Focus and Scope FOCUS Jurnal Manajemen Pendidikan dan Ilmu Sosial (JMPIS) memfokuskan diri pada riset tentang Manajemen Pendidikan dan Ilmu Sosial. Pendekatan metode penelitian meliputi: Kuantitatif, Kualitatif, dan Mix Method. Jurnal Manajemen Pendidikan dan Ilmu Sosial (JMPIS) memiliki tujuan sebagai berikut: Menyediakan sarana publikasi penelitian empiris dan alternatif bidang Manajemen Pendidikan dan Ilmu Sosial. Menyebarkan hasil penelitian ilmiah baru kepada masyarakat. Mempercepat alih pengetahuan dari hasil penelitian empiris dan alternatif ke praktik. Oleh karena itu jurnal ini memuat artikel empiris dan tinjauan kritis baik yang menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif (mainstream), pendekatan kualitatif (alternatif), maupun metode lainnya. SCOPE Topik yang dapat dimuat dalam jurnal ini adalah topik yang berhubungan dengan: PENDIDIKAN Pengelolaan Kurikulum, Pengelolaan Lulusan, Pengelolaan Proses Pembelajaran, Pengelolaan Sarana dan Prasarana, Pengelolaan Pendidikan, Pengelolaan Pembiayaan, Pengelolaan Penilaian, Pengelolaan Pendidik dan Tenaga Kependidikan, Pendidikan Kepemimpinan, Kebijakan dan Perencanaan Pendidikan, Ekonomi Pendidikan, Politik Pendidikan, Sekolah, Akademis, Pendidikan Sains, Matematika, Fisika, Kimia, Bahasa, Sosial, dll Ilmu Sosial Manajemen Ekonomi Politik Hukum Psikologi Komunikasi Humaniora (Budaya, Bahasa, dll) Seni Bidang Manajemen Pendidikan dan Ilmu Sosial terapan Scopenya tidak terbatas hanya pada bidang-bidang tersebut. Tanjungpinang City and Bintan Regency are regions in the Riau Islands which are also popular tourist destinations due to their abundant natural resources. However, there are several policy constraints in promoting these two tourist destinations in each respective region. Tourism development needs to consider the economy of a region to meet good Regional Revenue Budget. Therefore, policy integration becomes a solution to the overlapping policies between the two regions in achieving the common goals of promoting and marketing Creative Economy in the Riau Islands. The aim of this study is to analyze the extent to which the integration of regional government policies in the development of tourism in Tanjungpinang City and Bintan Regency has been achieved. This article uses a qualitative research approach where data findings from observations or primary data as well as secondary data such as interviews and scientific journal articles are interpreted from the researcher's perspective. The lack of connectivity between the two regions is attributed to the failure to achieve the goals of the medium-term regional development plan and the lack of connectivity between the regions in both infrastructure and marketing their tourism packages. The hope is to achieve synchronization between the tourism policies taken by the Tanjungpinang City and Bintan Regency Governments and close cooperation between local governments, the private sector, and local communities through collaboration between the Tanjungpinang City and Bintan Regency Governments.

The problem of Indonesia as a developing country is its high population which results in employment problems. The problem that Indonesia always faces in the field of employment is that there are a lot of workers but there are not enough job opportunities, which causes unemployment. The city of Surabaya has the largest number of job seekers in East Java Province. This needs special attention from the Surabaya City government so that job seekers can be absorbed by the job market and create as many job opportunities as possible. The expansion of employment opportunities in the city of Surabaya needs to continue to be pursued through the Department of Industry and Manpower which plays an important role in employment matters. This research aims to find out the strategy of the Department of Industry and Manpower in expanding job opportunities in the city of Surabaya. This research uses 3 (three) strategic management focuses, namely: Strategy Formulation, Strategy Implementation and Strategy Evaluation. The research method used in this research is descriptive with a qualitative approach with data collection techniques using observation, interviews and documentation. The results of this research show that the strategy carried out by the Department of Industry and Manpower to expand employment opportunities is through a program to expand employment opportunities with technical guidance training activities. This program was implemented based on suggestions from the people of Surabaya City with various types of training options.

As a border region, Mahakam Ulu Regency has homework to improve the quality and equality of education in the area. Moreover, current conditions show that the Human Development Index in Mahakam Ulu Regency is still low. With its status as a border area, the Mahakam Ulu Regency Government has a big responsibility to improve the quality and equality of education in the area, especially in the era of regional autonomy. This article aims to analyze various reform initiatives in the education sector carried out by the Mahakam Ulu Regency Government in improving the quality and equality of education as one of the border regions. This article uses a qualitative approach with the process of collecting and analyzing literature and document study data. The results of the analysis show that infrastructure development and providing educational scholarships to increase human resource capacity are the most prominent initiatives among the various strategic programs carried out by the Mahakam Ulu Regency Government as an effort to reform education in the region.

The Influence of Training, Motivation, and Competency on Employee Performance is a scientific article on literature studies within the scope of HRM. The purpose of this article is to build a hypothesis of influence between variables that will be used in further research. Research objects based on online libraries such as Google Scholar, Mendeley, and other academic online media. The research method uses a systematic literature review with artificial intelligence (AI) to obtain related research sourced from e-books and open access journals. The analysis uses qualitative descriptive analysis. The results of this article: 1) Training influences Employee Performance; 2) Motivation influences Employee Performance; and 3) Competency influences Employee Performance.

The emphasis on critical thinking in Islamic religious education is categorized as low, in fact currently teachers also emphasize hard skills more than soft skills. This situation is caused by the tradition of Islamic religious education which tends to be pessimistic and demands total obedience which influences the thinking style of students to be submissive. without asking too many questions. This research aims to determine the media that can be used to develop students' soft skills in PAI learning, namely creative critical thinking (CCT), interpersonal and intrapersonal. The use of qualitative research with literature study was chosen in this paper in order to obtain supporting information related to the problems presented. Data analysis was carried out by looking at the need for soft skills in PAI learning based on previous research and then linking it to various media that can be used to develop students' soft skills in PAI learning. Based on this, it was found that the media that can be used are media in which there is the use of technology in the form of audiovisual, the use of media based on the introduction of material, as well as the role of teachers and parents as visual media.
