Abstract

This study aims to develop an appropriate animated video form for the Bunpo Shochukyu course chapters 41-43 at the Japanese Language Education Study Program UNDIKSHA and analyze the feasibility level of the animated video being developed. The model used is the Multimedia Development Life Cycle (MDLC) which was introduced by Luther Sutopo and modified by Binanto (2010). The development of this learning video was carried out based on the results of semi-structured interviews by supporting lecturer 1 and supporting lecturer 2 to find out the obstacles to the Bunpo Shochukyu course in the UNDIKSHA Japanese Language Education Study Program. The distribution of questionnaires to students was also carried out to determine the readiness, strengths and weaknesses of the learning media used and the distribution of a second questionnaire to determine the characteristics of the desired learning media. The results of this study are 3 animation-based shochukyu bunpo learning videos which are equipped with backsound and have passed the feasibility test stage by alpha test and beta test. The first assessment by media experts obtained an average of 57 and the assessment by material experts obtained an average of 53. The second assessment by media experts obtained an average of 59 and the assessment by material obtained an average of 52. The beta test was carried out by 6 students and obtained an average of 98.5. The results of the assessment on the alpha test and beta test stated that the learning video developed was feasible to use.

Abstract

In general, there are three types of languages studied in Indonesia, namely regional languages, Indonesian and foreign languages. One of the foreign languages studied is Japanese. In learning Japanese, the lack of mastery of goi is a common obstacle for students. SMAN 1 Tilatang Kamang is one of the schools that has Japanese language lessons. Where Japanese is used as one of the cross-interest lessons. From the results of observations and interviews that have been conducted with subject teachers and students, information is obtained that the ability of class XII students at SMAN 1 Tilatang Kamang in the aspect of mastery of goi is still lacking. One of the reasons is the lack of student interest in learning goi, and the goi that has been studied before has been forgotten. Therefore, certain techniques are needed to increase student interest and make it easier for students to learn goi. The use of the Pictionary game modification is possible to overcome this. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of the Pictionary game modification on goi mastery in class XII across Japanese language interests at SMA Negeri 1 Tilatang Kamang. This research is a quantitative research type of experiment with a posttest only control group design. The data was taken from the total research sample for class XII IPA 2 and class XII IPS 3 totaling 68 people. Based on the results of the t-test, it was concluded that the alternative hypothesis (H1) was accepted at a significant level of 5% because tcount>ttable (3.46>2.00), which means that the mastery of goi in the experimental class was much different from the control class. In other words, the use of the Pictionary game modification is effective against goi mastery.

Abstract

Keigo is a type of speech level that is often used by the Japanese business people, as well as in the world of tourism in Bali.  One of them is the use of keigo in marketing through website media. The data sources used are the Ayana Resort Bali website and Four Seasons Resort Bali At Jimbaran Bay  website. This study focuses on the function of the keigo speech level found on the two accommodation websites.  Data collection methods and techniques used in this study are observation methods followed by note-taking techniques, listening techniques and purvosive sampling.  Data analysis methods and techniques used are descriptive qualitative methods. While the methods and techniques of data analysis presentation using informal methods. Based on the results of the study, it was found function the level speech keigo. The use of kenjougo to express something in a condescending way to show respect for website readers. The use of teineigo  is used to make the content of the reading more polite. The function of the use of speech level markers on the two websites is to express honor, state distance, state dignity and also be found to state marketing language. The function states the marketing language found, namely, providing information, persuading, reminding and providing added value.

Abstract

The background of this research is there are still many student errors in writing hiragana letters, especially youon hiragana and there has been no specific assessment of your hiragana quantitatively at SMAN 12 Padang. The purpose of this study was to describe the writing of hiragana youon in class X SMAN 12 Padang. The type of research used in this research is quantitative method with descriptive data presentation type. The population in this study were students of class X SMA Negeri 12 Padang totaling 108 students. The sample in this study were students of class X SMA N 12 Padang totaling 30 people. The data of this research is the test scores of students' writing mastery of hiragana youon. Based on the results of research that can be carried out, it can be ascertained that your mastery of hiragana is generally in the "adequate" qualification with an average of 56.6.

Abstract

Untuk meningkatkan proses efisiensi dan efektifitas hasil belajar, perlu diperhatikan gaya belajar siswa. Namun, tidak semua pihak yang terkait dengan pembelajaran memperhatikan hal tersebut. Padahal, secara teoritis gaya belajar berpengaruh terhadap hasil belajar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh gaya belajar terhadap hasil belajar bahasa Jepang siswa di SMAN 6 Padang. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kuantitatif Quasi Experimental Design dengan desain ex post facto. Populasi penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X SMAN 6 Padang yang berjumlah 360 siswa yang terdiri dari X IPA 1, X IPA 2, X IPA 3, X IPA 4, X IPA 5, X IPS 1, X IPS 2, X IPS 3, X IPS4, IPSX5.Data sampel diambil dari seluruh kelas X IPA yang terdiri dari 5 siswa kelas sebanyak 180 orang dengan teknik Non Probability Sampling dengan metode Purposive Sampling. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai sig. 0,015 < 0,05 sehingga dapat diartikan bahwa H0 ditolak dan H1 diterima. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut dapat diartikan bahwa gaya belajar berpengaruh terhadap hasil belajar siswa kelas X IPA SMAN 6 Padang tahun ajaran 2022/2023, dimana dari ketiga gaya belajar tersebut yang paling berpengaruh adalah gaya belajar auditorial, kemudian dilanjutkan dengan gaya belajar visual kemudian gaya belajar kinestetik.

