Abstract

This study aims to calculate the production potential of local feed material sources and the carrying capacity of ruminant livestock in Tanggamus Regency. The data source comes from the primary data and secondary data, then the collected data is analyzed descriptively. From the analysis it can be seen that forage feed material derived from grasses, agricultural products and plantations along with the waste that can be used for ruminant animal feed reaches 665,421.30 tons of dry matter per year. While from the available amount of feed, only 289,533.41 ton of dry material is used to fulfill feed requirement from 27,034.99 animal units, so the increasing capacity of ruminant livestock population can still be developed again up to 291,691.53 animal units, there is still the chance of adding as many as 264,656.54 animal units. Abstract

The aim of this study was to determine the effect of feed media on feed intake, average daily gain, and feed conversion ratio. The research method used in this study is the experimental method, which is the type of research used to find the effect of certain treatment against others in controlled conditions. This research was conducted on poultry breeding farm at Company Farm. The division was located in Pembagian village, Tanjung Bintang Subdistrict, South Lampung Regency. This study was carried out for 18 days from broiler aged 0 to 18 days. Method of data collection used in this research using instrument that is observation sheet to get feed intake, average daily gain (ADG), and total weight. The data obtained were analyzed by using independent sample t-test test with SPSS version 17.00 software. The result showed that feed media used had a significant effect on feed conversion, but no significant effect on feed intake and average daily gain (ADG). The feed conversion in broiler maintained with Baby Chick Feeder (BCF) was better than Chick Feeder Tray (CFT). Feed intake and average daily gain (ADG) of broiler chickens maintained with Baby Chick Feeder (BCF) was similar to feed intake and average daily gain (ADG) of broiler maintained with Chick Feeder Tray (CFT). Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of feeding frequency on feed intake, average daily gain (ADG) and Feed Conversion Ratio (FCR) in broiler. The research method used in this study is the experimental method, which is the type of research used to find the effect of certain treatment against others in controlled conditions. This research was conducted on poultry breeding farm at Company Farm. Method of data collection used in this research using instrument that is observation sheet to get feed intake, average daily gain, and FCR. The data obtained were analyzed by using independent sample t-test test with SPSS version 17. 00 software. The feeding method did not affect feed intake, ADG and FCR. The average intake of chicken feed maintained by using the method of feeding 2 times was 59.33 g lower than using the method of feeding 3 times, namely 59.41 g. The ADG by feeding method 2 times was 45.29 g, while by feeding method 3 times was 46,21 g. The value of FCR method of feeding 3 times is 1,286, meaning that to produce 1 kg of meat requires 1,286 kg of feed. While the value of chicken FCR on feeding method 2 times is 1,311, that means to produce 1 kg of meat requires as much as 1,311 kg of feed. Abstract

Super Java chicken is a local Indonesian chicken whose life is closely related to the community. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of bioavailability of natural sugar in drinking water on blood sugar levels, and performance on super stratum Javanese chickens. This study was conducted using 100 chickens divided into 4 treatments and examined for 4 days. The treatment applied is T0: administration of T1 mineral water: giving brown sugar drinking water (10%) T2: giving sugar cane water (4.5%) T3: giving pure honey drinking water (7.2%). The parameters observed were ration, blood sugar, body weight, intestinal length and liver weight. Data were tested by Duncan test, to find out the differences between treatments. The real effect on feed consumption shows that the treatment of T1 with the provision of brown sugar drinking water produces the highest feed consumption of 43.10 g / head. The high feed consumption in T1 correlates with high body weight growth. The chicken body weight in the study was the highest, namely in the treatment of 7.2% pure honey drinking water with body weight 13.88 g / head. Blood sampling is done 3 times, namely at 05.00, 07.00, 09.00. The highest average blood sugar level is T1 (298,47). The results showed that the administration of natural sugar water in the super chicken Java starter phase did not significantly affect intestinal length and liver weight. The conclusion of this study is that the provision of brown sugar is more effective than the administration of other natural sugars.
