Jurnal Ilmiah Sarasvati (SV) awalnya dibuat pada tahun 2019 dengan penerbit Fakultas Bahasa dan Sains Universitas Wijaya Kusuma Surabaya. Pada tahun yang sama terdaftar ISSN oleh LIPI dengan nomer ISSN 2685-6808 yang terbit secara cetak dan sudah direview oleh mitra bestari. Pada tahun yang sama dibangun pembuatan Sarasvati secara online atau Open Journal System (OJS). Seluruh pengelolaan baik penerimaan artikel sampai review artikel dilakukan secara online. Terbitnya jurnal setiap tahun dua kali dengan jumlah 9 artikel tiap kali terbitan. Sarasvati diterbitkan oleh Lembaga Penelitian dan Pengabdian Masyarakat (LPPM). Jurnal Ilmiah Sarsavati (SV) merupakan terbitan ilmiah berkala yang memuat artikel berbahasa Indonesia hasil penelitian dan kajian bidang bahasa dan sastra, baik bahasa/sastra Indonesia, bahasa/sastra daerah, bahasa/sastra asing, maupun pengajaran bahasa/sastra Indonesia. Sarasvati terbit setahun dua kali. Naskah yang akan diterbitkan dalam Sarasvati hanya naskah yang belum pernah dipubikasikan atau dimuat dalam jurnal lain. Penulis yang akan menerbitkan artikelnya harap mengikuti pedoman penulisan yang berlaku pada Sarasvati. Seluruh pengelolaan baik penerimaan artikel sampai review artikel dilakukan secara online. Bahasa Utama : Penerimaan artikel dalam bahasa Indonesia sedangkan bahasa tambahan : Abstrak diharuskan ditulis dengan 2 bahasa, yaitu bahasa Indonesia dan Inggris

Abstract

The use of language is the most important part of communication. Without using language, communication between humans cannot be done. Indonesia is a country that has various ethnic groups, cultures, languages, races and religions. Based on this, of course, in Indonesia there are various kinds of regional languages. One of the regional languages is Sundanese which is used by the Sundanese. This study aims to preserve the local language (Sundanese) among teenagers. This research uses a case study method with a qualitative approach, this research is carried out by exploring and describing the phenomena that occur. The current phenomenon is that teenagers who are local language maintainers have started to rarely use local languages. The position of regional languages has decreased, including the use of Sundanese. This can be influenced by the use of a second language, both Indonesian and foreign languages. Teenagers think that Indonesian and foreign languages have a more prestigious position than regional languages. Therefore, the use of Sundanese is considered important with a view to preserving and maintaining the Sundanese language.

Abstract

The purpose of this study, is to improve the anecdote writing skills of class X OTKP students of SMK Negeri 1 Telen in the academic year 2020/2021 by implementing a genius learning strategy. Classroom action research methods. Classroom action research design begins with planning, action, observe and reflect. Learning with a genius learning strategy can improve the results of anecdotal writing skills. This can be seen from the average score of writing anecdotes before being given action was 64.53, after being given the action at the end of the first cycle the average score became 75.58. The average score of writing anecdotes at the end of cycle II was 85.00. This indicates an increase of 20.47 points. Overall, at the end of the second cycle, all aspects and criteria for writing anecdotes had a significant increase. From the results of the above research, it is evident that the use of the genius learning strategy is considered successful and can improve the anecdote writing skills of the students of class X OTKP SMK Negeri 1 Telen.

Abstract

This study examines the morphology of the Gorontalo Folklore of the Panipi War based on Propp's narratological theory. The purpose of this study was to determine the structure of the Panipi War folklore. This study uses a qualitative method with the method of structural analysis of narratology. Data collection techniques using literature study (documentation). The data that has been found were analyzed using structural analysis techniques. Starting with analyzing the findings from heuristic and hermeneutic reading, especially focusing on story morphemes, namely the function of actors who build stories according to Vladimir Propp, consists of 31 actors' functions. Furthermore, it is inserted into the character's action environment which will clarify the character's behavior in the story. The results showed that there were twelve main narrative functions, 3 story patterns with 4 action circles in the Panipi War folklore.

