Abstract

Diabetes mellitus is an increase in blood sugar levels accompanied by impaired metabolism of carbohydrates, lipids, and proteins as a result of insufficient insulin function. In 2021 the number of deaths due to diabetes mellitus in Indonesia reached 236,711 people, this is ranked sixth in the world and ranked first in Southeast Asia. Also in Indonesia, this disease increased by 8.5% in 2014 in people over 18 years of age. Many factors influence this disease, including age, gender, as well as the doctor's diagnosis of congenital diseases. The increasing number of cases of death from diabetes mellitus every year causes insurance companies to anticipate the situation, including calculating appropriate claim reserves. This paper aims to calculate the prediction of claims that can be generated using the variable limits of age, gender, and doctor's diagnosis of other congenital diseases by doing classification which carried out using the K-Modes clustering and the Heuristic Method. After classifying the data, we proceed with calculating claim predictions using Random Forest, Naïve Bayes, and Support Vector Machine algorithms. The results of this study indicate that the best model predictions are obtained using the Naive Bayes algorithm, while the best classification group uses the Heuristic model. This research will obtain the best accuracy if balanced with a large amount of data and more diverse variables. The results of this study are expected to be a guideline for insurance companies in determining the estimated amount of claims that may occur.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the teacher's role in increasing students' learning interest in class V at SDN Kalideres 06 Pagi. This research uses a type of qualitative research with a descriptive approach. Data collection techniques carried out in this study were by means of observation, interviews, documentation and questionnaires. The data sources in this study were class V teachers and fifth grade students at SDN Kalideres 06 Pagi. Data analysis techniques use the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions/verification. Based on the results of the study, what was analyzed was the role of the teacher, namely as a class manager, as a motivator, and as a facilitator. In the role of the teacher to determine student learning interest by looking at several indicators including (feelings of pleasure, student interest, student attention, and student involvement). Based on the results of the study it can be concluded that the teacher's role in increasing students' learning interest in class V at SDN Kalideres 06 Pagi is in the good category. The role of the teacher given to students to increase interest in learning is by creating a conducive learning climate, arranging classroom study rooms, managing the interaction of teaching and learning activities in class, using various methods, creating competition or competition between students individually and in groups, giving value to students, holding tests, announcing learning outcomes at the end of each lesson, giving (prizes, praise, and punishments), as well as providing learning tools in the form of (RPP, syllabus and teaching materials), and providing facilities to students fairly.

Abstract

This research was conducted at Hasan Sadikin Hospital by taking histopathological examination data from 2015 to 2018. There were 24 patients with distribution, 11 male patients and 13 female patients. Synovial sarcoma in the upper extremities was 9 patients and 15 patients in the lower extremities. Synovial sarcoma type is biphasic in 10 patients and monophasic in 14 patients. Reported male, 25 years with synovial sarcoma on the right shoulder. Physical examination of the patient revealed a lump with scar tissue with a soft tissue mass palpable with a size of 10x8x8cm, flat surface, springy consistency without pain. The patient underwent radiotherapy with a total of 60 gray radiation. The patient underwent wide excision under general anesthesia with the result of a tumor mass-free margin from postoperative histopathological examination. Patients are routinely controlled every 3 to 6 months to see any recurrences and metastases. Cases of synovial sarcoma are quite rare cases, a common primary soft tissue malignancy, often occurring in adolescents and young adults with the majority aged 15-40 years.

Abstract

This research is motivated by advances in science and technology which results in a very high level of competition between companies. The purpose of this research is to find out how much influence capital, labor and production have on increasing income in the home furniture industry at UD Meubel Jati Makmur, Trawasan Village Sumobito District, Jombang Regency. This study uses a type of quantitative research. The population in this study is data on financial statements of capital, labor, production and income in the home industry of UD Meubel Jati Makmur, Trawasan Village, Sumobito District, Jombang Regency. The sample in this study is 36 with time series data. Processing and analysis of data is done using SPSS. The results of this study indicate that: (1) there is no effect of capital on the level of income in the home industry of UD Meubel Jati Makmur, Trawasan Village, Sumobito District, Jombang Regency, (2) there is an influence of labor on the level of income in the home industry of UD Meubel Jati Makmur, Trawasan Village Sumobito District, Jombang Regency, (3) there is no effect of production on income levels in the UD Meubel Jati Makmur home industry, Trawasan Village, Sumobito District, Jombang Regency.

Abstract

The Amir Hamzah Mosque is a mosque located in the Taman Ismail Marzuki complex which was inaugurated by Ali Sadikin on January 7, 1977. The mosque was named Amir Hamzah in memory of an Indonesian writer who was proclaimed a national hero. The renovation of the Amir Hamzah Mosque had been planned for a long time due to the apprehensive condition of the building and the narrow land. To change the shape of an old building into a new one, the quality of natural lighting is needed at the Amir Hamzah Mosque to be able to carry out the functions that take place in the building. The study of natural light at the Amir Hamzah Mosque aims to find out how much the aperture affects the quality of natural light. The choice of location for this study was based on the design of the Amir Hamzah Mosque which has many openings in its facade, so it is interesting to study how large the building allows natural light to enter the space. Natural lighting is influenced by several variables, namely the design of window openings, the orientation of window openings, the area and number of openings, and the glass material. The research method used in this research is descriptive research method, both qualitative and quantitative. From the results of the analysis it was concluded that the design and orientation of window openings at the Amir Hamzah Mosque still experienced a deficit in terms of natural lighting.

