Abstract

The existence of boarding houses around public facilities is very desirable and beneficial for students who come from outside the area to study at university. However, the many choices of boarding houses with different prices, facilities and distances make students confused when choosing a temporary place to live. To overcome this problem, the web-based Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) method is used in a decision support system. This system provides recommendations or suggestions for boarding houses that match the criteria entered by the user. The user will input criteria and alternatives into the system, then the system will carry out a calculation process to provide a list of recommended boarding places. The research results show that this system can help prospective boarding house renters in choosing recommended alternative boarding places based on criteria and user input using the SAW method. With this system, students can more easily find temporary housing that suits their needs.

Abstract

An application product is said to be of quality if it meets the standards required by an internationally agreed organization. ISO 25010 is an international organization that issues standards to measure the suitability quality of an application or software developed by individuals or organizations. Getting to Know Wayang Sasak Characters is a software product designed as an Android-based augmented reality application. Therefore, the application Getting to Know Sasak Wayang Figures needs to be evaluated to determine its quality and suitability. This article aims to convey two test results of the characteristics contained in ISO 25010, namely functional suitability and performance efficiency. Functional suitability characteristics were tested using the black box method. The data collection technique was carried out using test cases. The results of the test case data processing are then calculated using the feature completeness matrix. Next, for performance efficiency characteristics, calculate the distance of the marker to the smartphone camera with the help of a ruler. Next, to find out the performance during the initial launch of the application, use the Firebase Lab Test tool. Test results for functional suitability characteristics, based on the feature completeness matrix, obtained a result of X = 0.87. These results show that the Getting to Know Sasak Wayang Characters application can run optimally even though there are still several features that are not functioning as expected. The results of performance efficiency testing by measuring market distance can detect markers up to 80 cm. The initial launch time for the application was obtained in 45 seconds using the Firebase Lab tools. The results of this research can then be used as a reference for developing the Getting to Know Sasak Wayang Characters application.

Abstract

Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) is one of the most popular algorithms used. This research aims to analyze the performance of the Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) algorithm which has been modified in the encryption and decryption process. The main focus of this research is to measure the value of the Avalanche Effect, throughput, and speed of the encryption and decryption process of modified AES by replacing the mixcolumn function with permutation bits and reducing the rotation of conventional AES algorithms, twofish, serpent, DES and 3DES. The results show that the modified AES algorithm has an Avalanche Effect of 50.20%, higher than the conventional AES algorithm which has an Avalanche Effect of 49.63%. Througput testing shows that modified AES does not experience significant changes compared to the standard AES algorithm, Serpent, Twofish, DES and 3DES during the encryption process and experiences significant changes during the decryption process of 467.37% 46 compared to DES and 1286% compared to 3DES.

Abstract

The application is designed to facilitate the teaching and learning of Al-Qur'an by providing an intuitive and informative interface for teachers, parents, and students. The software development method used in creating this application is the waterfall method due to its sequential and structured approach, suitable for projects with clear specific needs and ensuring systematic management from planning to implementation. The result of this research is an application that presents structured student report information, including academic grades, progress evaluations, and recommendations for further development. The application also utilizes WebView technology to dynamically present Al-Qur'an content and facilitate efficient use across various Android devices.

Abstract

The rapid development of web technology can be used to automate various processes, including thesis guidance. The thesis guidance process in the Information Systems Study Program, Faculty of Science and Technology, is currently carried out by students coming directly to the supervisor by bringing printed documents. In the meeting, the lecturer provides revision points through a consultation sheet. However, this method has limited access to the results of the guidance and also has a negative impact on the environment. To overcome this obstacle, this study proposes the development of a "Web-Based Thesis Guidance Information System" which is expected to facilitate the guidance process more efficiently and documented. This study uses an applied research type that applies web technology with the Laravel Framework to design a thesis guidance system. The development of this system was carried out using the Agile method in four iterations, with each iteration lasting two weeks, so that the total development time reached eight weeks. The development stages include planning, design, development, testing, and deployment. The results of the study indicate that the system was successfully developed well, where all functionality was tested using the blackbox method and functioned according to the specified specifications, and was able to facilitate and document the thesis guidance process.

