo. The study examines three key aspects: (1) the teacher's proficiency in managing the learning process, (2) students' positive responses to the learning approach, and (3) students' learning outcomes. The findings indicate that the Discovery Learning model supported by Cermat multimedia is highly effective. This conclusion is supported by the teacher's performance in managing the learning process, categorized as excellent, students' consistently positive responses throughout the learning activities, and the attainment of an 80% mastery level in learning outcomes on a class-wide basis.
