Abstract

Puji dan syukur kami haturkan kehadirat Allah SWT, karena atas rahmat dan hidayah-Nya, Prosiding ini dapat diselesaikan dengan baik. Prosiding ini merupakan kumpulan makalah yang telah dipresentasikan dan didiskusikan dalam Seminar Nasional Pemberdayaan Masyarakat tahun 2020 yang diselenggarakan oleh Lembaga Penelitian dan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat Universitas Riau (LPPM Universitas Riau) pada tanggal 19 November 2020 di Pekanbaru, dengan tema Penerapan inovasi dan teknologi pada kegiatan pemberdayaan masyarakat dan penanganan pandemi Covid-19 di Indonesia. Prosiding ini disusun untuk mendokumentasikan gagasan dan hasil pengabdian kepada masyarakat terkait dengan pemberdayaan masyarakat yang dikelompokkan ke dalam 6 sub tema, yaitu Penerapan inovasi dan teknologi dalam pengabdian masyarakat, Pemberdayaan masyarakat melalui pemanfaatan potensi desa, Pemanfaatan TIK dalam pembelajaran daring, Pemanfaatan sistem informasi geospasial dalam pemberdayaan masyarakat, Pemberdayaan masyarakat pada era new normal, Pencegahan dan pengendalian covid 19 di masyarakat. Prosiding ini diharapkan dapat memberikan wawasan tentang pemberdayaan masyarakat berkelanjutan di masa yang akan datang. Dengan demikian hasil pengabdian dalam prosiding ini dapat dijadikan sebagai rujukan dan memotivasi terwujudnya pemberdayaan masyarakat yang berkelanjutan dan membawa kesejahteraan. Prosiding ini terdiri dari hasil pengabdian dari 22 Perguruan Tinggi dan Institusi di Indonesia yaitu, Universitas Riau, UIN Sultan Syarif Kasim Riau, Universitas Lancang Kuning, Balai Litbang Teknologi Serat Tanaman Hutan Riau, BP2TSTH - BLI KLHK, Politeknik Caltex Riau, Politeknik Negeri Bengkalis, Universitas Andalas, Universitas Sumatera Utara, Universitas Jambi, Universitas Sriwijaya, Politeknik Negeri Sriwijaya, Universitas Lampung, Universitas Bengkulu, Institut Pertanian Bogor, Universitas Gadjah Mada, Universitas Budi Luhur, Universitas Sebelas Maret, Universitas Kristen Satya Wacana, Universitas Palangka Raya, Universitas Muhammadiyah Malang, dan Universitas Hasanuddin. Abstract

Pandemic in the form of Covid-19 is a new type of disease caused by SARS-CoV-2 virus or Corona virus which can cause health problems in the form of respiratory system disorders, starting from mild symptoms such as flu, to lung infections, such as pneumonia. To maintain body immunity against Covid 19, nutritious food ingredients in the form of catfish are needed. Catfish is a type of fish that has a high economic value, where apart from being easy to cultivate, this fish also contains very high nutrients, namely 17.63% protein, 1.07% ash, 2.23% fat (DW), 12.14%, fat (WW), moisture content 81.57%, 47.15% saturated fatty acids, MUFA 40.41%, PUFA 12.45%. Therefore, it is very good for consumption during a pandemic. However, not everyone likes to consume catfish fresh, so it is processed in the form of catfish noodles. To increase consumer preference for catfish noodles, natural dyes from spinach and carrots are added which will give green and orange colors and attract consumers, so that ultimately nutrient-rich noodles are produced. This activity was carried out with 10 participants by implementing health protocols that aim to provide insight and practical knowledge to community groups in Rumbai Bukit Village, Rumbai District about fish noodle processing techniques so that they can increase family income, especially during the pandemic. The enthusiasm of the participants was very high so that the activity went smoothly. From the post-test results, it was found that 100% of the participants had understood the diversification techniques of fishery product processing.