Abstract

Maluku has several local languages, one of which is asilulu language. Where the use of asilulu language in daily communication has decreased due to many people who prioritize slang. Preservation of local languages is very important considering the rapid advancement of technology today. Therefore, it is necessary to create an application that can fulfill every user's desire for a portable book replacement’ that can be used anytime and anywhere. Dictionary application media can be a solution to introduce asilulu language to the wider community. The purpose of this research is to create a dictionary application to facilitate the learning process of asilulu regional language and help them find vocabulary in Indonesian - asilulu effectively and efficiently. In addition, word spelling errors often occur in language dictionary software, which can make it difficult for us to find information. The solution to this problem is to use the levenshtein distance algorithm to make it easier to find words in language dictionary applications. The levenshtein distance method is the method used in this research while for software development it uses the waterfall model. This application is made using mysql as a database, for tools using android studio and programming language using java. Levenshtein distance testing in this application can improve keyword searches for terms that are wrong in writing in the test this application can run smoothly. The results of this application can be a useful medium for learning, preserving and developing asilulu regional languages to be preserved as language wealth.

Abstract

Organic fertilizer is a type of fertilizer that comes from natural ingredients that contain organic materials, such as plant, animal or other organic waste. Organic fertilizer naturally contains essential nutrients for plants, such as nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium, micronutrients and beneficial organic materials. Organic fertilizers have experienced significant development in recent years. Increased awareness of the importance of sustainable and environmentally friendly agriculture has encouraged the use and development of organic fertilizers. Meanwhile, organic fertilizer can be produced through composting, fermentation or decomposition of organic materials. To be able to produce superior and quality fertilizer products, of course you must choose superior or quality product ingredients. Sources of organic material can be goat kohe, effective microorganism 4 (EM4), bamboo leaf waste, chicken manure waste, burnt husks, cocopeat, coconut fiber. This research aims to create a decision support system using the weighted product (WP) method. WP is a popular multi-criteria analysis decision and is a multi-criteria decision making method. The choice of the weighted product (WP) method is also based on its ability to provide optimal solutions in the ranking system. The choice of this method is also based on the computational complexity which is not too difficult so that the time required to produce calculations is relatively short

Abstract

An application or system is needed to distinguish handwritten characters, and it can be used to identify author-based handwritten characters. The aim of this research is so that the system created can determine whether a piece of handwriting is the work of a particular author. The creation of handwritten text can be done by capturing the image using a scanner with an image quality of 300 dpi, segmenting it using the thresholding method and contour selection from the image, combining the segmented images and processing the image from the segmentation results. The results of the convolutional autoencoder can be input into transfer learning (lazy learning) using KNN method to match with the author's handwriting. The study used 100 data sets from 20 authors, each of whom wrote five times. In the first trial, we used the dataset in handwritten sentence fragments from the title of a poem by Chairil Anwar. Tests were performed by comparing the machine learning process with and without a convolutional autoencoder. The test results with a convolutional autoencoder showed an accuracy of 89%, while the results without a convolutional autoencoder showed an accuracy of 88%.

Abstract

Currently, UPTD Tahura Ngurah Rai has information system called E-Tourism Ecotourism Ngurah Rai Information System (Ekomang) provided information about the Ngurah Rai Mangrove Forest Park. This application is used as a medium for introducing flora and fauna. However, usability testing has never been conducted on this application. Therefore, this research aims to conduct usability testing on the Ekomang system to ensure that application runs well and meets user needs. This research uses two methods such as the cognitive walkthrough and system usability scale (SUS). The evaluation of cognitive walkthrough is conducted by five UPTD Tahura employees and general public who have never used the Ekomang to identify problems and aspects such as learnability, effectiveness, and efficiency. In contrast, the system usability scale (SUS) is used to measure satisfaction aspects by collecting data from 20 users who have used the Ekomang. This usability on the Ngurah Rai Mangrove Forest Ecotourism system is expected to benefit UPTD Tahura Ngurah Rai in understanding the system’s efficiency and effectiveness levels as well as providing evaluation material for further developmentt

Abstract

Student academic performance is a key indicator of successful study program management. Detection of academic performance can help study program managers monitor and take proactive action against students who are potentially experiencing difficulties. Machine learning can be a solution to this challenge by assisting in the classification and detection of students' academic abilities. Machine learning techniques have proven to be very effective in analyzing complex data and uncovering hidden patterns that are difficult to detect by humans. This research aims to explore the implementation of machine learning algorithms in detecting students' academic performance, especially in the Mathematics Education Study Program at Nias University. With the advancement of technology, machine learning has proven to be effective in classifying data and detecting hidden patterns that traditional methods cannot identify. This research uses the Support Vector Machine (SVM) algorithm to predict student academic performance based on a dataset collected from student primary data. The dataset includes factors such as GPA, attendance, participation, and use of learning resources. The analysis results show that the SVM model used has an accuracy of 77.59%, with a bias that is more inclined to the class of students with good academic performance. The results of this study are expected to make a practical contribution in the development of more effective learning methods and personalization of academic interventions in higher education.
