Abstract

This research aims to determine students' difficulties in learning mathematics, multiplication and division material in elementary school. The method used is the literature study method. The research subjects are articles and books related to the research topic. The results of this research show that students' difficulties in learning mathematics on multiplication and division in elementary school are caused by a lack of student motivation to learn, using the wrong process, not being careful, not having memorized multiplication and division, feeling bored when learning multiplication and division, not knowing the first steps in working on questions. mathematics stories, not focusing when learning, and misconceptions about multiplication and division. The difficulties faced by students are difficulties in calculations, understanding concepts, differences in place value, differences in arithmetic operation symbols, and understanding mathematical story problems. The solution to overcome these difficulties is that teachers require students to memorize multiplication 15 minutes before starting learning, use singing methods, use mathematics, use fun learning models, and motivate students to increase their interest in learning in class. Parents at home are expected to guide and help children in completing their assignments.

Abstract

This study aims to examine to what extent that project based learning improves student learning outcomes in learning science about water cycles. This is a classroom action research with two cycles conducted in the fifth grade class in an private primary school. The author collected data by conducting evaluation tests and classroom observation in learning the water cycle material. The instruments used are evaluation test and observation sheets. To analyze the data in this study using qualitative and quantitative data analysis techniques. The findings show that there is an increase in learning outcomes from cycle 1 (average score 73) and cycle 2 (average score 86). These findings indicate that the application of project-based learning for the water cycle material in science subjects has proven effective in increasing learning outcomes and students’ participation. The results can certainly be used by primary school teachers as a reference in teaching water cycle material or other related materials in science subjects. In addition, of course, this study reports on how to apply empirically the application of project-based learning as a variation of student-centered learning methods and promote student participation and collaboration, especially in science subjects.

Abstract

Based on learning observations conducted at Siman 1 Public Elementary School, Ponorogo Regency obtained that the mathematical understanding of grade 5 in determining the volume of geometric volume was not satisfactory. An alternative solution to solve this problem was implementation of Problem Based Learning assisted by interactive e-module. This study aims to describe students’ mathematical understanding on the geometric volume in grade 5. This study used classroom action research from Kemmis & McTaggart. This research has been carried out in three cycles, each cycle was 3x35 minutes long. The result of the study indicated an improve in mathematical understanding, in cycle 1 the percentage of classroom completeness showed 58%, in cycle 2 up to 71%, and in cycle 3 became 79%. Therefore, implementation of Problem Based Learning assisted by interactive e-module could improve students’ mathematical understanding in geometric volume

Abstract

Based on the results of observations at Bandung 2 Public Elementary School, Jombang district, it showed that there were low student learning outcomes, especially in folding and rotating symmetry material. This research is a collaborative class action (PTKK) to improve mathematics learning outcomes in folding symmetry and rotational symmetry material using the PBL model through the demonstration method in class III SD Negeri Bandung 2 Jombang Regency in the 2022/2023 academic year. Data collection techniques used in this study are observation and tests. The research data were analyzed using descriptive-qualitative and descriptive-quantitative methods. The results of the study using the PBL model through the demonstration method in cycle I obtained a complete percentage of learning outcomes of 64%. Whereas in cycle II, the completeness of learning outcomes increased to 88%. In conclusion, the application of the PBL model through the demonstration method can improve the learning outcomes of class III students at SD Negeri Bandung 2, Jombang Regency.

Abstract

The aim of the research is to increase the application of the PjBL model in increasing the creativity and learning achievement of Flat-Round Mathematics for Class IV Semester II Students at SD Negeri 6 Punung for the 2022/2023 Academic Year. This research is a type of classroom action research. The research subjects were 5 students in Class IV of SD Negeri 6 Punung. Data collection: observation, questionnaires, tests, and documentation. Creative success is at least "good" with a conversion of 10.5 ≤ x < 13.5 creative involvement and student learning achievement 70 on a rating scale of 1-100. Data analysis was carried out using qualitative and quantitative. The research results show that (a) the PjBL model can increase student creativity in all indicators, namely discipline, creative work, inspiration and insight, improvisation, imagination, and incubation (b) Student learning achievement increases from average to very high at the end of the cycle.

