Aksara merupakan jurnal yang diterbitkan oleh Program Studi Pendidikan Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia, Fakultas Keguruan dan Ilmu Pendidikan, Universitas Batanghari dan Lembaga Penelitian dan Pengabdian Masyarakat Universitas Batanghari. Jurnal ini merupakan jurnal penelitian yang mempublikasikan artikel hasil penelitian asli, studi kepustakaan, dan tulisan terkait dengan fokus pada kajian Pendidikan Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia, kajian bahasa dan kajian sastra. Semua artikel ditinjau oleh 4 orang reviewer, 2 orang reviewer internal dan 2 orang reviewer eksternal. Jurnal ini diterbitkan dua kali dalam satu tahun setiap bulan April dan bulan September, jurnal aksara ini dapat diakses pembaca, jurnal aksara ini berisi hasil penelitian pustaka maupun hasil penelitian lapangan. Jurnal ini meliputi beberapa ranah Ilmu sebagai berikut: 1. Kajian Pendidikan Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia meliputi bidang pembelajaran keterampilan berbahasa, pembelajaran linguistik, pembelajaran semantik, pembelajaran pragmatik, pembelajaran wacana, pembelajaran sosiolinguistik, pembelajaran psikolinguistik serta pembelajaran puisi, pembelajaran prosa, pembelajaran fiksi, pembelajaran drama. 2. Kajian Bahasa Indonesia meliputi: fonologi, morfologi, sintaksis, analisis wacana, semantik, pragmatik, sosiolinguistik, psikolinguistik, bahasa dan budaya, dialektologi, dokumentasi bahasa, serta bidang keilmuan lain yang berkaitan dengan kajian kebahasaan. 3. Kajian Sastra Indonesia meliputi: sastra lisan dan sastra modern berupa kajian puisi, prosa fiksi dan drama.

Abstract

This research aims to describe how to improve the ability to find intrinsic elements of short stories through the Jigsaw learning model in students of SMP Negeri 16 Jambi city in 2022. The research is a class action research with a descriptive survey research method. The number of respondents was 36 students selected based on a simple random sampling technique. The instrument uses a questionnaire on the ability to understand the intrinsic elements of short stories, while the instrument for observing learning performance uses questionnaires. The implementation of research consists of two cycles; each cycle consists of four stages: planning, implementing actions, observation, and reflection. From the study results, an average of 70.32 was obtained in the pre-cyclical period, the learning outcomes test in the first cycle obtained an average rat value of 82.78, and in cycle II, an average rat value of 87.62 was obtained. The learning achievement rate in the new pre-cyclical reached 32.43 percent. After holding class actions in cycle I by applying the Jigsaw learning model, an achievement reached 89%, youthfulness was reflected, and transfer assignments to competent ones and improved learning atmosphere from the aspect of student psychology in cycle II, student achievement reached 100%. Based on this research, it was concluded that by using the Jigsaw learning model, Learning outcomes to understand intrinsic elements can increase.

Abstract

This study aims to test the effect of the round table technique on students’ achievement in the writing of description texts. The research design of this technique is a quasi-experiment. The experimental group got 80.2, while the control group got 71.08. This study found that students who learned using the Roundtable technique resulted in better descriptive text writing than those who learned using direct instruction techniques. It can be concluded that teaching descriptive text writing using the round table technique gives better results in student writing than direct instruction. The residents are grade II students of MTSN 4 Padang. Two classes were randomly selected as research samples. During treatment, students in the experimental group used the Roundtable technique, while the control group used the direct instruction technique. Analysis of the test results showed that the scores of the experimental group students were higher than those of the control group. In the post-test, the average score of the experimental group got the best results.

Abstract

This research aims to improve students learning outcomes on social interaction materials, including social interaction requirements and forms of social interaction using picture and picture learning models in class VII A of SMP Negeri 5 Muaro Jambi for the 2022/2023 academic year. This research was conducted from August to October 2022. This research consists of two cycles: planning, action, observation, and reflection. The instrument used in this study resulted from a learning test that was analyzed using a picture and picture model. The results obtained in this study are the results of tests carried out at the end of the learning process in each cycle. From the test results, an increase in learning outcomes was obtained. It was seen that there was an increase in the percentage of achievement in each cycle, namely the first cycle of the percentage of student score ranges as follows: the range of values in the category needs guidance 55.5%, the Sufficient category 7.4%, the Good category 22.2%, the very good category 14.5%. In the second cycle, there was an increase: need 0% guidance, sufficient category 7.4%, Good category 37%, very good category 55.5%.

