Abstract

Forest and land fires in Riau Province are a serious problem and can cause losses to humans and nature. It is necessary to design an Internet of Things (IoT)-based land and forest fire detection device using an independent power supply energy source. This device is equipped with DHT11 temperature sensor, MQ2 smoke sensor, and flame sensor, as well as LoRa SX276 module as data transmission media. The system utilizes IoT technology to monitor real-time environmental conditions and provide a quick response to potential fires. A standalone power supply energy source is implemented to increase the independence of the device, so that it can operate effectively in emergency situations. The LoRa SX276 module is used as a data transmission medium to enable remote communication and ensure device connectivity with the control center. Device testing was conducted through simulated fire scenarios to evaluate its performance in detecting high temperature, smoke, and fire, as well as the reliability of data transmission over the LoRa network. The results show that the device successfully detects fires with a high level of reliability and is able to transmit data efficiently over the LoRa network. The contribution of this research is the provision of an advanced and reliable fire detection solution using IoT technology and self-sustaining energy sources, with the ability to transmit data over long distances via LoRa modules.

Abstract

Rice is a plant that is very important for human survival, so this plant is widely cultivated in almost all regions of Indonesia. One of the obstacles in rice farming is pests and diseases that attack rice plants. However, rice farmers' knowledge about rice pests and diseases and their control is still lacking, especially for novice farmers. On the other hand, the number of instructors/experts regarding rice pests and diseases is still limited. Therefore, an expert system is needed which can be a problem solver in identifying pests and diseases of rice plants. In expert systems there are several methods that can be used, including the forward chaining method and case based reasoning (CBR). These two methods were chosen because they can solve problems easily, quickly and precisely. The greater the knowledge stored in the system, the more skilled the system becomes at finding a solution to a case. The result of this research is a website-based expert system using forward chaining and case based reasoning methods. The research used 10 types of rice diseases with 32 symptoms and tested the system using 20 test data resulting in an accuracy value of 95%, so that this system was declared able to be used to diagnose rice plant diseases.

Abstract

As a healthcare institution, Universitas Muhammadiyah Malang General Hospital is in need of improvement in operational efficiency, easy access to information, and good service to patients and prospective patients. The General Hospital of Universitas Muhammadiyah Malang still has an inefficient process for registering patients, as the registration machine provided by the hospital is limited and can only be used by patients who come to the hospital. This causes long queues when a large number of patients register. Another problem is that some of the information related to the reservation process is only available directly at the hospital, which causes potential patients to return on another day when the clinic or department they want to go to is not available. Business Process Reengineering (BPR) is one of the solutions that can be done on the problems encountered in patient reservations at UMM Hospital. In conducting BPR, business processes can be eliminated or optimized to improve the efficiency of the process. This research conducts BPR using ASME (American Society of Mechanical Engineers) standards and throughput efficiency tests as a tool to measure the efficiency of new and old business processes. In this study, the throughput efficiency results of the initial business process in the patient reservation process of the General Hospital of Muhammadiyah University of Malang amounted to 49.09% and increased to 97.38% in the recommended business process after business process reengineering. Furthermore, the advantages and disadvantages were analyzed to find out the problems that may occur in the results of the recommended business process. The final result of this research is a solution in the form of a mobile application interface design that has been adapted to the needs based on the recommended business process.

Abstract

Stroke is a deadly disease. This can occur due to disturbances in brain function that occur suddenly, progressively and quickly. However, it is difficult to know the early symptoms of stroke. The application of data mining knowledge can be used to diagnose disease. This research was conducted to implement data mining in classifying brain stroke. The dataset used was obtained from Kaggle, totaling 4891 data. However, the dataset does not have a balanced amount of data for each class. To balance the data, the SMOTE technique is used which aims to increase accuracy. The application of the classification algorithms used, namely the Logistic Regression (LR), Random Forest (RF), Support Vector Machine (SVM), and K-Nearest Neighbors (KNN) algorithms aims to determine the best algorithm performance. This research resulted in a comparison of the four algorithms which showed that the LR, RF and SVM algorithms produced the highest accuracy, precision, recall and f1-score values, namely 95% accuracy, 95% precision, 100% recall and 97% f1-score. The KNN algorithm produces lower accuracy, precision, recall and f1-score values, namely 90% accuracy, 95% precision, 85% recall and 90% f1-score.

Abstract

The use of information technology is important to education throughout the world, encouraging schools to embrace technological advances. At MAN Karangasem, violations committed by students are still processed manually, resulting in delays in reporting and communication with parents. As part of this investigation, a system was developed to track student misconduct online. The system uses WhatsApp notifications for effective management and reporting. The development follows the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) through investigation, observation, interviews and documentation, using a waterfall methodology. This system has proven effective in helping students enter data, search for information, and report violations with a high level of accuracy. WhatsApp notifications speed up notifications to parents and improve communication between schools and parents. This system is expected to be able to overcome existing obstacles in dealing with student violations at MAN Karangasem schools. However, implementation of these systems requires ongoing evaluation to ensure long-term effectiveness and reliability.Suggestions for further research include conducting a comprehensive study of the impact of this system on improving student discipline, school management efficiency, and school-parent relationships.The use of information technology in schools not only changes the way students deal with bad behavior, but also strengthens the relationship between the school and the entire educational community. By using the right technology, MAN Karangasem and other schools can optimize the use of resources and strengthen their commitment to inclusive and results-oriented education.

