Focus and Scope FOCUS Jurnal Manajemen Pendidikan dan Ilmu Sosial (JMPIS) memfokuskan diri pada riset tentang Manajemen Pendidikan dan Ilmu Sosial. Abstract

The indicator of the progress of an institution is not only seen from the number of students, but also the quality of the ability of students and graduates, not only in academic achievement but also in non-academic fields, performance, including student attitudes and behavior. The author sometimes finds that although the school is classified as Islamic, it is less able to foster the religious dimension of students. If there is a deviation of religious norms, the first perpetrator is the teacher. In fact, building the religious dimension and strengthening student character is our common task as school community. Education is the key to developing children's personality from an early age, because the essence of education is not only providing knowledge but also providing values. All of this will help shape the personality of the nation's children with noble character and overcome juvenile delinquency due to various social deviations. When a person's character is primarily based on religious values, a strong spirit of character is born, which is also the core of a strong nation. The main purpose of character education in Islam is to develop the character of students to have good moral and cultural sensitivity and be able to implement it in everyday life. The purpose of this article is none other than so that everyone knows that teachers have an important role in shaping the next generation of the nation with good character. Abstract

The purpose of this article is to investigate the ideas of KH. Hasyim Asy'ari regarding pesantren education and to explore the aspects of modernity relevant to the current educational context. The significance of this research lies in the contribution of KH. Hasyim Asy'ari to the transformation of the pesantren education system from moral-based character aspects to organizational structure and curriculum. This represents a significant innovation that remains relevant in the current educational context. By referring to various literature and works by KH. Hasyim Asy'ari, this article combines theory with policy implementation at Pesantren Tebuireng, Jombang. The research method used is literature review with a qualitative approach. Data were collected from articles, books, and other documents, then analyzed using philological content analysis, which connects the educational ideas of KH. Hasyim Asy'ari with current developments. The research findings conclude that: 1) The main focus of KH. Hasyim Asy'ari's educational thought is to humanize people by making them aware of their rights and obligations to God as the creator; this forms the basis for character education. 2) Islamic education is not only about religious knowledge but also includes general knowledge. Therefore, integrating general subjects into the pesantren curriculum is crucial. 3) Pesantren must be able to respond to the changing times without sacrificing its traditional values.

Abstract

The primary responsibility of a leadership role in education is to create an environment conducive to effective teaching and learning, ensuring that teachers are able to deliver instruction accurately and students can learn effectively. This research examines the role of Islamic boarding school leaders to increase teacher professionalism, the leadership role carried out at the Raudhatul Jannah Integrated Islamic Boarding School to increase teacher professionalism. Furthermore, researchers observe that there are still various obstacles that hinder the achievement of teacher professionalism at the Radhatul Jannah Integrated Islamic Boarding School, Subulussalam City. This research uses a methodology. qualitative research. The aim of this research approach is to provide a detailed description of the existence of teaching staff or teachers at the Raudhatul Jannah Integrated Islamic Boarding School located in Subulussalam City. The results of this research explain that, the role of leaders to increase the professionalism of Raudhatul Jannah Integrated Islamic Boarding School teachers in Subulussalam City is leaders who act as Educators, Managers, Leaders of Raudhatul Jannah Integrated Islamic Boarding Schools also act as Administrators, Leaders of Raudhatul Jannah Integrated Islamic Boarding Schools also act as Supervisors, Leaders of Integrated Islamic Boarding Schools Raudhatul Jannah also acts as a Leader Innovator and Leader of the Integrated Islamic Boarding School. Raudhatul Jannah also acts as a Motivator.

Abstract

One of the figures in Indonesian religious studies who deserves to be studied is Mukti Ali. His ideas about religion in the context of social change have an impact on social and religious life in Indonesia. Mukti Ali has implemented his ideas in his vision as Minister of Religious Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia in the development cabinet I (1971-1973), and II (1973- 1978). This research aims to further explore how religion and social change in Mukti Ali's perspective. This research is a literature study with descriptive qualitative method. The study found that Mukti Ali considers religion as a source of values and norms that influence people's social behavior. Religion is not only a spiritual guide for individuals, but also provides a moral foundation that underlies their actions in daily life. These values and norms then shape the social order in society. Mukti Ali also states that religion not only maintains the social status quo, but can also be an agent of social change. Religion is often a source of inspiration for social movements, reform, or resistance to social injustice. Mukti Ali highlighted the complex dynamics between religion and social structures. Religion does not stand alone, but engages in complex interactions with social factors such as politics, economics and culture. Changes in social structure can affect religious interpretation and practice, and conversely, religion can also affect social change through its influence on people's beliefs and values. Thus, Mukti Ali's views on religion and social change reflect a deep understanding of the complexity of the relationship between religion and society.

Abstract

: A child is a gift from Allah swt that is dreamed of in a home. A healthy and happy child is every man's dream. The problem that occurs a lot at this time is that very modern life opens a wide perspective for the younger generation. With the ease of access to get a variety of information, of course, there are positive impacts and also negative impacts. One of the negative impacts when the younger generation can not filter what they should adopt from the internet. Here the role of parents in educating is needed. Therefore, it is important to study more in the literature, especially those that are widely sourced from Islam, both books and muslim intellectuals about child education to broaden the scientific horizons of teachers in their role in child education in Islam. The purpose of the author in this article is to help parents and teachers in providing Islamic education. Khsusunya about the concept of child education in islam perspective Shaykh Musthafa al-Adhawi in the book of fiqhu tarbiyyat al-abna and its relevance in the contemporary era. In this study the authors used quantitative methods with a descriptive approach. With the object of research is the book of fiqh tarbiyyat al-abna. The results showed that the concept of Islamic education in the book of fiqhu tarbiyyat al-abna is still relevant in the contemporary era.