Abstract

Online and offline learning during the Covid-19 pandemic requires teachers to ensure that participants remain enthusiastic and active in learning. This research aims to improve student learning outcomes in solo singing material by utilizing interactive learning media in the form of Smart Apps Creator (SAC). This Classroom Action Research was carried out at SMPN 4 Mataram in class IX, Odd Semester of the 2020/2021 Academic Year. Data from student learning outcomes regarding knowledge and skills aspects in cycles I, II and III are analyzed quantitatively and followed up in each learning cycle.  The research results show that the use of SAC learning media can improve learning outcomes.  The increase in student learning outcomes in the knowledge aspect from cycle I to cycle II increased by 20.6 points and from cycle II to cycle III increased by 12.4 points.  The skills aspect from cycle I to cycle II increased by 19 points and from cycle II to cycle III increased by 17 points.  So, students can use SAC learning media and students' learning outcomes in solo singing material aspects of knowledge and skills increase.

Abstract

Item analysis is very important because it can help teachers to find out whether the measurement tools given to students can measure students' abilities. Some things that need to be analyzed from the questions and student learning outcomes are the suitability of the items, the level of difficulty, and also the abilities of students. So this article will discuss it. This research is a quantitative descriptive evaluative research. The research subjects were students' answers to questions on Madrasah Assessment in Social Sciences. Data analysis of student learning outcomes was carried out using the Winstep 3.73 application. The results of this study note that the IPS Assessment questions have compatibility with the fit characteristics because they can meet at least one of the three criteria that have been set. Then the questions have varying levels of difficulty because three questions fall into the category of too difficult and too easy. Furthermore, if seen from the student's ability to answer the questions, abnormal patterns were found, so the teacher needs to review the student's learning outcomes.

Abstract

The learning model is one of the factors that determine the success of the learning process. Learning models that are not in accordance with the characteristics of students and learning materials can cause low learning outcomes. The purpose of the study was to improve learning outcomes on science learning material on the life cycle of living things through the use of the Quantum Teaching Learning Model. The research method used is Collaborative Classroom Action Research. The research subjects were fourth grade students of SD Negeri Keden 2 Kalijambe which amounted to 13 students. The research data was collected by using test technique using the instrument of description questions. The research data was analyzed descriptively quantitatively. Based on the research data, it is known that the learning outcomes of students have increased. Learners who get scores above the KKM for Pre-Cycle (15.38%), Cycle I (46.15%), and Cycle II (100%), so that the percentage increase in learning outcomes from Pre-Cycle to Cycle I is 30.77% and Cycle I to Cycle II is 53.85%. Thus, it can be concluded that the use of the Quantum Teaching learning model can improve student learning outcomes in science learning.

Abstract

The research background is the low student learning outcomes in mathematics, especially in cube root material. This type of research is classroom action research (CAR) which aims to investigate the application of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model with the help of Pakapati media in improving student learning outcomes. The PBL method is used as a learning approach that emphasizes problem solving and developing critical thinking skills, while Pakapati media is used as an interactive tool to support active learning. This research was conducted through two cycles of CAR. The research subjects were fifth grade students at Kanisius Gayam I Elementary School Yogyakarta, which consisted of 30 students. Data collection was carried out by interviews, observations and tests. Data analysis techniques used are quantitative and qualitative. The results of the study show that the application of the PBL model with the help of Pakapati media can improve student learning outcomes. This can be shown from the increase in student learning outcomes starting from the pre-cycle stage to cycle 2 where in the pre-cycle the percentage of students who achieve scores above the Minimum Completeness Criteria (KKM) is 30%, in cycle I it becomes 40%, and 60% in cycle II.

Abstract

This research was motivated by the low learning outcomes of students on the theme of technological development in Class III. The research was conducted with the aim of discussing and obtaining information about the Application of Differentiated Learning on the Theme of Technology Development to Improve Learning Outcomes of Elementary School Students The type of research conducted was Classroom Action Research (PTK). The location of this research is at SD Negeri 19 Kuamang. The subjects in this study were grade III students of SD Negeri 19 Kuamang with a total of 30 people. This research was carried out in the even semester of the 2022/2023 academic year (January-June) starting in February 2023. The research process is divided into two cycles, each with four stages: preparation, execution, observation, and reflection. Techniques for collecting data include observation, experiments, documentation, and field notes. Data analysis is carried out using percentage calculations. The results showed that the use of differentiated learning models can improve student learning. This is shown by the increasing percentage of student learning outcomes pre-cycle, cycle I, and cycle II which are respectively 23%, 53%, and 90%. Therefore, it can be concluded that the use of differentiated learning can improve the learning outcomes of SD Negeri 19 Kuamang students in grade III.