Abstract

This paper aimed to develop the tourism potential of Sepahat Village, Bandar Laksamana District, Bengkalis Regency, what has been carried out, the obstacles are faced, and guidance efforts are carried out to support the realization of a tourist village, as well as recommendations that can be undertaken in the future. This community service activity used several methods, namely FGD, consultation, mentoring, and training. Focus Group Discussion (FGD) was conducted between the companion team (community service) with a team of cross-disciplinary and cross-university experts who were concerned and experienced in developing and assisting the fostered village and tourism village. FGD was also undertaken with the village head and local community leader. Consultation was carried out between local business actors, village head and community service team. Assistance was carried out between business actors directly related or as a support to tourism activities with local groups. The exploration of new economic potential in developing tourist villages, adding to the existing potential on the coast with peat soil, identifying a number of activities to encourage the realization of tourism villages, active participation and strong support from the society and local officials, gathering of society in tourism awareness groups, and also received a number of policy proposals to strengthen tourism village institutions.

Abstract

The incidence of Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus (DM) in rural areas shows an increasing number. For this reason, efforts to control diabetes need to be done through education to the public. Community service was conducted in the village of BuluhCina which is one of the fostered villages of Kampung Pelita Medika FK UNRI. Education is provided with Kukerta students through socialization of a healthy diet and checking blood sugar as a risk factor. Through this service, it is hoped that the community will have the awareness to control the risk factors for DM in BuluhCina village.

Abstract

This community service provides voter education to first-time voters in Bandar Lampung City and Lampung Selatan Regency. In December these two regencies/cities will hold a regional head election simoustanly. It is hoped that by providing voter education, the level of voters political knowledge can increase will not only understand their rights as citizens to vote but also understand the aims and objectives of the elections, understand democracy, regional head elections, and political participation so that new voters hope to become smart and politically literate voters. This service was carried out to assess the knowledge and understanding of the seminar participants using an initial evaluation by filling out an online questionnaire via google form. This method is used to determine the level of knowledge and understanding of participants about democracy, regional elections, and political participation. As well as providing seminar materials related to regional elections, political participation, and public policy. Final evaluation through discussion on issues that have not been understood related to the material presented and the increase in participant knowledge. The number of participants for the voter education service for beginners is 40 people is carried out online through the Zoom application and face-to-face physical because of the COVID-19 pandemic conditions and also because of the service location is in two places and carried out at the same time. Many participants do not know that in December, the regional elections will hold simultaneously. And there are still participants who think that voting during the elections is an obligation as a citizen, not a citizen's right. And there are always participants who do not know about the election management institutions, namely the General Election Commission and the Election Supervisory Board. In the interest to accept money politics, many new voters are interested in receiving money politics on election day. It shows that some beginner voters are willing to take money politics in the upcoming regional elections, so it is necessary to understand that money politics destroys democracy. After filling in the questionnaire, we provided materials about democracy, regional elections, political participation, and money politics. We offer the understanding to voters that the goal of democracy is to create a government that can provide prosperity to its people, and there are ways to select regional head candidates through elections, so voters must be critical to see the track records and backgrounds of local head candidates so that the correct regional head is elected. true in accordance with the aspirations of society.

Abstract

Entrepreneurial competence is a fundamental factor possessed by someone who has more abilities, which makes him different from someone who has average abilities. Entrepreneurial competence is an individual characteristic which includes attitudes and habits, where entrepreneurs can achieve and maintain business success. KUBE Griya Kain Tuan Kentang is located in the Tuan Kentang 4 area of Ulu Palembang and houses 25 Palembang-style cloth craftsmen. Weaving fabrics and batik with a unique special pattern. These are increasingly popular and are known to be used as materials for fashion designs for clothing, accessories for necklaces and bags. Moreover, the Palembang local government made the woven cloth a mandatory garment for official uniforms on Fridays and special days. This condition provides a great opportunity for KUBE to improve the quality of its production to foreign countries The problem with Kube Griya Kain Tuan Kentang has human resources with limited competence, is not able to speak English actively, knowledge of bookkeeping and preparation of financial reports as well as knowledge and application of taxes on business activities Palembang woven fabrics. The Regional Superior Product Development Program for Palembang's unique woven fabrics is an activity of implementing science and technology from the Sriwijaya State Polytechnic funded through the Director General of Higher Education as an effort to develop the cultural assets of the Palembang area in the form of tajung, blongsong and jupri woven fabrics. This activity aims to spur and develop superior woven fabrics typical of the Palembang region as an effort to improve quality, product quantity, distribution and marketing. To improve entrepreneurship competence, practical English language training was held, Financial Report Preparation, Selling Price Calculation and Determination, Calculation and Determination of Sales Tax for Kube Administrators and MSME Owners The method of implementation is carried out by disseminating activities, holding scheduled training in accordance with the agreement and mentoring activities, to see the success of the activity an evaluation is held by means of monitoring and distributing questions. The resulting output is in the form of increased knowledge for administrators and managers, in other words the Entrepreneurship Competence of Human Resources of Kube Griya Tuan Kentang has increased by 45%.

