Abstract

YMMI is a manufacturing company engaged in the manufacture of acoustic and electric guitars. In the production flow, the average material handling distance in the Acoustic Guitar department (16,1m) is greater than that of Electric Guitar (12.7m), this causes a difference in the material handling cost of the Acoustic Guitar and Electric Guitar departments, where  the material handling cost  of the Acoustic Guitar department  is Rp. 495.334, and Electric Guitar amounting to Rp. 350.918. The distance shift, especially in the Top Coating – Finishing workstation with a distance of 44.6m and SR Top Coating – Finishing with a distance of 48.3m, makes the high cost  of material handling in the Acoustic Guitar department. The results of the Graph Based Method obtained the calculation of OMH/Day of Rp. 431.622, and the proposal of  Blocplan Software  of Rp. 373.085.  The minimum material movement distance was chosen, namely the Blocplan Software layout  proposal, with a percentage reduction in the total displacement distance of 20% calculated using the Rectilinear method calculation, as well as a reduction  in material handling costs  by 25%.

Abstract

This research discusses the Caliper Disc Brake Production Process at PT. AOP is a company that operates in the manufacturing sector, especially in the process of making front and rear brakes for cars and motorbikes. The problem that occurs in this company is that there is a high potential for work accidents to occur. in the Caliper Disc Brake production process at PT. AOP. Therefore, this research aims to minimize the potential for work accidents and provide suggestions for correct and safe K3 risk control in the manufacture of front and rear brakes for cars and motorbikes. The method used in this research is The Structured What-if Analysis (SWIFT). This method begins by identifying potential hazards, providing an assessment of the level of risk. Based on the results of the research, the results of the risk assessment resulted in a score of 9, namely medium priority/significant risk. There are 4 types of risks involved in making front and rear brakes for cars and motorbikes, namely scratches, tears, pinching, and blisters. Proposed improvements to K3 risks begin with providing warning signs in the use of PPE, creating safe work procedures, monitoring performance evaluations of K3 regulations, providing PPE equipment

Abstract

This research aims to determine the partial and simultaneous influence of product quality and price variables on purchasing decisions for iron pallet products at PT. Shaka Kreasi Mandiri. All consumers of PT. Shaka Kreasi Mandiri is the population in this research. Purposive sampling is the sampling technique used in this research. In carrying out the test using SPSS 29 and the analysis process used in this research consists of several stages including validity and reliability testing, classical assumption testing, multiple linear regression analysis, and hypothesis testing with the T test, F test, and coefficient of determination. (R2). The results of the research that has been carried out show that there is a positive and significant relationship between product quality and purchasing decisions. Where the calculated t value is (3.031 > 1.659). Price and purchasing decisions have a positive and significant influence. Where the calculated t value > t table (5.318 > 1.659). The influence of product quality and price on purchasing decisions simultaneously has a calculated f value > f table (28.927 > 3.08). So the R-Square value is 35.5%. Thus, 35.5% of purchasing decisions are driven by product quality and price variables, while the rest are influenced by variables not included in the research

Abstract

This research aims to reduce overproduction of D26A LHD BV HVAC parts at PT. XYZ by implementing the Kanban system using the Just In Time (JIT) method. Overproduction is a significant problem that causes the buildup of goods in warehouses and increases storage. By implementing the Kanban system, it is hoped that production can be controlled according to actual demand, thereby reducing waste. The results of research in July showed that after implementing the kanban system, overproduction was reduced drastically by 99.38%, from 814 units to only 5 units on July 31 2023. In addition, production time efficiency also increased significantly. In July 2023, efficiency increases from 9.77% to 81.68%. However, implementing this system is not without challenges, including the need for overtime on some dates to adjust production flow. The need for overtime occurs on July 13 2023 for 1.19 hours per day and July 17 – 19 2023 for 2.76 hours. This research concludes that the Kanban system is effective in reducing overproduction and increasing production efficiency at PT. XYZ. However, to achieve optimal implementation, regular evaluation, employee training, system adjustments based on feedback, and better overtime management are needed. With these steps, PT. XYZ can further optimize the implementation of the kanban system, increasing operational efficiency and reducing overall production costs