Abstract

This study aims to improve the discussion learning process and improve discussion skills of class XI students of SMA Negeri 1 Muara Wahau through the Two Stay Two Stray learning model. The Two Stay Two Stray learning model was chosen because it can stimulate and encourage students to actively speak to convey ideas / ideas in discussion activities. The subjects of this study were students of class XI MIPA SMA Negeri 1 Muara Wahau. The data in this study were obtained through observation, interviews, student discussion skills tests, field notes, and documentation. Data were analyzed using qualitative descriptive techniques. The validity of the data was obtained through the validity (democratic, process, dialogic, results) of interview transcripts, observation sheets, discussion assessment sheets, and photos of activities. The results of the research obtained are the percentage of discussion skills indicators achievement has increased in each cycle. The students' average ability in discussing before the implementation of the action was categorized as lacking. However, after implementing the action for two cycles, the students' average ability in discussion was categorized as excellent. The results showed: (1) in the process, discussion learning has increased significantly. Prior to the implementation of the action, students were still not actively discussing and were not able to cooperate properly during the discussion. After the implementation of the action, students become active and able to work well together during discussions; (2) in product terms, students in discussions during the pre-action with an average score of 10, 63 and at the end of the implementation of the action, namely cycle II to 20.88. Students' ability in discussing has increased by 10.25

Abstract

This research examines the construction of female sexuality in the novel the beauty and sorrow of the works of Yasunari Kawabata. This research is qualitative research that does study of novel the beauty and sorrow of the works of Yasunari Kawabrata. The method used is the deskiptif method that is collecting data, clarification of data, manipulate data, and interpret the data in accordance with the theory that was used at the time the research was conducted. In the novel the beauty and sorrow of the works of Yasunari Kawabata, reflecting the construction of female sexuality. The construction of female sexuality that, first, the novel represents the female body through the figures. The representation of the female body in the text of the novel disegmentasikan by displaying the marker women sexy. Second, the representation of female sexual desire in the novel beauty and Sadness is presented through the desire character Otoko and Keiko to transmit sexual desires with her partner. Third, representations of female sexuality in the relation of beauty and sadness, by Yasunari Kawabata was still predominantly on the male as the subject.

Abstract

Research applies a learning model with a scientific approach to learning. It is hoped that by applying a learning model with a scientific approach in learning, students will be more active so that their learning outcomes will increase. This study used a Classroom Action research design. The use of the scientific approach learning model can improve student learning outcomes achieving a class average score of 83 with a percentage level of completeness of 83.3% in Indonesian language learning on the material "Explanatory Text" in class VIII E SMP Negeri 1 Jebus in the 2020/2021 school year.

Abstract

Dangdut song is one of type art as literature, it is a human cultural activities. Based on this background, the focus in this study is: (1) the culture of sexuality, (2) the culture of materialism, (3) the culture of consumerism in the lyrics of dangdut songs. It used theory in this research is cultural studies the studies based on an interdisciplinary perspective that some theories are intertwined the culture of hedonism. The research used the descriptive qualitative research method. Based on the results of research, we can conclude (1) the culture of sexuality that are found in the lyrics of dangdut songs. It is related with the genitals, body and sexual exploitation againts women, sexual relations outside marriage and sex as infidelity, (2) the culture of materialism, it is assumes if everything is just based properties or goods that look, also reflected in the dangdut song that leads into hedonism, and (3) in the lyrics of dangdut songs also there is a culture of consumerism and wasteful consume excessive behavior. In addition, there is also a culture of consumerism in the form of things that are not allowed according to the religious such as liqour.

Abstract

Efforts have been made to improve the quality of education and develop the character and culture of the nation, especially by educators. The phenomenon of Indonesian people's lives which shows the weakening of the character and culture of the nation which has been believed to have been a characteristic of the Indonesian Nation. Related to this, the problem of a teacher in guiding and fostering their students is very complex. This happens because of many phenomena, one of which is the rise of global culture and the lifestyle of Pop Culture, life tends to be hedonist. People who do not follow this lifestyle will feel inferior. This phenomenon is considered as the impact of the current of globalization which is no longer possible to stem.

Abstract

Abstract Moral education is a core component in the world of education. Because humans need not only knowledge but also religious spiritual strength to form a complete human being (insan kamil) in accordance with Islamic norms. One of the ways is through high-quality literary works, namely the novel Light in the corner of the Heart by Alberthiene Endah. This study aims to determine: 1) The values of moral education in relation to God. 2) The values of moral education in relation to oneself. 3) The values of moral education in relation to others. This research is a descriptive qualitative type of research, while the data used is in the form of verbal data in the form of dialogue between characters, narratives, signs that describe moral education, and quotes that describe moral education. The data analysis used in this research is content analysis. The results of this study include three things. 1) There are three values of moral education in relation to God, namely: faith in God, obedience to worship and gratitude. 2) There are ten moral values in relation to oneself, namely: honesty, responsibility, healthy lifestyle, discipline, hard work, confidence, entrepreneurial spirit, creative, independent and curiosity. 3) There are three moral values in relation to others, namely: being aware of one's obligations and of others, appreciating achievements and being friendly.Keywords: values, moral education, novels