Abstract

Gadjah Mada University (UGM) students conducted community empowerment activity in providing service to the community during the Covid-19 Pandemic era through Student Community Services Learning (SCL)Program. The goal was to help deal with the Covid-19 Pandemic impacted the community from various sectors, such as social, economic, education, culture, using various science and technology, especially internet-communication, to support the education. The SCL program is carried out in the emergency response and the recovery phase. The implementation was determined based on the UGM Chancellor's Circular. Operational implementation in the field during the emergency response phase was carried out through assistance in understanding and mitigating the Covid-19 pandemic. The results of SCL activities during the pandemic showed a real contribution in handling the emergency response period and the recovery period of the impact of the Covid-19 Pandemic. The approach is taken by prioritizing the humanities' social approach, namely paying attention to the community's background, local elements, equality, customs, and culture, and the conditions in the society it faces.

Abstract

In early 2020, the world was shocked by the outbreak of new pneumonia that started in Wuhan, Hubei Province which then spread rapidly to more than 190 countries and territories. This outbreak is named coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) which is caused by Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus-2 (SARS-CoV-2). People are not aware that their hands are often contaminated with bacteria and viruses during their activities. One of the simplest ways and can be done to prevent this is to wash your hands using soap or antiseptic, hand sanitizer. Washing your hands can reduce the number of bacteria by up to 58%. The advantages of hand sanitizers can kill germs in a relatively fast time. The active ingredients of hand sanitizers are generally alcohol group compounds with a concentration of ± 60% to 80% and the phenol group (triclosan) so that they have a mechanism of action by denaturing and coagulating cell protein germs. Therefore, making hand sanitizers in simple stages can be done alone in community service activities. This service aims to find out how high public awareness is in dealing with the Covid-19 outbreak in everyday life. Evaluation of the service activities that will be carried out is to see how many people are aware of the importance of protecting themselves and the environment and maintaining distance in order to break the chain of spreading the virus.

Abstract

Puri Berlian waste bank is located in RT.04/RW.02 of Air Putih Village, Tampan District. Based on the FGD result (focus group discussion) with the waste bank management, several issues can be identified, namely: waste bank is inactive during the Covid-19 Pandemic that causes the piling of the customers wastes; lack of literacy regarding waste, most of the customers have yet to understand the impacts caused by waste as well as the management of waste banks. The goal to be achieved is re-activating the activity of the waste bank during this new normal era while providing the general knowledge about waste towards the members. The methods used for this study are giving socialization and education regarding the benefit of waste banks, supporting the reactivation of waste bank activities, and formulating the development plan for the waste bank. The results of this study show that the activity of waste storing is recommenced gradually, local people who have not become the member are persuaded to be the customer, and the development of a bank subunit of used cooking oil (minyak jelantah) is explored.

Abstract

Oyster mushrooms are one of the commodities that people are interested in to meet the needs of healthy and nutritious foods, where the demand of this fungus increases every year. In the city of Medan, oyster mushroom cultivation has begun to develop in the home industry, small to medium scale industries, but in fact it has not yet fulfilled the market demand. The low production of oyster mushrooms caused by the low knowledge of the farmer in preparation of the seed, either F-0, F-1, F-2 or F-3 and ultimately fail in baglog preparation as the final media stage for oyster mushroom production. In the seedlings and backlogs manufacturer should follow the technical culture standard preparation of seedling. Socialization has been carried out by Tim ABDIMAS with the demonstration and introducing culture and sterilization technique using saving energy autoclave, efficient in use for the mushroom farmers and expected after the program the farmers can be confident and become independent in spawn or seedling producing by themselves. The use of autoclave is very effective and significant in reducing the number of contaminated seedlings, as seen in the graph which is also presented in this paper. Knowledge of making mushroom flour with a simple method with low cost in contemporary and hygienic packaging ready to be marketed as a basic ingredient in food processed products or as an ingredient in traditional medicine is also provided.
