Abstract

The rapid development of technology makes it possible for unauthorized parties to extract messages from cover media. Therefore, additional security measures are required to protect the hidden message. Previous research has proposed combining steganography and cryptography techniques. Cryptography, as a technique for securing messages, can be classified into modern and classical based on the time it emerged. The key types include symmetric and asymmetric cryptography with some popular algorithms such as Rivest Cipher 4 (RC4), Data Encryption Standard (DES), and Advanced Encryption Standard (AES). Steganography, which is the art and science of hiding messages, is important for maintaining the confidentiality and security of data and information. Despite the advantages of sending data over the internet, there are disadvantages such as cybercrime, including eavesdropping and data alteration. The Least Significant Bit (LSB) method is a well-known strategy in steganography, mainly by using the LSBs of image pixel data. This method provides high security and can customize embedding techniques without information loss due to compression and invisible changes in image steganography. The importance of using a lossless compression format when using the LSB method is illustrated in stego image compression. The use of compression formats that suffer from loss (lossy) can result in the loss of the secret message. Although LSB steganography is commonly used due to its simplicity, it is vulnerable to detection by sophisticated steganographic analysis algorithms. This research highlights the limitations in information hiding capacity and security risks that need attention.

Abstract

A building shop is a business that provides various kinds of materials, equipment and supplies used in construction, renovation, repair and maintenance of buildings. Pilar Mas building shop is a building shop that sells various material products. The transaction system carried out by the Pilar Mas building shop is still traditional. With this method, the transaction process takes quite a lot of time and energy. By building this e_commerce system, it aims to save time and make it easier for workers to carry out transactions. The methodology used in building this e_commerce system is SDLC with a waterfall model because it has structured and systematic stages starting from analysis, design, code creation, testing and maintenance. The result of building this e_commerce system is that it is a medium that makes things easier for sellers and buyers

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk membuat Aplikasi Mobile Assistant Masa Kehamilan berbasis Android yang bertujuan untuk memudahkan ibu hamil dalam mencari informasi dan tips terkait kehamilan. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian adalah metode air terjun. Aplikasi yang dikembangkan dirancang menggunakan Unified Modeling Language (UML) yang meliputi use case diagram, Activity diagram, dan sequence diagram. Perangkat lunak yang digunakan dalam pembuatan aplikasi ini menggunakan framework Flutter, bahasa pemrograman Dart, dan Dialogflow sebagai platform pembuatan chatbot. Penelitian ini menghasilkan sebuah aplikasi mobile asisten masa kehamilan berbasis Android yang terdiri dari beberapa fitur pengelolaan data yang hanya dapat diakses oleh admin dan dapat dilihat oleh pengguna. Dengan adanya aplikasi ini diharapkan dapat membantu ibu hamil dalam memperoleh informasi dan tips terkait kehamilan secara online. Berdasarkan hasil kuesioner dengan persentase kegunaan sebesar 89%, responden sangat setuju dengan aplikasi ini. .

Abstract

Virtual Reality (VR) technology has made significant advancements in recent decades. With its evolving potential, VR has the capability to transform the way we learn, work, play, and interact with the world around us. The development of VR applications for Microsoft Office training holds significant relevance, especially for students of Madrasah Tsanawiyah (MTs) Darul Hikmah Pekanbaru. Microsoft Office training is essential for MTs Darul Hikmah Pekanbaru students as it serves as a practical necessity in preparing them for academic and professional endeavors. One relevant challenge is how to integrate VR technology with appropriate learning methods, such as the Four D (4D) method, to make the training experience more effective and efficient. Therefore, this research aims to identify and address these issues, as well as explore the potential of VR applications with the 4D method to enhance users' practical and intuitive Microsoft Office skills. The development of VR applications for Microsoft Office training using the Four D (4D) method, comprising the Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate stages, has yielded highly favorable results based on comparisons of measurements from subject matter experts, media experts, and participants. From the measurement and validation results, this VR application has received high feasibility ratings. Subject matter experts rated it 100%, while media experts rated it 91.83%, and participants rated it 96% from the VR application trial.

Abstract

Digital news has become an important breakthrough in current information development, replacing printed newspapers which are increasingly less popular in Indonesia. However, the majority of digital news readers, especially on Kompas.id, are elderly, who may face difficulties in using modern technology. This raises the question of whether sophisticated digital news products are enough to address issues of accessibility and convenience for seniors. This research aims to present innovative solutions by utilizing technology Voice User Interface (VUI) to help elderly and young digital news users. MethodHuman-Centered Design (HCD) was used in this study. Result ofUsability Testing (UT) on the prototype shows that users gave a positive assessment with a total score of 91.3, a high level of satisfaction. This became the basis for continuing development of this prototype.

