Abstract

Growth Regional Domestic Product is an indicator to measure the success of economic condition. The 27,92 percent Aceh’s GRDP is contributed by agriculture, forestry, and fisheries sector, but this sector’s growth is decreased. This study aims to explore the leading subsector/commodity in agriculture, forestry, and fisheries sector. This study uses secondary data in the form of Aceh’s GRDP and Indonesia GDP from 2017-2021 taken from the Aceh BPS and Indonesia BPS Websites. Data is analyzed with three approaches namely Location Quotient, Dynamic Location Quotient and Differential Shift. It is found that the superior subsectors are horticultural crops, husbandry, and agricultural services & hunting with leading commodities namely large chilli, cayenne pepper, shallots, long beans, cucumber, bananas, papaya goats, broilers, free-range chickens, and ducks Furthermore, the sub-sector that has the potential to become a leading sector in the future is plantation crops. Although the competitiveness of the agricultural, forestry and fisheries sectors is still lower than the national level. However, this sector still plays a large role towards Aceh's GRDP.

Abstract

The price of chili commodity can be used as the main indicator of inflation because it can respond quickly, especially to changes in demand and economic changes. Production fluctuations and consumption fluctuations have an impact on price fluctuations. Prediction of time series data using the ARIMA model approach has good performance for predicting chili prices in the future. Crucial province is the province that has big impact such as the province with the highest production, or the province with the highest consumption or the province with the gaps such as Jawa barat and Banten province. The purpose of this research is to create a time series model to predict chili prices in Jawa barat and Banten provinces and to measure and compare the level of volatility in chili prices in Jawa barat and Banten provinces. The best ARIMA model for chili price data in Jawa Barat and Banten Provinces is the ARIMA model (0,1,1). The results of chili forecast data in the provinces of Jawa Barat and Banten using the ARIMA model show relatively stable prices. The volatility of chili prices in Jawa Barat province is 19.68%. Chili price volatility in Banten province is 20.49%. This shows that the volatility level of chili prices in Jawa Barat province is relatively lower than in Banten province, although it is relatively the same and is still under control. This is confirmed by the result that the model has no ARCH effect.

Abstract

Phyllosticta zingiberi leaf spot disease causes leaf damage, causing low yields. Control efforts carried out by farmers have yet to yield maximum results, so effective and applicable control techniques are needed, including combining the use of fungicides and foliar fertilizers. The study aimed to determine the effective concentrations of fungicides and foliar fertilizers for controlling leaf spot disease and their effect on Red Ginger productivity and farming. The research was conducted in Argodadi Village, Sedayu District, Bantul Regency, from November 18, 2020, to August 18 2021, in a factorial manner which was arranged in a complete randomized block design consisting of 2 factors with three concentration levels, namely fungicide as much as 0 L/Ha, 6 L/Ha, 12 L /Ha and 0 L/Ha, 10 L/Ha, 20 L/Ha foliar fertilizer. The results showed that applying 6 L/Ha fungicides reduced the intensity of attacks and the percentage of plants affected by leaf spot disease by 56.03% and 65.90%, respectively. While the combination treatment of 12 L/Ha of fungicide and 20 L/Ha of foliar fertilizer was able to increase ginger productivity by increasing plant height, number of tillers, fresh ginger rhizome weight of 0.34 kg/plant and financial benefits in the farming of Rp. 49,180,916 per Ha with an R/C ratio of 1.35.

Abstract

Forests play an important role in terms of poverty alleviation, increasing welfare and providing additional income. Forests in Indonesia can be cultivated for farmers on the basis of social forestry programs. The Special Region of Yogyakarta has a forest area of around 19,030ha with the proportion of 15,711.70ha being production forest and 4,318.80ha being protected forest. Community income derived from forests is very fluctuating so that a suitable program is needed to be implemented. This study aims to analyze the increase incomeof forest farmers participating in the Eucalyptus forestry program. The number of respondents collected was 74 forest farmers and interviews and observations were carried out to obtain detailed results. The next test is the t test, which compares the average income between eucalyptus forest farmers and non-eucalyptus forest farmers. The average beetween in the income of forest farmers with and without eucalyptus is 24%. The results of the t test show that the value of Sig. shows the number 0.000 or <0.005 so that it can be said that the difference in income between forest farmers with eucalyptus and forest farmers without eucalyptus is significant.
