Abstract

The purpose of this research is to find the teaching method contained in Deuteronomy 6:4-9 that can reach all realms to achieve early childhood spiritual development. With qualitative methods and analysis with a literature approach which then uses descriptive and analytical methods on the texts in the Bible, it can be found that early age is the golden age in which it is very easy to instill teaching for them. In Deuteronomy 6:4-9 it is found that several methods can reach 3 domains, namely the cognitive realm by teaching repeatedly, affective by always paying attention, namely by placing in the heart and soul, and the psychomotor realm by communicating with the child at all times, and marker method for systematic learning. The implementation of these three methods is very effective in the development of early childhood spirituality because it involves cognitive, affective, and psychomotor.

Abstract

The urgency of this study aims to explain the actualization of Christian religious education which currently seems not to be going in rhythm with various expectations. This condition occurs because of the rapid demands of science and information networks development in the era of the industrial revolution 4.0 intertwined with waves of disruption. It is ironic because, in practice, some teachers still use conventional patterns. This of course is tedious and burdensome. The author uses a qualitative method with a literature approach and concludes that the praxis of Christian religious education is intertwined with a transformative call in the semantic meaning of Matthew 11:28-30. Therefore, the actualization of Christian religious education must be passionate, provide relief, be interactive, and dialogical, and lead to an invitation to learn continuously by educators to students gently and pleasantly as the Lord Jesus did.

Abstract

The conciousness of critical thinking is important and should be concern for every educational institutions in Indonesia. Training students to think critically and analytically on various kinds of problems is a serious thing for educators to do. So the purpose of this research is the education for critical consiousness promoted by Paulo Freire, can be applied in education in Indonesia, in order to produce students who think critically, including in terms of Christian teaching. By using a literature-based qualitative method, the authors systematically and theoretically describe critical conciousness in Christian religious Education. This is a challenge for Christian religious education in responding to it. Therefore, the interaction space between Christian religious education and students’ critical thinking conciousness becomes a meeting room that must be nurtured. So from this research, the authors conclude that to produce critical pedagogy that places social problems becomes central in the discussion room in the classroom.

Abstract

In the world of education, exemplary is a big responsibility that must be carried out by a teacher in carrying out his duties as a good educator. This is very important because the teacher's example can affect all aspects of the behavior and actions of students. A good teacher can be said to be responsible when he is able to apply good qualities and characters so that students can imitate them. In applying His example, Jesus was present as a professional teacher to set a good example and deserves to be followed by His students and many people. A teacher's attitudes, methods, and actions cannot be properly evaluated unless they are in line with what Jesus taught. The purpose of this article is to develop the attitude and teaching behavior of Sunday School teachers to be like Jesus' example in serving according to the Gospel of Matthew. A qualitative approach is used with a descriptive method. It can be concluded that Jesus is the best example to follow in personality, spirituality, and relationships for the progress of the ministry of GPdI Sunday School teachers Ora Et Labora Majalaya Bandung.

Abstract

The fall of man into sin has made man fail to understand God's truth about creation of the universe. Humans seek to uncover the truth of creation with secularism, which focuses on their thought and rejects God as creator. Worldview of creation that opposes God as Creator has become philosophical issues in Christian education that must be criticized with Biblical truth. Christian teachers have responsibility to shape students' worldview based on the Bible. This paper has purpose to examine Christian teachers’ role in shaping students' worldview of creation of the universe based on Biblical truth. The study was conducted with a study literature method that discusses three focuses named students’ worldview of creation of the universe, the role of Christian teachers in education, and the role of Christian teachers in shaping students' worldview. The worldview is formed from doctrine of Biblical creation. The role of the Christian teacher in shaping students' worldview is the responsibility of guiding and directing students learning orderliness of the universe which is by God’s work in Biblical truth. The next research suggested to carry out further analysis of students' perceptions and responses the understanding of creation as a form of evaluation of Christian teacher teaching practices.