Abstract

In building an algorithm-based automatic scheduling system that has the objectives of designing an Information System-based learning scheduling system and determining the subjects applied using genetic algorithms, using Research and Development research methods, in the field of Education, (R&D) is the process of developing and product validation. The development stage consists of several stages including the potential and problem stage, the data collection stage, the Information System product design stage, the Information System validation stage, the Genetic Algorithm validation stage, the Genetic Algorithm-based Information System revision stage and Information System testing, summary of results This scheduling system makes a Java-based scheduling information system using the NetBeans application, its components consist of input Subjects, Teachers, Classrooms and the number of Chromosomes to be, and the conclusion is that an algorithm-based scheduling system can help complete scheduling in SMK Multi Mekanik Masmur schools. Abstract

Interfaith marriage is still a controversial issue in multicultural Indonesian society. The provisions of Law Number 1 of 1974 which prohibit interfaith marriages have triggered various responses in society. In 2023, the Supreme Court (MA) decided to prohibit religious courts from registering interfaith marriages. This further strengthened the controversy and sparked various reactions from the public. Platforms like Instagram have become a forum for people to express their various sentiments regarding this issue, ranging from support, rejection, to questions and doubts. This research classifies 1000 Instagram comments collected from five news social media accounts. These comments were labeled manually by an expert who works as an Indonesian language lecturer, so they were divided into 500 positive comments and 500 negative comments. After going through the text preprocessing process and TF-IDF weighting, the Naïve Bayes Classifier method succeeded in achieving the highest level of accuracy of 76% by using 10% of test data from the dataset to classify public sentiment towards the ban on interfaith marriage in Instagram comments.

Abstract

Krajan Hamlet, one of the areas in Jember Regency, has built an RT-RW Net network which aims to make it easier for the community or residents there to use the internet network for education, work and so on at relatively low costs. However, there is a problem, namely that using the internet network often causes buffering and even the network goes down if used simultaneously because the bandwidth is not limited to each user or client. The solution is to carry out simple queue bandwidth management. The completion steps in this research use the Network Development Life Cycle (NDLC) method. Resulting in research that the simple queue bandwidth management that has been carried out can be applied to the RT/RW Net network infrastructure that has been built, it was proven that when conducting bandwidth testing there was no bandwidth that exceeded the maximum limit that had been determined, namely the 20 Mbps bandwidth provided by the ISP divided into 5 Mbps for the Admin and for each client, they get a bandwidth of 3 Mbps, and when testing the network quality based on QoS calculations it can be categorized as good.

Abstract

The improvement of operational efficiency in the room rental industry has become a primary focus for stakeholders. This article introduces a study proposing the implementation of Business Process Reengineering (BPR) in the room rental administration system in the city of Malang. The main objective of this research is to identify, analyze, and redesign existing business processes to enhance efficiency in room rental services and management. The methodology involves observation, business process analysis, and the application of BPR principles to adjust the administration system. This study highlights the need for innovation in information technology to support sustainable business process transformation. The results indicate that the implementation of BPR in the room rental administration system can lead to a significant improvement in operational efficiency, accelerating services by 65.397%, as evidenced by the Throughput Efficiency test. This is a notable increase from the previous 26.903% before BPR to 92.30% after BPR. The implications of these findings provide a foundation for further development in integrating the latest technology within the context of the room rental industry.

Abstract

Attendance at lectures for students majoring in Electrical Engineering at Riau University is an important requirement for taking the Final Semester Examination (UAS). At the Department of Electrical Engineering, University of Riau, attendance activities use attendance sheets which are filled in by students and lecturers. Lecture attendance using this method is considered ineffective considering that students often forget to fill in lecture attendance when lectures are held boldly. Apart from that, this absence can still be easily manipulated by students, this is because some lecturers only fill in the material on the attendance sheet at the end of the lecture, after which the attendance sheet is given to the students, which causes absences to be left behind. In addition, the department head cannot directly observe whether the lectures are courageous or engaging. This research was conducted based on existing problems in the Department of Electrical Engineering with the aim of solving existing problems. The results of this research are a system created in the form of a website for lecturers to display a QR Code, and for department heads and study program coordinators to monitor ongoing lectures and an Android application for students to be able to take attendance. Implementation of the website system using the Laravel framework and the Kotlin programming language for Android applications. Testing is carried out on Android applications using four testing aspects, namely functionality, compatibility, portability and usability. The results obtained from this test were that the functionality test was successful, because there were no failures when running the system. And the compatibility test was successful, because the application was able to run together with other applications, and the portability test showed that the application could run using any version of Android. And the results of the usability test using UEQ show excellent results.
