Abstract

Developing Multiple Intelligences Theory to Improve the Effectiveness of Adaptive Learning in MTs Hidayatus Shibyan Students. This research aims to improve students' focus in the learning process thru the development and implementation of an adaptive learning model based on Multiple Intelligences theory. This research uses a development research type (Research and Development / R&D) with the goal of developing a new product to improve the effectiveness of adaptive learning in students. The research procedure includes product development, product validation, and product testing. The study population consisted of 78 students from MTs Hidayatus Shibyan, with a sample of 10 students from class IX. The research instruments included expert validation assessment sheets (content experts and language experts). Data analysis yielded expert validation test scores. The validation test results showed that the development of Multiple Intelligences theory to improve the effectiveness of adaptive learning was feasible for use with students. The content expert validation test scored 80 (very good), and the language/media expert validation test scored 78 (good), resulting in a final average score of 79.00 (good). A "good" category score indicates that product development aspects have met requirements and planning. It is recommended that this development be used as a medium for guidance and counselling services to help teachers deliver material so that students do not get bored, provide new innovations for guidance and counselling teachers, and create a more inclusive learning environment that is responsive to the individual needs of students at MTs Hidayatus Shibyan. Keywords: Multiple Intelligences, Adaptive Learning, Learning Effectiveness.

Abstract

Development of Interaction Value in Boranan Dance as a Method to Reduce Academic Procrastination of Mahasantri. This study aims to develop and test the effectiveness of an educational counseling module based on Boranan dance values in reducing academic procrastination behavior among PPA Ibnu Katsir Jember students. The background of this study is based on the high number of academic procrastination which has an impact on decreasing achievement and learning motivation. This study uses the Research and Development (R&D) method with the ADDIE (Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) development model to produce a valid, applicable, and contextual module product. Validation was carried out by guidance and counseling material experts, while the module trial was carried out through three group counseling sessions with 31 students. The validation results showed that the module scored 80%, was valid and feasible to use with minor revisions. The implementation of the module showed a decrease in procrastination behavior from 83% to 57%, proving the effectiveness of the local culture-based approach. The implications of this study indicate that educational counseling that integrates local wisdom values, such as persistence in the Boranan dance, is not only effective psychopedagogically, but is also able to strengthen the cultural identity of students within the framework of character education. It is recommended that this module be adapted and applied more widely in various Islamic boarding school-based educational institutions or other cultural localities as an alternative contextual and transformative intervention. Keywords: Interaction Value, Academic Procrastination; Boranan Dance

Abstract

The Effectiveness of Modeling Techniques Using Symbolic Models to Improve Career Planning for Female Students at the Al-Ikhlas Orphan and Underprivileged Islamic Boarding School in Singosari. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of group guidance services using the symbolic modeling technique to improve the career planning of female students at the Al-Ikhlas Yatim Dhu'afa Islamic Boarding School in Singosari. The study addresses issues faced by students who experience confusion in determining their career plans after leaving the boarding school. This research employs a pre-experimental method using a Quasi-Experimental Design with the Equivalent Time Series Design method, involving a sample of 11 students. Data collection methods include observation, interviews, and questionnaires. Before being distributed, the questionnaires were tested for validity and reliability. The data analysis technique used is the Wilcoxon Match Pairs Test. The results of this study show that the symbolic modeling technique can be a practical and effective solution to help Islamic boarding school students improve their career planning skills. This is evidenced by a significant increase in students' scores at each post-test stage compared to the pre-test results. The average student score increased from 41.73 (low category) in the pre-test to 113.27 (high category) in the fourth post-test. This average increase of 171% demonstrates the success of the intervention in building career planning skills, particularly for students initially in the low category. This approach can be applied more broadly to other aspects of personal development, such as emotional management, interpersonal communication, and decision-making.

This study examines the effect of Empathy training technique based on Bugis Makassar peaceful culture on improving students' peaceful personality. The issue addressed is students' low peaceful personality characterized by inability to forgive, weak emotional control, and lack of empathy. The research novelty lies in integrating Bugis Makassar local wisdom Sipakatau, Sipakainge', and Sipakalebbi into empathy training. Using quasi-experimental design, 18 seventh-grade students were divided into experimental and control groups. Intervention was conducted through group counseling integrating three cultural values. Data were collected using peaceful personality scale and analyzed statistically. Results showed experimental group experienced highly significant improvement from low to high category, while control group remained unchanged. Abstract

Effectiveness of Self-Management Techniques to Improve Learning Independence of Ibnu Katsir 1 Jember Students. This study aims to test the effectiveness of self-management techniques in improving student learning independence at Ibnu Katsir 1 Islamic Boarding School in Jember. The background of this study is based on the low level of learning independence identified through initial observations, such as high dependence on teacher direction, lack of initiative in completing assignments, and lack of discipline in managing study time. This study used a quantitative quasi-experimental approach with a one-group pretest-posttest design. The research subjects were 10 students selected based on their low learning independence scores. The data collection technique used a learning independence scale with a validity of ≥ 0.361 and a Cronbach's Alpha reliability of 0.874. Data analysis was carried out using a paired sample t-test with the help of SPSS 26. The results showed an increase in the average learning independence score from a pretest value of 57.3 to 75.6 in the posttest, with a significance value (p) of 0.000 < 0.05. This demonstrates the effectiveness of self-management techniques in enhancing student learning independence. These findings support Bandura's theory of self-reinforcement and social learning and extend its application to the context of Islamic boarding schools. The practical implication of these results is the importance of self-management-based guidance programs in supporting learning independence in Islamic educational environments. Suggestions for future research include expanding the sample size and extending the duration of the intervention to achieve more general and in-depth results. Keywords: Self-management, Learning Independence, Islamic Boarding School.

Abstract

Psychological Resilience Based on ABC Theory in Overcoming Academic Anxiety in Ibnu Katsir 2 Female Students of Jember. This study aimed to test the effectiveness of an intervention program based on the ABC (Activating Event, Belief, Consequence) theory, developed using the ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) model, in reducing academic anxiety and increasing psychological resilience in female students. The method used was a quasi-experimental pretest-posttest design in one group. The study sample consisted of female students who demonstrated high levels of academic anxiety based on initial assessment results. The intervention was implemented through several structured group counseling sessions designed to change irrational beliefs and strengthen adaptive skills. Data analysis using a paired t-test revealed a significant difference between pretest and posttest scores for both academic anxiety and psychological resilience (p < 0.05). These findings indicate that the ABC theory-based intervention is effective in addressing common psychological problems faced by students. The implication of this study is the importance of integrating a cognitive-behavioral approach into guidance and counseling services in religious higher education settings. It is recommended that campuses and Islamic boarding schools provide ongoing support for the implementation of similar programs to create a mentally and emotionally healthier learning environment for students. Keywords: ABC Theory, Academic Anxiety, Psychological Resilience, Female
