The consumption of water per capita of the majority of respondents, 61%, was less than 30 liters against WHO standards. Then, 59% of respondents cover a distance of between 1-2 km to get access to their water supply. Findings further revealed that cooking use of borehole water was 38% against drinking that is 24%. Additionally, some water-borne diseases like typhoid fever and cholera were reported in some cases. Limitation: The issue at hand virtually affects the whole of the metropolis but eight researchers could not cover all sections because of the limitation of time. Research methodology: The present study is applied in terms of purpose and is among the descriptive studies of correlation type. The statistical population includes all high school students in Zahak city, whose number in the academic year 2021-2022 is 1324 people.Using Morgan table and Cochran's formula, 297 students were selected by statistical random sampling as a statistical sample. To prevent statistical sample loss and better adequacy, a sample of 320 questionnaires was distributed by multi-stage random cluster sampling method. Results: The results of the analysis showed that there is a positive and significant relationship between academic motivation and students' academic enthusiasm. The intensity of this relationship is very strong and academic motivation has the power to predict academic enthusiasm. There is no significant relationship between school culture and academic motivation and school culture does not have the power to predict academic motivation. Limitations: What should be considered by school parents is to pay attention to creating a correct and flexible culture in school, because each student spends more than half of his time in school and is exposed to school relationships and culture, and these relationships over time. Contribution: Among the limitations of the research are the lack of sufficient scientific content around the research variables, the lack of cooperation of some schools in the implementation of the questionnaire and the limitation in the generalizability of the results of this research.

Abstract

Purpose: This study investigates the interrelationship among COVID-19 anxiety, mindfulness, COVID-19 information avoidance, preventive behavior, and academic performance. Research methodology: The study assessed protective factors as mediators of COVID-19 anxiety and academic performance using WarpPLS. The study participants were K-12 Filipino students from a secondary school in Cagayan, Philippines, identified through convenience sampling. Results: COVID-19 anxiety, mindfulness, information avoidance, and preventive behavior were found to be negatively correlated. Preventive behavior is associated with improved academic performance. Conversely, there was a negative correlation between mindfulness, COVID-19 information avoidance, and academic performance. The association between COVID-19 anxiety and academic achievement is only mediated by mindfulness and preventive behavior. Limitations: Preventive factors that may affect COVID-19 anxiety and academic achievement are only considered. Also, the participants are limited to a secondary school in Cagayan, Philippines. Contribution: With the pandemic having a substantial influence on the municipality, the study would be helpful to manage and control the effect of the outbreak on the academic performance of the learners.

Abstract

Purpose: This paper aims to investigate the relationship between education and teenage pregnancy, and its grave consequences on vulnerable teenagers. Methodology: A systematic random sampling method was used to select a sample of two hundred young teenagers from the eight villages that make up the Ihuokpara community. Frequency tables and pie charts were used for the analysis and interpretation of data, while chi-square (x2) was used in testing the hypothesis. Results: The findings revealed that teenage pregnancies occur as a result of a lack of education (Ignorance) about sexuality and other reproductive health-related issues. However, the findings also revealed that there is a water-tight relationship existing between education and the tide of teen pregnancy so that the rate of awareness of sexuality determines the rate of teenage pregnancy. Limitations: This study only examines some factors such as the low level of education (ignorance) about sexuality, human reproduction, sexual health, and other reproductive health-related issues that may cause teenage pregnancy in Ihuokpara. The future researcher may find other factors that are not included in this study. Contribution: This study hopefully can give some things that are important for the individual, family, and communities to lend their support to others in their articulated efforts toward the teenage pregnancy cases.
