Abstract

In the building materials retail sector, inefficient distribution practices can significantly undermine a company’s profitability. If delivery routes are not planned well, logistics costs will go up and the company becomes less competitive. This study looks at how Vogel’s Approximation Method (VAM) can help a national retailer save money on distributing paint products. By looking at the data for 2,700 units sent from three warehouses to three locations, the VAM method proved it could find the most economical way to ship goods. The result showed that shipping costs could be cut down to just IDR 3,903,000 per period. This proves that VAM is a reliable tool for managers to make smarter and more efficient distribution decisions.

Abstract

Statement of Financial Accounting Standards (PSAK) No. 14 explains inventory issues, including inventory valuation, methods used to record inventory, and inventory reporting. This study aims to calculate the valuation of raw material costs and the value of ending inventory of raw materials using the FIFO, LIFO, and Weighted Average methods. In this paper, the author uses a descriptive qualitative method and Literature Study. Based on the results of the calculation of the three methods in the Case Study of PT. "Perdana Paskalis" in April 2026, it shows that the cost of raw material usage is 5,000 kg, for the lowest value is indicated by using the FIFO method. Valuation using the LIFO method is 6.5% higher, while using the Average method is 20.20% higher than the FIFO method. In the calculation of raw material inventory, which is 900 kg, the LIFO method shows the largest inventory value. Valuation using FIFO is 3.06% higher, while the Average method is 1.2% higher than the LIFO method.

Abstract

This study aims to understand and explore the influence of digital media framing on Generation Z's perceptions of the international conflict between Iran and the United States. Information circulating in digital media is never entirely neutral but is always shaped by geopolitical and ideological interests through a complex framing process. This research was implemented using a qualitative approach, relying on in-depth interviews with five Generation Z informants, selected using a purposive sampling technique. Thematic analysis of the interview data showed that digital media framing significantly influenced the formation of informants' perceptions. Western media tended to frame Iran as an aggressive entity, while alternative media and independent creators emphasized the United States as a provocative imperialist power. Generation Z's perceptions are formed through three main cognitive stages: sensation, attention, and interpretation. Digital literacy levels were identified as a crucial determinant. Highly literate informants were shown to be able to cross-verify news sources, while those with passive literacy tended to accept framing from a single platform. This study recommends strengthening digital literacy so that Generation Z becomes accustomed to verifying and forming objective opinions amidst the digital information maelstrom.

Abstract

The article titled “Social Conflict in the Film 1 Kakak 7 Ponakan by Yandy Laurens: A Literary Sociology Analysis by Alan Swingewood” is a qualitative study using a descriptive approach that aims to describe the forms of social conflict found in the film 1 Kakak 7 Ponakan. This study focuses on three forms of social conflict: interpersonal conflict, intergroup conflict, and structural conflict experienced by the characters in the film. The primary data source for this study is the film 1 Kakak 7 Ponakan, analyzed through dialogue, character actions, and events that indicate the presence of social conflict, while supporting data sources include relevant books, articles, and journals. Data collection techniques were conducted through literature review and the watch-and-note technique, which involves repeatedly watching the film and noting the parts containing social conflict. Data analysis was carried out through the stages of identifying conflict scenes, classifying data based on the three forms of conflict, interpreting social relations between characters, and analysis using Alan Swingewood’s sociological theory of literature. The research findings indicate that interpersonal conflicts arise from differences in roles and responsibilities among family members; intergroup conflicts develop from clashes of interest between adult groups, children’s groups, and outsiders; and structural conflicts emerge due to the pressures of family circumstances and economic constraints that limit the characters’ life choices.
