Abstract

Sumberkencono Village possesses significant horticultural potential, yet post-harvest limitations hinder its economic optimization. This program aims to empower the Sumberberas Farmer Group through the integration of vacuum frying technology, quality standardization (GMP), and business legality (NIB and P-IRT). The methodology followed a participatory technology transfer approach, including intensive production mentoring and digital marketing optimization. Results demonstrated a significant improvement in product quality, characterized by better texture and oil-content stability, alongside the successful formalization of business legality. The integration of Shopee and TikTok Shop as marketing channels further expanded the group's reach into the digital retail landscape. This initiative proves that the synergy between post-harvest engineering and administrative compliance is crucial for transforming traditional farmer groups into competitive agro-industrial units.

Abstract

Learning with an experiential Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (STEAM) approach has the potential to foster deeper learning processes. However, elementary school teachers generally remain unfamiliar with supporting technologies such as 3D modeling and printing. This community service program aims to enhance teachers' capacity to integrate these technologies into the curriculum. Utilizing a teacher-researcher partnership framework, the program was implemented in five stages: socialization, technical training, technology implementation, mentoring, and evaluation. The evaluation results showed a significant increase in software modeling familiarity, rising from only 4% of teachers (1 person) to 100% of teachers mastering the technical aspects. Although there was a general improvement in pedagogical capabilities, a decrease in understanding was observed regarding complex object components and technical limitations of the equipment. This emphasizes that short-term training must be supported by continuous mentoring to stabilize technology adoption. This program successfully built teachers' confidence in designing interdisciplinary learning innovations relevant to Industry 4.0 requirements.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to improve the technical skills of young people in Rantih Village, Talawi District, Sawahlunto City in operating bulldozer heavy equipment. The main problem in this village is the high unemployment rate due to low technical skills and limited access to job training that meets industry needs. The training program was carried out through a one-day theoretical and practical field learning method involving 10 participants. The activity was facilitated by lecturers and industry practitioners who are certified heavy equipment operators. The training results showed a significant improvement in the participants' knowledge and skills, particularly in the areas of basic operation, equipment maintenance, and work safety implementation, by 82%. Additionally, this activity successfully built a partnership network between universities, village governments, and the industrial world. This program is expected to continue on an ongoing basis as a form of youth empowerment towards economic independence.
