Abstract

Global pandemic has a significant effect of decreasing economic activity. This certainly has an impact on the ability of the community to meet their daily needs. The low-cost staple program is felt to be lacking in low-income and poor communities and the role of educational institutions is expected to be able to overcome this with an aid package program. The aim of this community service is to target the community of daily wages by providing direct assistance packages such as groceries, hand sanitizers, masks and some money. This activity gave a very good response from the people who were given assistance with the distribution of this basic food package model. The activity was also added with covid-19 prevention education in general with the hope of helping to increase the productivity of the grassroots in breaking the chain of distribution of covid-19. The results of this activity went well with the distribution of all aid packages to the target community was given covid-19 prevention education to increase knowledge in order to break the chain of distribution of covid-19.

Abstract

The purpose of community service is to provide education to the people of Montong Are Tengah village about the importance of maintaining cleanliness, one of which is by washing hands with soap and running water to break the chain of covid-19 spread. The method of dedication is to provide hand washing facilities directly to the mosque and mushalla. The hand washing facilities provided are in the form of buckets that are equipped with taps, making it easier for people to wash their hands before and after performing worship at mosques and mushalla. Participants of this service consisted of marbots of mosques and mushalla and the people of Montong Are Tengah village. The conclusion of this community service activity provides education to the people of Montong Are Tengah village about the importance of maintaining cleanliness, one of which is by washing hands with soap and running water to break the chain of covid-19 distribution by providing hand washing facilities for mosques and mushalla in Montong Are Tengah village

Abstract

The purpose of this service activity is to reduce student academic anxiety through providing information services in the form of group guidance. The method of implementing this service activity uses the group guidance service method. The target of this activity is 28 students of class XII at Baiturrahman Islamic High School. In the process of group guidance activities, students are explained about the meaning of academic anxiety, the characteristics of behavior that arise, the factors that influence it, and how to overcome it. Likewise, it is also explained that learning motivation is very important to be cultivated so as not to cause academic anxiety, especially in facing exams. The results of this service activity show that students have an understanding of academic anxiety and how to deal with it. In addition, the activities of providing information services through group guidance have also been able to provide learning motivation to students to be more enthusiastic and prepare themselves both mentally and to study more seriously. High learning motivation will have an impact on increasing enthusiasm for learning and can overcome anxiety in facing exams, so that the learning outcomes obtained can be achieved maximally.

Abstract

This service activity aims to increase citizen awareness of the importance of using masks and washing hands using soap and running water for at least 20 seconds.. This community service activity was held in Bedulu Village, Gianyar Bali in April 2020. The method of activity carried out is by distributing masks, vitamins, soap, disinfectant liquid and also leaflets/posters on how to prevent COVID 19. This poster will be posted in several strategic places so that it can be seen directly by the public. Participants in this community service activity were carried out by a team of STIKes WIra Medika Bali lectures and also assisted by students. As a result of this community service activity, the community knows how to wash their hands, how to use masks and can spray disinfectans in their home environment.

Abstract

This service activity aims to provide alternative post-harvest handling of mushrooms, especially Oyster Mushrooms that are able to produce products that are acceptable to consumers; provide an alternative to consumers of products made from oyster mushrooms, and have a long shelf life and open up opportunities for the development of agribusiness-based home industries. The activity method is carried out by lecturing and discussing the characteristics of Oyster Mushrooms and their post-harvest handling; production of products as well as testing of product acceptance by the community; and the development of home industries with pricing and packaging and licensing of small industries. The targets of this community service activity are teachers and students / students at the Al-Azhar NW Kayangan Islamic High School, Sandik Village, Batu Layar District, West Lombok Regency. The results of this community service activity show that the teachers and students are very enthusiastic and feel the enormous benefits of this activity. It is hoped that this activity can be increased again by still paying attention to the needs of teachers and students for sustainable entrepreneurship so that it can help the school economy to innovate in creating various sources of school income. The activity was greeted with high enthusiasm, because almost all partner schools had no object to increase the economic productivity of their schools. The teachers really hope that the next activity can be continued with other food processing materials with a longer duration.

