Abstract

The quality of life of the elderly 60-74 years usually experiences a lot of decline both physically, psychologically, and socially. As the quality of life of an elderly person decreases, diseases that attack an elderly person will appear. Quality of life is important in the life of the elderly, namely increasing the life expectancy of the elderly. The purpose of this study is for readers to understand several factors that can affect the quality of life of the elderly. This research uses literature review from several articles. Data was obtained using the Publish or Perish application from Google Schoolar and there were 200 articles, after reviewing 5 suitable articles. Based on the analysis of the literature review, there are several factors that affect the quality of life of the elderly ranging from nutritional status, independence, mindfulness, psychosocial, and obesity. Nutritional status which can be seen from the elderly's food consumption, independence which causes the elderly not to depend on others, mindfullnes fosters good psychological function, psychosocial which means a decrease in reciprocal relationships that cause the elderly to feel lonely, and obsessiveness caused by excessive diet.

Abstract

The decline in cognitive function in the elderly is known by the appearance of signs and symptoms in the form of memory impairment, changes in perception, problems in communicating, and decreased focus and attention. This study aims to identify causal factors and analyze the impact of cognitive decline on the quality of life of the elderly. With a better understanding of the relationship between cognitive function and quality of life. This research was conducted by conducting a literature review by searching for articles relevant to the research topic and sourcing from various sources of articles published in the last ten years obtained in the publish or perish application. Data was obtained from Google Scholar by getting 7 articles that match the research theme. This study identified elderly aged ≥60 years who experienced cognitive decline, except those with severe communication impairment who were unable to provide the required information. Data analysis was then combined with narrative to create a report that answered the research objectives. That cognitive decline in the elderly affects the quality of life of the elderly which causes dependence on others. Decreased cognitive function is usually caused by several factors, namely age, education factors, and health factors.

Abstract

Korean culture through music, drama, and fashion has become a global phenomenon that influences the lifestyle and Islamic values ​​of students. This study analyzes the influence of Korean culture on the lifestyle and Islamic values ​​of FPOK students using a quantitative approach with a Likert scale questionnaire on 62 respondents. The results of the analysis showed good validity and reliability (Cronbach's Alpha X = 0.782, Y1 = 0.806, Y2 = 0.856). Pearson correlation showed a significant relationship between Korean culture and lifestyle (r = 0.622, p < 0.01) and Islamic values ​​(r = 0.506, p < 0.01). Regression analysis showed that Korean culture explained 38.7% of the variation in lifestyle and 25.6% of Islamic values. These results indicate that Korean culture has a significant influence on students' lifestyle, but the influence on Islamic values ​​is weaker. These findings emphasize the importance of considering other factors in understanding changes in students' lifestyle and Islamic values.

Abstract

Local Own-source Revenue (PAD) is an important indicator for assessing the independence of a region. Taxes and retribution have a strategic role as contributors to Local Own-source Revenue (PAD). The growth of Local Own-source Revenue (PAD), taxes and retribution in Magelang City over the last 13 years shows significant variations/fluctuations. This indicates instability in the management of regional income sources. This research aims to analyze the influence of regional taxes and local retribution on Original Regional Income in Magelang City for the 2011-2023 period. The data used is time series data from 2011 to 2023 on an annual basis obtained from the Directorate General of Financial Balance of the Ministry of Finance (https://djpk.kemenkeu.go.id/). The research method uses multiple linear regression analysis. The research results show that taxes have a positive and very significant influence on Original Regional Income in Magelang City amounting to 7.218, while local retribution have a negative and significant influence on Original Regional Income in Magelang City amounting to -23.922. Together, taxes and levies have a significant effect on Local Own-source Revenue in Magelang City for the 2011-2023 period. Optimizing local taxes and levy policy reform must prioritize efficiency (low management costs) and effectiveness (maximum revenue with direct benefits for society). If carried out consistently, then these steps can significantly increase Local Own-source Revenue, strengthen the regional economy, and improve the welfare of the people of Magelang City.

Abstract

Elderly people are individuals who are over 60 years old and generally experience a decline in physical and psychological abilities. In this case, the family has an important role in providing support to improve the quality of life of the elderly in a stable and sustainable manner. The aim of this research is to determine the effect of family support on the quality of life of the elderly. This research uses a literature review approach by searching for relevant scientific articles within the last ten years. Data is collected through the Publish or Perish application using keywords appropriate to the topic. From this search, 150 articles were obtained. Next, an identification and screening process is carried out using predetermined inclusion and exclusion criteria. After the selection process, 10 articles were obtained which were deemed to be most appropriate to the research focus, namely regarding the influence of family support on the quality of life of the elderly. Data analysis was carried out narratively, by grouping findings based on the form of family support provided to the elderly. Based on the results of this analysis, it is known that family support has a significant influence on improving the quality of life of the elderly. Forms of support such as attention, affection and positive social interactions can reduce feelings of loneliness in the elderly and provide emotional encouragement that is important for their well-being.