Abstract

The survey was conducted by the Directorate General of Population and Resident Registration, which is involved in public services, specifically giving identity for Indonesian citizens. The survey was conducted with the aim of analyzing good governance related to risk management in the General Directorate of Population and Civil Registry. This study was carried out with the aim of analyzing risk management in the implementation of good governance in the General Directorate of Professional Civil Registry. Governments operating in the service sector and applying the principles of good governance deliver their services honestly, effectively, efficiently and free from corruption. Risk management plays an important role in minimizing the risk of impeding the provision of services in accordance with the principles of good governance. These barriers must be measured and managed in order to achieve the strategic objectives of the organization, and thus must be mitigated to minimize the opportunity and impact of the resulting risks. Based on the results of studies using SWOT analysis and risk matrices, independence of principle requires risk mitigation recommendations. The risk mitigation done to address the risks is to work with the experts and academics of the team to draft the Home Secretary Regulations or related Regulations to achieve good governance. And the Directorate General of Professional and Civil Affairs is committed to maximizing the use of call centers, which act as whistleblower systems, to illegal livy practices in employment services.

Abstract

This research aims to identify factors from product quality, promotion, and value received to McDonalds customer satisfaction at Shopee Food. The type of data used is primary data. Primary data is data obtained from a research subject using measuring instruments or data collection tools as a direct source of information about the subject. The data for this study were obtained by distributing questionnaires to 150 respondents aged 16 to 35 years and analyzed using the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS). The results of this research analysis show that there is a positive and significant influence between product quality on customer satisfaction, there is a positive and significant influence between promotion on customer satisfaction. There is a positive and significant influence between the value received on customer satisfaction and there is also a simultaneous influence between product quality, promotion, and value received on customer satisfaction. Based on the factors that influence customer satisfaction, the researchers studied are still broad and numerous. For this reason, researchers suggest looking for other variables that can affect customer satisfaction.

Abstract

The church as a non-profit organization must be able to maintain its reputation to ensure the support of the parties in the sustainability of the organization by applying the principles of good corporate governance. To maintain its reputation, the church must be able to manage its reputation risk using a reputation risk management approach. Stakeholder theory approach to identify stakeholders and their expectations of organizational management. This study aims to observe the BNKP Jemaat Kota Padang Church in implementing the principles of good corporate governance and reputation risk management. The method used is descriptive qualitative method. The results of the study show that the BNKP Jemaat Kota Padang Church applies the principles of organizational governance through the rules of Church Administration and its risk management controls are carried out with various policies but do not have a well-developed risk management system or have a risk register.

Abstract

This research aimed to describe the employof literacy work station able to enhance the students’ reading comprehension. This Classroom Action Research was conducted at the first-grade students of SMPN 2 Praya with 26 students consist of 14 boys and 12 girls. This Research focused on the students’ learning on reading comprehension. This research consists of one cycle; each cycle consists of planning, action, observation, and reflection. The data gathering used written test, observation sheet, and questionnaires and analyzed the data are using qualitative and quantitative approach. After one cycle were conducted it could be seen from the mean score of students’ pre test (61, 3) with the precentage was15% and the mean score of students’post-test (82,1) with the percentage was 88%. The result of the students’ achievement with passing scores in test 1 were 50% (poor) and test 2 were 88% (very good) indicating the target of 75 of the minimum criterion has been achieved. Based on the result of the study, it can be concluded that the employ of literacy work station can enhance the students reading comprehension at the first grade of SMPN 2 Praya in Academic Year 2022/2023

Abstract

The aim of this study was to identify and analyze the effect of multiple roles and emotional exhaustion on organizational commitment at the Bolly department store in Bima so that they can provide input to the leaders at the Bolly department store in Bima. This research is a quantitative research and the type of research is associative with the population in this study being all married female employees, so the sampling technique is a saturated sample of 33 respondents while the data collection technique uses observation, interviews, literature and questionnaires, with reference to the scale Likert 5 points were then distributed to 33 respondents with the status of female permanent employees who are already married at the Bolly Department Store in Bima. The analytical method used in this study is multiple linear regression and then analyzed with SPSS version 20 for windows. The results of this study are: 1) There is no significant effect of multiple roles on organizational commitment at the Bolly Department Store in Bima. 2) There is a significant effect of Emotional Exhaustion on Organizational Commitment at the Bolly Department Store in Bima. 3). There is a significant effect of Dual Roles and Emotional Exhaustion on Organizational Commitment at the Bolly Department Store in Bima.