Abstract

This service activity aims to provide chemical skills coaching in the community in producing various household needs which are the basic ingredients of Sodium Lauril Sulfonate such as detergents, dish soap and hand soap. This activity is carried out during a pandemic by complying with health protocols. Methods of this activity include: (1). Initial Program Initiation, (2). Organization Creation, (3). Assistance in Manufacturing, packaging and marketing of various household products made from sodium lauryl sulfonate. The youth group who participated in the activity was first given an understanding of the tools and materials that would be used in the manufacture of products. After the youth group understood, only then did the team enter the coaching stage. The final stages of this activity were liquid detergent, dish soap and hand soap. This activity is very important because it relates to skills as a participant's capital in meeting the demands of the world of work, besides in community production, it will also be taught in the marketing and evaluation system. So the community will make various products needed, market them, and they can enjoy the benefits as additional income.

Abstract

This service activity aims to provide knowledge and ability to pioneer and manage a tutoring institution for Undikma students as an effort to improve the spirit of social entrepreneurship. The method of implementing this community service activity is by diffusion-based training of knowledge. This activity was held at the Faculty of Culture, Business and Management Undikma and was attended by 20 students as training participants. The implementation of this service activity has been well organized, it is proven that some of the students who have participated in the training have succeeded in making their own tutoring services as much as 25%, while 25% of participants are still freelance employees and 50% are still trying to make tutoring.

Abstract

This community service program aimed to improve teachers’ anthusiastic in SMKN 1 Sekotong, West Lombok to conduct articles to be published in national accredited and international journal. The method used in this program divided into three stages such as 1) early stage includes koordination between the program team with the principle of SMKN 1 Sekotong; 2) implementation stage includes scientific article training; and 3) evaluation stage that used as the overview of the next program. The materials in this program was presented mostly in term of describing the technique of writing good articles therefore they deserve to be published in national accredited or international journal. This community service program was conducted in SMKN 1 Sekotong which was followed by the pcinciple and 23 teachers. The conclusion of this program was there was an improvement of teachers’ anthusiastic to publish their scientific articles in national accredited and international journal.

Abstract

The purpose of this service activity is to provide the knowledge in education program handling for parents (parenting education) and teachers to increase their treasure of knowledge about children's growth and development and to align children's education at school and home during the Covid-19 pandemic. The method of this community service program was conducted through the online platform "Whatsapp special Group” for teachers and parents about the psychological impact of this pandemic to students, teachers, and parents; (1). how to manage negative emotions, online learning management for teachers, and how to construct effective communications between teachers and parents on children education. 2. Performing questions and answers session every the end of counseling material delivery. 3. Program evaluation of Parenting Education on an online basis and the continuity of program planning. The result of this program was well accepted and easy to understand by participants. Furthermore, during the program all participants were enthusiastic about discussion, sharing their knowledge and information between them and community service teams.

Abstract

The purpose of this service activity is to introducing medicine from early age in order to introduce pharmacists and medicine to elementary school students. The lack of knowledge about medicines in the community begins with the provision of knowledge from an early age to elementary school students because they will later become adolescents and reduce drug abuse in the community as frequently happens to high school students or college students. The method of these activities is carried out by means of online learning using several platforms, including: class whatsapp group, google form, and youtube link. Before being given the material, a pretest and posttest was admitted at the beginning and end of the activity. There are two materials provided, first, introducing Pharmacist Profession and education for DaGuSiBu. The participants of this activity were elementary students of grade 4,5 and 6 SDN Losari. In addition, this service is expected to motivate students to have awareness and be able to supervise other classmates for practicing medicines properly.The results was found that the students received education related to the Pharmacist Profession and understood about DaGuSiBu (properly get, use, save, and throw away the medicines) with the results of the average pretest and posttest scores about Pharmacist of 7.08 and 7.23 respectively, meanwhile DaGuSiBu education was 6.20 for pretest and postest 7.18. So it can be concluded that there was increasing points in knowledge after being given education.