Abstract

Omoiyari hyougen is an expression of caution in speaking and paying attention to the interlocutor. However, there are still many people, especially Japanese language learners in Indonesia who do not really understand the importance of the purpose of omoiyari hyougen when talking with other speakers, especially with Japanese citizens. This study aims to describe the purpose of using omoiyari hyougen in the Coquelicot-Zaka Kara anime. This type of research is qualitative research with descriptive analysis method and data collection using listening technique, followed by free engagement speaking technique and note taking technique. The data of this research is utterances containing omoiyari hyougen and the data source used is the film Coquelicot-Zaka Kara. From the results of the study, it was found that there were 20 data of omoiyari hyougen which were divided into 5 objectives, namely: the goal of maintaining consensus was 1 data, optimizing the comfort of others as much as 6 data, social reciprocity as much as 11 data, intuitive communication as much as 1 data, and feelings of guilt as much as 1 data.

Abstract

The goals of this study were to investigate how employing the Crossword Puzzle media-assisted group work strategy affected the Japanese language abilities and motivation of class XI students at SMAN 1 Nusa Penida and to gauge the reactions of the students after they had used the approach. Quantitative research using a Quasi Experimental Design was employed for this study. 198 students from SMAN 1 Nusa Penida's 11th grade comprised the sample for this research. Thirty students from Class XI IBB 1 served as the study's experimental group, while another 30 students from Class XI IBB 2 served as the study's control group. Various forms of testing and surveying were employed to glean the necessary information. The results demonstrated that the experimental class, which was assigned the crossword puzzle media-assisted group work method, outperformed the control class in terms of Japanese language proficiency and motivation. The Sig. (2-Tailed) posttest result of 0.000 < 0.05 from the Independent Sample T-Test hypothesis test provides supporting evidence for this. According on the survey data, pupils who used the Crossword Puzzle medium gave an overall favorable answer of 93.6% in the Strongly Agree/Good/Satisfied/Like category. As a result, we may infer that the method of group work aided by the Crossword Puzzle medium can have a beneficial effect on the development of students' Japanese language competence and motivation.

Abstract

Gairaigo is a type of Japanese vocabulary that generally comes from European countries. Gairaigo is used in the tourism sector because in Japanese there is no appropriate equivalent to describe terms in the world of tourism and hospitality that can explain precisely and facilitate the delivery of information. The data source used is The Mulia website. This study aims to describe the origin of the language of gairaigo used in The Mulia website. The data collection technique used in this research is the listen and note method. Data analysis methods and techniques used in this study were qualitative with descriptive methods, with informal data presentation. The results of this study indicate that 256 data were found gairaigo data, with 245 data from English, 7 data from French, 1 data from Dutch, 1 data from German, 1 data from Spanish, and origin of the Finnish language as much as 1 data. The data used in this study are 11 data with language origins from France, the Netherlands, Germany, Spain, and Finland.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the students' difficulties in understanding the use of kara and node which have the same meaning but have different meanings in Japanese sentences. The purpose of this study is to determine the ability to use kara and node to express cause and effect in a Japanese sentence. This type of research is quantitative research with descriptive methods. The population in this study was students in the fifth semester of the 2020 entry year Japanese Language Education Study Program, UNP. Thesample in this study were 30 students who were determined using a random sampling technique.The data in this study are the results of kara andnode tests. Based on the research results, it is known that the ability to use kara and nodes to express cause and effect in a Japanese sentence is generally known to have the qualification of 'sufficient' with an average score of 56.6. Theindicators are able to determine the correct use ofkara and nodesin Japanese sentences. With the highest value of kara and node in a sentence is 90, the lowest value is 30.

Abstract

Sonkeigo and kenjougo are types of respectful language (keigo). This study aimed at describing the various forms of sonkeigo and kenjougo in Drama Ouroboros: Kono Ai Koso Seigi. Indicators of the types sonkeigo and kenjougo is based on the theory of Sudjianto and Dahidi. This study was a qualitative research with uses a qualitative descriptive approach. The data in this study using sentences that containing sonkeigo and kenjougo and the data source was a drama Ouroboros: Kono Ai Koso, Seigi. Data collection using the method of simak bebas libat cakap (SBLC) and notes. In data analysis using the Miles and Huberman models; data reduction, data display, and verification/conclusions. The result of this study were; 54 words of sonkeigo and 47 words of kenjougo.