Abstract

Literary works are literary, written works that, compared to other writings, have various advantages, such as authenticity, artistry, beauty in their content and expression, drama, epic, and lyrics. A literary work in poetry is an overflow of expression of an emotional soul. Poetry is categorized as a unique literary work because it is created from imagination and contains the most profound experiences of its poets analogous to beautiful language. A poem is a literary work with a language that is compacted, shortened, and rhythmically given with a solid sound and a selection of figurative (imaginative) words. It serves as a means by which man expresses and expresses his thoughts and feelings to other human beings. An objective approach is an approach that orients or focuses attention on the poem itself. Poetry is considered an object of self-sufficiency, an independent world. Since it is considered an autonomous world, the decipherment, interpretation, and judgment are based on the poem itself regardless of the poet, the reader, or reality. This approach is more widely used in poetry. This approach is widely used in poetry. This paper also intends to apply an objective approach in analyzing poetry. Within the scope of poetry, elaborates that the literary work is not only a system of norms but also several strata (layers) of norms.   The process of analyzing is directed at understanding the parts of a literary work supporting the whole, and conversely, the whole itself is of the parts. Therefore, to understand its meaning, literary works must be analyzed on the basis of their own structure, detached from the historical background, detached from the author's self and intentions, and their effects on the reader. The only important thing is close reading, that is, a way of reading that is dotted with the opinion that each part of the text should occupy a place within the entire structure so that the hooks make sense. Abstract

This study aims to describe the woman image of Selena's character in Tere Liye's Selena Novel, which refers to psychological aspects, namely attitudes and levels of ingenuity in literary psychology study. This research uses qualitative descriptive methods. Qualitative descriptive definition is a type of research used to understand the phenomena experienced by the research subject by describing in the form of words and language using data from research results in novels. The data in the novel is in the form of excerpts from the aspects of attitude and level of ingenuity in Selena in Tere Liye's Selena Novel. Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that the woman image of Selena’s character in the novel Selena by Tere Liye consists of 2 psychological aspects, namely the attitude aspect and the level of ingenuity.The attitude aspect is divided into two, a positive attitude and a negative attitude. Positive attitude, namely four quotes of friendly attitude, five of brave attitude, 14 of optimism attitude, ten of help attitude, and 6 of hardworking attitude. In addition, for the negative attitude, there are four quotes about stealing, seven about grumpy attitude, four about lying attitude, three about pessimistic attitude, and two about complaining attitude. Next, the aspects of the level of ingenuity are language intelligence/linguistics accounted for eight quotes, seven quotes of mathematical logic intelligence, one quote of intrapersonal intelligence, three quotes of interpersonal intelligence, one quote of musical or musical intelligence, one quote, three quotes of visual and spatial intelligence, and three quotes of kinesthetic intelligence. Thus the total the data is 85 Citations.