Abstract

Islamic boarding schools, being traditional Islamic educational institutions in Indonesia, may face the problem of lack of access to technology. In Al-Wathoniyah Islamic Boarding School 43 North Jakarta, access to modern technology is still limited. Apart from this, data retrieval and processing is also slow (in manual systems, retrieval and processing of student data is a slow process and takes a long time). Since the registration of students in Al-Wathoniyah Islamic Boarding School 43 North Jakarta is still manual, it has several weaknesses such as. High energy requirements, relatively long or time-inefficient time, information errors or invalidity. Therefore, the development of management data information in Al-Wathoniyah Islamic Boarding School 43 North Jakarta will be a resource that can determine the progress of Islamic boarding schools in the future. Therefore, in this final project, a computerized Santori Data Registration Information System was developed as a tool to process new student data at Al-Wathoniyah Islamic Boarding School 43, North Jakarta.

Abstract

The demand for high-quality cameras in various activities is increasing, driving the development of the camera rental industry. The implementation of efficient search algorithms in camera rental systems has become very important to improve user experience. Brute Force Algorithm, although simple, offers an effective solution for data search. This study aims to explore the application of the Brute Force Algorithm in camera search in camera rental applications and identify potential improvements to enhance the efficiency of the algorithm. The results show that the Brute Force Algorithm is reliable in scenarios where ease of implementation and flexibility are top priorities. The implementation of this algorithm results in an effective and user-friendly camera rental application, allowing users to find the desired camera quickly and accurately.

Abstract

This study explores public sentiment towards the rice price increase in Indonesia using data from social media posts on Facebook. As a crucial staple commodity, rice prices significantly impact the economy and social life of the community. In this study, data was collected from Facebook using Instant Data Scraper during the period from January to May. The collected data underwent a cleaning process, and 200 data points were manually labeled as training data. The text preprocessing steps included tokenization, case folding, and stopword removal. Subsequently, TF-IDF weighting was applied to determine the importance of each word in the documents. The processed data was then analyzed using the Naive Bayes algorithm to classify positive and negative sentiments. The analysis results showed that out of 428 test data points, the Naive Bayes algorithm successfully identified 237 reviews as positive sentiment and 191 reviews as negative sentiment. Based on the obtained data, this study is expected to provide insights for the government and policymakers in managing rice price policies and improving public communication strategies, as well as anticipating the social impact of rice price increases.

Abstract

Information technology today is in great need in various fields to facilitate business processes in companies and organizations. One of the areas that continues to grow in Indonesia is freight delivery. Delivery of goods by IKSASS Pondok Pesantren Salafiyah Syafi’iyah Sukorejo is usually done once a month, with delivery times varying for each rayon. This process of delivery is still done in writing, where all the processes, from entering data to searching and storing data using books, are time-consuming and risk loss of data or exchange of goods. The delivery management of the goods available at the Rayon IKSASS Banyuwangi in each sub is different, both in terms of operating costs and exit costs per sub, cash in sub, as well as other management methods. To solve the problem, the SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) method was implemented using the PHP programming language and MySQL database. With the implementation of delivery management information systems, these differences can be managed more effectively, enabling more accurate and transparent monitoring of operating costs as well as facilitating financial and cash management in each sub rayon. The new system helps IKSASS managers perform delivery-related tasks, minimizes the risk of data loss, and speeds up the work process. In addition, the custodian can request the pickup of the goods without having to take them to the sub rayon iksass kalibaru office, as well as monitor the status of the delivery process until the arrival at the reception. Research results show that the implementation of Smart Tracking on this web-based delivery management is highly effective in improving the efficiency and accuracy of delivery processes.

Abstract

Current technological advances make companies take advantage of them to simplify and advance their businesses. With the development of consumer purchasing power, players are required to implement better marketing strategies than their competitors. and likewise with the facilities at the school which provide a library for book borrowing transactions and to facilitate learning and knowledge for pupils and students. Libraries also play an important role as managers of developing information. The development of libraries is always related to information with manual libraries and digital libraries. Schools are a gathering place for students who are expected to maximize the potential of students reading existing books through technology that is currently developing. However, there are several problems that often occur regarding borrowing and selling books. There are many books with various book titles that are still difficult to find that have been in the library for a long time, but it takes a long time to find books that have been in the library for a long time. To overcome existing problems, there needs to be a system that can help make finding books easier. , and books that are of interest to students when visiting the library.
