Abstract

This research aims to design a geopolymer concrete mix with the addition of waste flex banner fiber and to study its effects on various physical and mechanical properties of the concrete. The study focuses on the influence of flex banner fiber on the density of geopolymer concrete, workability with a target slump value of 90 mm, and the compressive and splitting tensile strength with flex banner fiber additions of 0.5%, 0.75%, and 1.0% by weight of fly ash. The research method involves curing the concrete in water for 7, 14, and 28 days. The results indicate that the addition of flex banner fiber increases the density of geopolymer concrete, achieving an optimal density of 2462.83 kg/m³. This study also shows that the workability of the flex banner fiber mix in geopolymer concrete meets the target slump value of 90 mm at a 0.75% fiber addition. As the fiber percentage increases, a significant reduction in slump value occurs. At 0.5% fiber content, the slump value decreases to 110 mm, while at 1% fiber content, the slump value drops to 53 mm. The addition of flex banner fiber improves the mechanical properties of geopolymer concrete. The compressive strength of geopolymer concrete with 0.75% fiber addition increases by 4.19%. Furthermore, the optimal splitting tensile strength is achieved with a 0.61% flex banner fiber addition.

Abstract

The problem of waste generation in urban areas continues to increase along with population growth. An increase in population of 0.98% in the research location contributed to the high volume of waste. This research aims to get a design, especially in the layout, structural analysis of the 3R Waste Temporary Shelter (TPS) building and cost budget plan (RAB). In the process of building a TPS 3R building, several technical aspects are considered in order to determine the layout of the building and the strength of the building construction so that it can function optimally. The method used uses structural analysis calculations, while checking beams and columns using ETABS ver.21 software. Based on the structural analysis, the TPS 3R building is planned with dimensions of 19.3 × 4.2 m using reinforced concrete material with a roof covering structure in the form of a concrete deck. The structural material specifications used are concrete with a quality of 22.84 MPa and the yield quality of reinforcing steel (fy) 420 MPa. The dimensions of the column structural elements are K30x30 cm, B20x40 cm main beam and 12 cm thick concrete slab. The structural analysis output of the planned building shows purple-colored columns with a strength ratio of 0.90 to 0.95, indicating that the structure is reasonably safe against working loads. Meanwhile, the black-colored beams indicate that the structure is safe against the working load. Keywords: Waste generation, TPS 3R, Structural analysis.

Abstract

In the construction sector, the Construction Safety Management System (SMKK) has been determined by the Regulation of the Minister of Public Works No. 10 of 2021 as a reference for addressing the risk of industrial accidents and improving building safety. Full implementation of occupational safety (K3) can minimize the risk of work accidents. However, in reality, there are still many obstacles for companies and employees, and many accidents in the workplace are caused by unsafe behavior factors by the workers themselves. The methodology used in this study involves various approaches, such as literature review and primary data acquisition through questionnaires targeting respondents in construction project environments. The collected data will be analyzed using the Structural Equation Modeling method to identify important variables. Data processing was performed using the Smart-PLS version 4.1.0.1 application to determine the outer and inner models. Hypothesis testing was conducted using bootstrapping, considering the Original Sample values, T-statistics, and P-values. Based on the results, it is concluded that safety leadership has a significant indirect influence on improving safety performance. The strengthening of leadership aspects has the largest impact on improving safety culture, which then influences the improvement of construction safety performance, with an original sample (O) value of 0.273, a sample mean (M) of 0.277, a standard deviation (STDEV) of 0.177, a T-statistic value of 2.324, and a P-value of 0.001. Furthermore, effective safety evaluation (e.g., constructive and systematic evaluation) can help build a stronger safety culture, which in turn will improve overall safety performance. The implementation of innovation in construction processes or safety technology can also encourage better safety behavior among workers, which then contributes to improved safety performance.

Abstract

The implementation of the Occupational Safety and Health Management System (SMK3) in construction projects is an absolute necessity considering the high potential risk of work accidents. This study aims to evaluate the extent to which SMK3 is implemented in the construction project of the POLRI and BIN Flats (Rusun) in the Core Area of the Government Center (KIPP) of the National Capital City (IKN). The research method used is a quantitative approach by distributing questionnaires to 106 respondents consisting of project managers, supervisors, and field workers. The results of the analysis show that the average level of SMK3 implementation is in the good category (mean = 4.06 on a scale of 5). The highest indicators are in the safety culture aspect and the role of the K3 manager. However, there are still challenges in the logistics and coordination aspects across jobs. This study recommends increasing the integration of safety technology and regular training for workers.

Abstract

The Citonjong River, located within the Ciwulan-Cilaki Watershed (DAS) in West Java, frequently experiences flooding due to reduced catchment capacity, sedimentation, and embankment instability. This study analyzes the stability of the Citonjong River embankment at four design segments (TPT 2.5 m, 3.6 m, 4.5 m, and 5.0 m) using GEO5 2022 software. The analysis includes the stability of cantilever structures, pile capacity, slope stability, and lateral deformation under both static and seismic conditions, with low water levels and flooding. Geotechnical parameters were obtained from field investigations, while structural parameters adhere to the SNI 8460-2017 standards. The results indicate that all segments meet the minimum safety factors for overturning (1.5 static, 1.1 seismic), slope stability (1.5 static, 1.1 seismic), and vertical bearing capacity (2.5), with lateral deformation remaining below the 60 mm threshold. Recommendations include the installation of erosion protection, such as gabions or riprap, at river bends to enhance the passive resistance of the Continuous Concrete Sheet Piles (CCSP).
