Abstract

The peer tutoring method aims to provide students with greater freedom and opportunities to interact freely and reduce their perceived inadequacy towards their teachers. This is especially true in terms of reading and writing the Quran well and correctly. The research method used is qualitative with a library research approach , also known as literature study, with data analysis using content analysis. The peer tutoring method is deemed essential to improve students' ability to read and write the Quran well and correctly and foster students' enthusiasm for studying the Quran. The implementation of the peer tutoring method must go through stages, namely preparation, implementation, and evaluation stages. In implementing the peer tutoring method, there are three series of activities that must be followed: initial activities, core activities, and final or closing activities. By implementing this peer tutoring method, students become enthusiastic and motivated to continue developing their ability to read and write the Quran well and correctly.

Abstract

Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning in elementary schools often faces problems such as low student participation due to traditional teaching methods that make it difficult to access abstract materials. This study aims to develop an innovative learning medium in the form of a website-based application called "PAK RT" created using the Canva platform at SDN Pakuwon 2. Employing Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE model, this study involved 23 fourth-grade students in a limited trial. Data were collected through observation and student perception questionnaires, then analyzed using descriptive quantitative methods. The findings indicated high levels of user acceptance and satisfaction: 91.3% of students felt more motivated to participate in learning activities, and 95.7% acknowledged that the combination of text and video greatly helped them understand the material on the history of Prophet Muhammad's preaching. However, because this study did not employ pretests, posttests, control groups, or objective learning outcome measurements, the medium is categorized as feasible and promising for enhancing student interest and participation, but not empirically proven to improve learning achievement.

Abstract

This study aims to improve students’ cognitive learning outcomes in Islamic Religious Education (IRE) through the use of the Educandy interactive game. This study was motivated by low student learning outcomes caused by the dominance of conventional teaching methods that are unengaging and not fully aligned with student characteristics in the digital age. The research method employed was Classroom Action Research (CAR) using the Kemmis and McTaggart model, conducted in two cycles, encompassing the planning, implementation, observation, and reflection stages. The research subjects were 10th-grade students at SMK Al-Hidayah Cirebon during the odd semester of the 2025/2026 academic year. Data collection techniques included cognitive tests, observation of student activities, interviews, and documentation. The research results indicate that the implementation of the Educandy interactive media significantly improved students’ cognitive learning outcomes. This improvement is evidenced by an increase in the class average score from 58.4 (pre-cycle) to 71.6 (Cycle I), and finally to 81.4 in Cycle II. In line with this, the percentage of mastery in traditional learning increased from 34.3% to 51.4% in Cycle I, and reached 80.0% in Cycle II, successfully exceeding the predetermined success indicator (≥ 75). This increase was driven by the media familiarity effect, increased engagement in group learning, and a healthy competitive environment introduced by the leaderboard feature.
