Abstract

This study aims to improve student learning outcomes in the social studies subject matter to identify Indonesia's geographical conditions through the media of map images in grade 5 elementary school students. This research is motivated by students who are less enthusiastic in learning which causes students to be inactive in the learning process in the classroom, which sometimes can happen due to external and internal factors. So that in this case the teacher is required to design appropriate learning facilities to make students more attractive and understand what the teacher says. This research is a research and development or Research and Development (R&D). Borg and Gall. The results showed that there was an increase in student learning outcomes in the subject of social studies, identifying the geographical conditions of Indonesia based on maps through media images for grade 5 elementary school students. Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that it is important for teachers to have technological literacy to develop their skills in using various media as supporting learning so that students are able to understand the material properly and correctly so as to improve student cognitive.

Abstract

The formation of HOTS-oriented character education in elementary schools is a new breakthrough in developing student character. This study aims to shape the character of students and form higher-order thinking students related to social studies learning in SD. This study uses a HOTS-based learning development prototype model which refers to the Dick and Carry learning development model. The data collection techniques used were test and non-test techniques. The results of this study are expected to be able to contribute thoughts in social studies learning that triggers students to think at high levels so that it can show that the formation of HOTS-oriented student character education can be implemented in accordance with the target of learning achievement.

Abstract

implementation of the 2013 curriculum is an effort to improve teacher education standards to reach the national level, namely being able to develop students as a whole in terms of knowledge, attitudes and skills. In the RPP that has been made, it is about analyzing forms of human interaction with the environment and their effects on the social, cultural, and economic development of the Indonesian people which are contained in theme 3, grade 5 SD. This research is a research and development or Research and Development (R&D). Borg and Gall. This study aims to develop an existing lesson plan in which there is learning that integrates HOTS, PPK, literacy, and 4C, and students are able to describe forms of human interaction.

Abstract

This research is motivated by of their problems in elementary school social strudies is the lck of demand by strudents. There are many factors that make strudent do not much like learning IPS because IPS that since the mterial contains more social topics that are rote, the methode or media is very helpful ketercapaiannyya a lesson. Thus the researchers to find out the influence of the of the media snake leader in improving learning outcomes of student in elementary school social strudies about the kindoms of Hindu-Buddhist in Indonesia. the method use in this research inquasi-experimental design with nonequivalent control grup. Instrumen use is the achievement test with multiple choice. From processing and data analysis conducted on differences in student learning outcomes using conventional learning model (classroom control) with the use of media snake leader (class experiment) proved there is a differencein the acquisition value of the posstest and the normal gain whice the class that use the conventional model in the category hight with a mean value of Ngain less effective. Ehereas the experimental class acquisitiom posttest value are at very hight category with a mean value of Ngain quite effective. It can be concluded on the use of media snake leader in SD Negeri 1 Pardawarasheavily influence the social studies students.

Abstract

Geographical information system is a technology for managing, analyzing and disseminating geographic information related to spatial layout and related information. With regard to natural resources, geographic information will contain the location of an area, and information about natural resources contained in the area. Changes that occur at any time in nature related to adding or subtracting data can be done up to date without having to create new ones. In building a geographic information system of Indonesia's natural resources, Indonesia uses Mapserver as a mapping server and PHP script as a web programming language in building web pages. The research was conducted in four stages, namely the Preparation, Design, Implementation, and Trial stages. The result of this research is that geographic information system that displays digital maps can be stored in the form of shape files that can be created using a desktop-based information system software, namely ArcView. In addition, the geographic information system of natural resources can be used as a source of information regarding the distribution of Indonesia's natural resources which can be accessed by the wider community both from within and outside the country.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is (1) Knowing the planning of tutoring based on higher order thinking skills (HOTS) in SD Negeri Legundi, (2) Knowing the implementation of tutoring based on higher order thinking skills (HOTS) in SD Negeri Legundi. HOTS-based learning can hone students' thinking skills to be critical, creative, and able to solve problems. This study uses a qualitative method. The time of this research is from November to January 2021, located at SD Negeri Legundi. The data collected is qualitative data consisting of primary data in the form of semi-structured interviews and non-participatory observations, and secondary data using documentation. The researcher is the main instrument with the tools of interview, observation and documentation. The validity of the data used technical triangulation. The results showed that (1) HOTS-based learning planning was seen in the learning objectives; learning materials; learning Media; tutoring methods; learning evaluation, (2) Implementation of HOTS learning seen from the learning objectives containing cognitive levels C4, C5, and C6; learning material is delivered with problems and is universal; learning media contains material that encourages students' thinking skills; The learning method used is in the form of cooperative learning and there are activities to analyze, evaluate, and create; learning evaluation uses questions that have a stimulus and are open in the realm of analyzing, evaluating or creating.