Abstract

Indonesian language lecture activities are the most basic activities. Achieving good results of Indonesian language lectures there are factors that affect both from within and outside the individual. In STIKES Syedza Saintika Public Health Students, student lecture activities are required to be active in Indonesian language lectures, asking and responding, but in fact only a few students play an active role in asking questions. One way to overcome is using the inquiry Approach. The purpose of the study provides a solution to overcome the problem of students who are not confident to ask questions in lectures Indonesian. This type of research is classroom action research. The results illustrate that; 1) The inquiry approach can change the way students lectures are lectured from monotonous and boring Indonesian language lectures towards lectures that make students active, creative, innovative and more confident so that the atmosphere of Indonesian language lectures becomes more lively. 2) The inquiry approach can be presented using various methods according to the demands of Indonesian language lecture materials and lecturers are skilled in their presentation. 3) The inquiry approach is proven to increase students' confidence in asking questions so that the results of indonesian language lectures achieved can be obtained as desired. This can be seen from the interaction of students in lectures, where the activeness of students asking questions in cycle II is higher than in cycle I.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the psychology of father’s character. This research is a qualitative descriptive. The data is in the form of sentence quotations in which there is a form of inner conflict in Father’s character. The approach used in this research is a Content Analysis Study. Based on the results of data analysis, it can be concluded that: 1. The form of near-approaching inner conflict is contained in 45 quotes, among others; Dengan takjub Ayah Tiri memandang ke arah saya, wajahnya penuh dengan kegembiraan. Tak henti-hentinya ayah berkata “Patut, sangat patut sekali!”. Sejak awal beliau menolak mempunyai anak sendiri, beliau berkata kami ini adalah anak kandungnya. Dan Ayah bersyukur ternyata Ayah sejauh ini berhasil mendidik kalian,” papar Ayah tiriku dengan matanya yang kian membasah. 2. The form of inner conflict of the being away aspect is contained in the quote: Namun, hanya karena sebatang pipa rokok, ayah tiri telah memberikan saya satu tamparan yang sangat keras. Ketika saya menyerahkan pipa itu kehadapan Ayah tiri, beliau menerimanya dengan tangan gemetaran dan tak lupa beliau memberi saya tamparan keras, lalu kedua matanya berlinangan air mata. Ia tak mau menganggap ayah tirinya sebagai ayah, apalagi untuk memanggil “Ayah” Of the two conclusions, the inner conflict of the near-approach aspect is found more 45 quotations than the inner conflict of being away there are 24 quotations

Abstract

Analyzing literary works is a common thing to do as a process of meaning or giving meaning to literary works with aesthetic intensity; another term is concretization. Various approaches are offered, one of which is an objective approach, namely an approach that focuses on the literary work itself; this approach considers literary works autonomous. As an autonomous structure, a literary work can be understood as a rounded whole with building elements. Therefore, to understand its meaning, a literary work must be analyzed based on its structure, detached from various elements outside the structure of its significance. The poem "Kucari Jalan Menuju Rumahku" in the Anthology Aku Bawakan Cinta Buatmu is formed from a unique and straightforward language order but has a broad meaning and makes readers interested in his work. This study aims to analyze the meaning of the poem entitled " Kucari Jalan Menuju Rumahku" in the Anthology Aku Bawakan Cinta Buatmu by Chory Marbawi and convey the detailed content of the poem so that readers can know the meaning conveyed through this research. This research is also helpful for readers to further develop literary works in the form of poetry. The method used in this study used a descriptive method that examines the content of the meaning of poetry. In addition, the poems in this study were dissected using an objective approach.

Abstract

This article aims to: (1) identify the grammatical and lexical aspects of the novel "A Pair of White Angsa For Palupi", and (2) describe the grammatical and lexical aspects of the novel "Sepair of white swans for Palupi". The study used a qualitative approach with a qualitative descriptive method. The technique used in this article is the documentation, listen and note technique. Data collection is done by using data source analysis. The researcher became the main data collection tool and at the same time directly analyzed the collected data. The results showed that there were five data that included grammatical and lexical aspects, which included: First, there were twenty grammatical data in the form of grammatical cohesion markers that appeared, namely references, substitutions, conjunctions, and ellipsis. Second, there are five lexical data in the form of lexical cohesion that appears, namely repetition, antonym. The results of the study indicate that there are grammatical and lexical aspects of the discourse of the novel "A Pair of White Swans for Palupi". Based on the research that has been done, the suggestion to be conveyed to the author is to be careful in the use of pronouns because the use of pronouns that are not appropriate or appropriate can give different or ambiguous meanings. Abstract

This study aims to describe the form of ecranization of the additional aspects of the Antares novel to the Antares web series. This research use desciptive qualitative approach. The data in this study is the addition of plot, character, and setting in the Antares web series from the Antares novel. The data sources used are the novel Antares by Rweinda published by Loveable in 2020 and the web series Antares, produced by Manoj Punjabi and directed by Rizal Mantovani. Data collection techniques are through reading, viewing documentation, and taking notes. The data analysis technique used is comparative analysis. The results of this study obtained the form of adding plots, adding characters, and adding backgrounds which were shown through scenes in the Antares web series. There are thirty additional scenes that can be classified into thirteen scenes that show the addition of the plot (events), six scenes that show the addition of characters, and eleven scenes that show the addition of the setting. Additions are needed for the sake of a filmic angle and are still relevant to the overall content of the story.