Abstract

Indonesia, with its diversity, is seen as an unavoidable gift from the Creator. As a country rich in culture and natural resources, Indonesia offers a colorful palette of life, where each of its citizens has diverse views, beliefs, and interests, including in religion. This diversity can still be bridged by the use of Indonesian as the national language. This study, which uses a qualitative approach through interviews, observations, and documentation, explores how the internalization of religious moderation values is carried out in Madrasah Aliyah. This process includes value transformation in learning and cultum, value transaction through interactive methods such as questions and answers, stories, parables, and advice supported by counselling guidance, and value internalization, where values are taught to be applied in daily life, such as accepting differences, acting fairly, and respecting rules. Textbooks, muhadharah activities, teacher recitation, and habituation support this internalization, while the out-of-school environment and social media are noted as inhibitors.

Abstract

: In Presidential Decree Number 67 of 2021, Indonesia has a national target and strategy for Tuberculosis Elimination. This research aims to analyze how the Tuberculosis control policy is implemented in the Riau Islands Province. This research uses a qualitative descriptive research method where the data obtained is expressed in written form and described (described) according to field facts, both primary data and secondary data. With data collection techniques through interviews and documentation. The results of the research show that although the achievements in finding and treating cases of Tuberculosis and unexpected Tuberculosis from each district or city in the Riau Islands province are still far from the target and there are still challenges in implementing the programs contained in this policy. However, looking at the 7 implementation indicators according to Ripley, namely Access, Coverage, Frequency, Bias, Service Accuracy, Accountability, Program Suitability to Needs, the implementation of the Tuberculosis Control policy in the Riau Islands province has been running in accordance with these indicators. Every policy implemented by the implementers is also implemented in accordance with applicable regulations and in accordance with the respective standard operating procedures (SOP) of each implementing agency involved.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low academic achievement in Islamic education, which is attributed to the use of conventional and monotonous teaching methods such as lectures, question and answer sessions, and assignments. This has led to student boredom and negatively impacted their learning outcomes. Therefore, diverse and engaging teaching approaches are needed to capture students' attention and enhance their understanding of the material, thus improving their academic performance. In this study, an experiment was conducted using the Hypnoteaching method, which integrates various approaches such as Multiple Intelligences and student creativity, to identify and develop their potential, talents, intelligence, and creativity. The education sector requires a variety of teaching methods to stimulate students' development. Currently, there is a trend where students solely focus on mechanical understanding of content material without considering its impact on their learning attitudes. This research combines two types of approaches, namely field research and library research. The research findings indicate that the implementation of the hypnoteaching method has a positive influence on the academic performance of second-grade students at SD Negeri 8 Sekayu Musi Banyuasin.

Abstract

The background of this research is that education is a learning process aimed at enhancing intellectual potential by providing it with correct knowledge, but this process also aims at character development efforts. However, education merely turns the seeker of knowledge into a knowledgeable person, without harmonizing it with good morals and ethics. The question raised in this research concerns the cultivation of character education values ??found in the book of thoughts by Sheikh az-Zarnuji, Talimul Muta’alim. The purpose of this research is to identify and investigate the character education values ??written in the book "Ta’lim Muta'alim" according to Sheikh az-Zarnuji's thoughts, and to determine the relationship between these values. Narrowing down the issue, we focus on the character education values ??according to Sheikh as-Zarnuji's thoughts (research on Ta’lim Muta’alim). The results of this research are expected to serve as a reference for understanding character education and be used as reference material for related research in the future. This research is a literature study of the book "Ta’lim Muta’alim" on character education values. Data collection is done through documentation methods, while the data analysis used in this research is the content analysis method. This analysis is used to clarify the content of certain values ??in the book, taking into account its context. The primary data source is the book Ta’lim Muta’alim, while the secondary sources are the translated book Ta’lim Muta’alim, other books, theses, dissertations, and other papers. The results of this research indicate that the character education values ??contained in the book Ta’lim Muta’allim include religious, responsibility, democratic, tolerance, hard work, discipline, independence, appreciation of achievement, love for peace, love for reading, social concern, and curiosity.

Abstract

The inappropriate implementation of PT Jasa Raharja (Persero) compensation for victims of traffic accidents and the disproportionate number of accident victims who receive compensation for their injuries are the basis of this research. The procedure for filing claims on behalf of these victims is still unclear to some people. Therefore, the role of the state should not only be limited to accident prevention efforts, but should also include providing protection to accident victims. The researcher in this study used field research as the research strategy, which was logically examined and organized using a qualitative approach. From June to August, this research was conducted in Batu Nadua Sub-district, Padang Sidempuan City. From the results of this research it is clear that Jasa Raharja and the community have different perspectives on how the policy of providing compensation to victims of traffic accidents should be implemented. According to Jasa Raharja, the policy has been implemented in accordance with the prevailing laws and regulations. However, accident victims see things differently. They argue that Jasa Raharja does not fulfill its obligation to provide fair compensation to every traffic accident victim.