Abstract

This study aims to develop an Implementation Plan for Social Science Learning in Elementary Schools on the material of the Proclamation of Indonesian Independence which integrates creative thinking skills, Strengthening Character Education, Literacy, and High-Level Thinking in students. The method used in this research is a type of research and development (R&D) which is a research method used to research so as to produce new products and then to test the effectiveness of these products. The results of this study are the integration of creative, critical thinking, character strengthening, reading activities (literacy), and conducting assessments that are carried out with high-order thinking oriented questions. That way the learning implementation process can be expected to be student-centered to foster character and strong behavior towards students.

Abstract

The problem in the classroom is the low learning outcomes of students social studies learning. Where to solve this problem researchers apply approach with image media so that it is expected to improve results learning fourth grade students of SD Sejahtera Way Kandis in social studies learning. Method The research used is classroom action research with a groove action planning, action, observation and reflection. Subject The research was the fourth grade students of SD Sejahtera Way Kandis. The material taught in the first cycle is various ethnic groups, and the second cycle is cultural diversity. Data collection was carried out in each cycle. The data collected in the form of qualitative data and quantitative data. Data collected in three ways, namely tests, observations, interviews. The results obtained on cycle I, namely from 20 students 14 students experienced completeness of learning with the percentage of classical completeness 70% and the percentage of classical absorption 77.75%, This result is still in the sufficient category so that there are still shortcomings that must be fixed. The results obtained in cycle II experienced increase, all students experience learning completeness, with a percentage 100% classical complete and 86% classical absorption. Average value teacher activity in cycle I is still in good category and cycle II is very good, and the average value of student activity in cycle I is sufficient and cycle II is located in either category. Based on predetermined indicators, it can be concluded that by using a group learning model student mastery of the material continues to increase so that it has an impact on increase in social studies learning outcomes for fourth grade students of SD Sejahtera Way Kandis.

Abstract

Based on preliminary study conducted at SDN 1 Srengsem, generally the students are less understanding of learning materials. This is due to the inability of teachers in using learning media, thus causing low student learning outcomes. With this researcher give solution to solve the problem that is by developing media "Card Guess Image". By using the media "Card Guess Image" this student learning outcomes can increase. The Media "Card Guess Image" is in principle a learning medium that uses images and is integrated into quartet games with little change in terms of game rules. This media is inspired by the quartet game that has become one of the favorite games by elementary school children. The purpose of this research is to know whether the influence of media "Card Guess Image" to student learning outcomes and to know the difference of student learning outcomes between control classes in the learning process without using media "Card Guess Image" and experiment class using media "Card Guess Image ". In this study, researchers used a quantitative approach with experimental research methods. Experimental design used is Quasy Experimental Design. The sample used is a sample of the control class and the experimental class. The findings obtained by analyzing and processing the data using SPSS 16.0 states that there is a significant increase seen from the average experiment class is greater than the control class. The average increase of experiment class value is from 52,75 to 81,25, while control class from 54,75 to 66,50, and from effectiveness of learning process when seen from average Normal Gain experiment class higher than control class. The average value of Normal Gain for the experimental class is 0.64 with the category is quite effective, while the average value of Normal Gain for the control class is 0.28 with the category is not effective. So it can be concluded that from this study there are differences in student learning outcomes between control classes and experimental class.