Abstract

Negative body image can have a negative impact on an individual's psychological well-being. However, good emotional maturity can act as a protective factor in reducing these negative impacts. This research aims to examine the relationship between body image, emotional maturity, and psychological well-being in early adult individuals. The method used is a literature review by collecting relevant scientific articles published in the last five years obtained through the Publish or Perish application. Of the 200 articles accessed via Google Scholar, 38 articles met the criteria. The research results show that poor body image is correlated with low emotional maturity and has a significant negative impact on psychological well-being. On the other hand, high emotional maturity can reduce the negative impact of body image on psychological well-being. These findings emphasize the importance of developing emotional maturity as a strategy to improve psychological well-being in young adults who have negative self-perceptions.

Abstract

The integration of Islamic ethical values and the principle of integrity in physical education, especially in aquatic learning, is an important effort in forming student characters who are not only physically competent, but also moral and ethical. This research aims to describe students' perceptions of the integration of Islamic ethical values and the principles of integrity in aquatic learning in the PGSD Physical Education Study Program. The approach used was descriptive quantitative involving 41 students from the class of 2024 who were taking aquatics courses. Data collection was carried out through a questionnaire adapted from the Islamic Ethical Values Scale (IEVS) which consists of 20 items and covers four main dimensions, namely Islamic ethical values, application of sharia, integrity, and application of Islamic values in aquatic learning. The research results show that the majority of students have a positive perception of the integration of Islamic ethical values and the principle of integrity in the aquatic learning process. However, significant variations were found in several indicators indicating the need to develop a more inclusive and contextual curriculum in accordance with the values of Islamic law. It is hoped that these findings can become the basis for designing aquatic learning strategies that are not only technically competent, but also contain strong moral and spiritual values.

Abstract

Traditional markets in Magelang City face significant challenges from competition with modern markets and the emergence of online shopping, which affect the local economy and community welfare. These markets serve as important centers for economic activity, job creation, price stabilization of essential goods, and support for small and medium enterprises (SMEs). The decline in market activity due to modernization threatens SMEs and access to goods at affordable prices. Government efforts to promote traditional markets remain suboptimal, mainly due to limited involvement and support. This study uses a policy evaluation approach with Grid Analysis and the preparation of policy recommendations with Interpretative Structural Modeling. The main findings of this research reveal that collaboration between the trade and tourism sectors, as well as the use of digital technology to promote traditional markets, are crucial steps to strengthen the existence of traditional markets in Magelang City. This study recommends increasing government efforts to promote traditional markets through collaboration with the tourism sector. These efforts are carried out by integrating sectoral programs between regional government institutions, in order to position traditional markets as the main tourist destination, thereby revealing the number of visitors and various other positive impacts.

Abstract

The provision of public Green Space (PGS) is mandated by law and is a responsibility of local governments. Despite numerous efforts, several regions continue to face challenges in meeting the needs for PGS, primarily due to resource constraints, including budget limitations. To address these challenges, multi-stakeholder collaboration is essential. This study aims to identify and analyze various forms of collaboration undertaken by the local government of Payakumbuh in the provision of PGS. Using an exploratory approach and qualitative methods, data were collected through document studies, field observations, and in-depth interviews with 25 informants, comprising 17 government representatives, 5 private sector members, and 3 community leaders. The findings indicate that the local government of Payakumbuh has established diverse collaborations with various parties, including other government agencies, the private sector, and the community. The role of the community has proven significant in enhancing the achievement of PGS. As landowners, community members collaborate with the government, which supports them through policies and assistance with planting materials. Approximately 82.5% of the existing PGS is comprised of Urban Forests, predominantly owned by the community. This collaboration has become the dominant form in achieving the targets for PGS provision.

Abstract

Transportation problems in Magelang City are characterized by a decline in public interest in using city public transportation (angkot), which has an impact on reducing the number of public transportation and decreasing the income of drivers. On the other hand, the budget allocated by the Magelang City Transportation Service has not been able to encourage the modernization of city transportation management. This research aims to formulate a strategic planning model in managing public transportation in Magelang City. The method used is descriptive qualitative with a SWOT analysis approach. Data collection techniques are carried out through observation, interviews and documentation. The data analysis techniques include data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The research results show that there are seven aspects in the strength dimension, four aspects in the weakness dimension, four aspects in the opportunity dimension, and five aspects in the threat dimension. Based on the results of the SWOT analysis, 14 strategic planning points were formulated which can be used as a reference by stakeholders in efforts to develop and manage public transportation in Magelang City more effectively and sustainably.
