Abstract

Islamic Religious Education (PAI) in elementary schools (SD) plays a crucial role in shaping students' character from an early age. One of the key values in Islam is the attitude of forgiveness, which needs to be taught through engaging learning methods. This study measures the effectiveness of the Damaikan (Peace Through Forgiveness) animated video in enhancing students' understanding and practice of forgiveness. The research method used is Design & Development (D&D) with the ADDIE model. Data was collected through questionnaires, observations, and validation sheets at SDN Cinanggerang II, sixth grade. The validation results show that the animated video received a rating of 92.5% (excellent) from media experts and 78.7% (good) from subject matter experts, indicating its feasibility as a learning medium. Student questionnaires showed a positive response, with an average score of 79.6%. In conclusion, the Damaikan animated video is effective in increasing motivation for learning PAI and helping students understand and apply Islamic values, particularly in fostering a peaceful life through forgiveness.

Abstract

This study concludes that the structured habituation method in the Qur'an memorization activity at the Darul Ulum Elementary School in Cirebon City has proven effective in developing students' discipline, motivation, and spiritual attachment to the Qur'an. This method is implemented through daily activities such as murojaah, ziyadah, and tasalsuli, supported by weekly memorization targets, daily monitoring with mutaba'ah books, and periodic evaluations. Despite facing challenges such as differences in students' memorization abilities, time constraints, and lack of family support, the school was able to overcome these challenges with an individual approach, grouping students based on ability, and active parental involvement. This study used a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collection techniques in the form of observation, interviews, and documentation. The novelty of this study lies in the systematic mapping of habituation methods that not only emphasize cognitive aspects, but also strengthening students' character and spirituality, as well as emphasizing synergy between the school, teachers, the environment, and families. This research provides an important contribution to the development of an adaptive, holistic, and sustainable tahfidz education model at the elementary madrasah level.

Abstract

This study aims to describe students' perceptions of the implementation of audio-visual media in learning Islamic jurisprudence (fiqh) prayer at MI Al-Alif Darussalam Cikarang. The background of this study is the importance of an innovative approach in Islamic jurisprudence learning, which tends to be abstract and normative, so that audio-visual media is used to improve student understanding and engagement. This study used a qualitative descriptive approach with data collection techniques in the form of observation, interviews, and documentation. The results showed that most students responded positively to the use of audio-visual media. They felt the material became easier to understand, more interesting, and more memorable. However, several obstacles were also found, such as limited facilities, technical constraints, and the need to improve teacher competency in managing media. In conclusion, audio-visual media is effective in improving the quality of Islamic jurisprudence learning if supported by adequate infrastructure and appropriate learning strategies.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the implementation of the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model in elementary school education. PBL is an approach that places students at the center of learning by emphasizing real-world problem-solving as a means to develop critical thinking skills, collaboration, and active engagement in the learning process. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study design at MIN Kota Bima, involving two teachers and 30 students from grades V. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with teachers, direct observation of learning activities, and document analysis of lesson plans (RPP) as well as student work. The findings indicate that the implementation of PBL provides significant benefits, such as enhancing students' critical thinking and collaboration skills, as well as making learning more meaningful and relevant. However, there are several challenges in implementing PBL, including limited resources, teacher readiness, and the limited time available in the curriculum. The study concludes that although PBL holds great potential to improve the quality of learning in elementary schools, further efforts are needed to prepare teachers and provide supporting facilities for the successful implementation of this model.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the importance of strengthening character education through Pancasila and Citizenship Education (PPKn) learning in elementary schools, especially in instilling Pancasila values contextually. The purpose of this study is to analyze the effectiveness of the project-based learning model in improving the understanding and internalization of Pancasila values in fourth grade students. This study uses a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design. The subjects of the study were fourth grade students who were divided into an experimental class and a control class. Data collection techniques used learning outcome tests and observation sheets, while data analysis was carried out through statistical tests to determine differences in learning outcomes between the two groups. The results showed that there was a significant increase in students' understanding and attitudes towards Pancasila values in the experimental class compared to the control class. These findings indicate that the project-based learning model is effective in supporting more meaningful and contextual PPKn learning. Thus, the application of this model is recommended as an alternative learning strategy to strengthen character education in elementary schools.

Abstract

Children's cognitive development is a fundamental aspect in the formation of thinking, understanding, and problem-solving abilities, which is greatly influenced by the family environment, particularly parental parenting styles. To date, studies of cognitive development have focused more on the context of formal education, while the role of parenting styles within the family environment has not received adequate attention. This study aims to analyze the role of parental parenting styles in supporting the cognitive development of elementary school-aged children and to identify parenting factors that contribute to optimizing children's thinking abilities. This study uses a qualitative approach with a phenomenological method to understand the experiences and practices of parenting parents in everyday life. The study was conducted at SDN 45, Bima City, involving parents of students aged 7–12 years. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentation studies. Then, data were analyzed through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing using triangulation techniques. The results show that parenting styles characterized by effective communication, cognitive stimulation, active parental involvement in children's learning activities, and consistent emotional support play an important role in improving children's attention, memory, problem-solving skills, and logical thinking. Conversely, parenting styles that lack interaction and stimulation tend to hinder children's cognitive development. This research confirms that parenting styles are the primary foundation for supporting children's cognitive development and need to be integrated into efforts to improve the quality of family-based education.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effectiveness of game-based learning in improving students' knowledge and attitudes toward Pancasila values in Pancasila Education for third-grade students at UPTD SDN Ketapang Barat 4. The study employed a classroom action research approach using the model of Stephen Kemmis and Robin McTaggart, which includes planning, action, observation, and reflection stages conducted in two cycles. The research participants consisted of 25 students. Data were collected through summative tests to measure cognitive achievement, attitude questionnaires to assess affective aspects, and observation sheets to record student participation and interaction during learning activities. The results indicate that the success criteria were not achieved in the first cycle due to limited student participation and incomplete implementation of the learning process. After improvements in the second cycle, the class average score increased from 81.12 to 83.84, and learning mastery improved from 60% to 100%. In addition, students' positive attitudes toward Pancasila values reached 85.2%–93.0%. These findings indicate that game-based learning effectively enhances student engagement, knowledge acquisition, and attitudes in Pancasila Education .
