Abstract

Environmental pollution problems in densely populated residential areas arise from inadequate and inadequate management of household waste. There are growing demands for environmental pollution prevention efforts involving the active participation of local residents. This study aims to analyze the trend of community-based environmental pollution prevention efforts within the Neighborhood Association (RT) using qualitative methods with empirical data supported by field observations and interviews in the Indonesian Planet Crisis Prevention (PKPI) area of RT 08 RW 04, Malaka Jaya Village, Duren Sawit District, East Jakarta. The results show that residents' practices and efforts in environmental management, including household waste management, composting and biopores, catfish cultivation in ditches and community nutrient ponds, and the use of solar energy, demonstrate the implementation of environmental impact prevention principles by local residents. However, the desire to implement these prevention practices is closely related to the level of community participation and institutional support. This study concludes that community-based environmental pollution prevention demonstrates the implementation of the prevention principle in environmental law in densely populated residential areas.

Abstract

This study examines the optimization of renewable energy utilization in hybrid power generation systems to achieve sustainable national energy security in Indonesia. The research is motivated by increasing energy demand, the depletion of fossil fuel reserves, and commitments to carbon emission reduction. It highlights major challenges in integrating renewable energy into conventional power systems, including limited grid infrastructure, high initial investment costs, the intermittency of sources such as solar and wind, and constraints in energy storage technologies. The study employs a library research approach by analyzing primary and secondary data from scientific books, national and international journal articles, energy agency reports, and case studies of hybrid system implementation in several regions of Indonesia. The findings indicate that Indonesia possesses abundant renewable energy resources—such as solar, wind, hydro, and biomass—which, if effectively integrated into hybrid systems, can enhance electricity supply reliability, reduce dependence on fossil fuels, and strengthen national energy security. The study concludes that developing renewable energy–based hybrid power plants is a key strategy for achieving long-term energy resilience and supporting sustainable development in Indonesia.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the impact of digital tax regulation and digital tax literacy on the financial compliance of online Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Indonesia. The main issue addressed is the relatively low fiscal compliance level within the rapidly growing digital economy sector, despite the government’s implementation of digital-based tax policies. This research employs a quantitative approach with an explanatory research design to examine the causal relationships among variables. Primary data were collected through an online survey of 385 MSME owners operating on e-commerce platforms such as Tokopedia, Shopee, and Bukalapak. The research instrument consisted of a closed-ended questionnaire using a five-point Likert scale, tested for validity through Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) and for reliability using Cronbach’s Alpha (>0.7). The results of multiple linear regression analysis show that digital tax regulation (β = 0.426; p < 0.001) and digital tax literacy (β = 0.337; p < 0.001) both have a positive and significant influence on MSMEs’ financial compliance. The coefficient of determination (R² = 0.482) indicates that these two variables explain 48.2% of the variance in financial compliance levels. These findings confirm that effective digital tax policies and higher levels of tax literacy play crucial roles in enhancing compliance among online business actors. This research provides practical implications for the government to strengthen the integration between digital tax systems and e-commerce platforms, while also improving tax literacy through technology-based education programs. Theoretically, the findings reinforce the Theory of Planned Behavior as a framework for understanding tax compliance behavior in the digital era and offer empirical evidence for developing inclusive and adaptive fiscal policies aligned with the digitalization of the economy.

Abstract

The implementation of educational and developmental services constitutes a systematic effort to put policies, programs, and academic activities into practice in order to meet cadets’ needs and enhance their satisfaction. This study aims to analyze the satisfaction level of the Police Academy cadets with the implementation of educational and developmental services in 2025. The research employs a mixed-methods approach with a sequential explanatory design, in which quantitative data are collected and analyzed first, followed by qualitative data to further explain the quantitative findings. Quantitative data were obtained through a five-point Likert-scale questionnaire ranging from “very satisfied” to “very dissatisfied.” The questionnaire was distributed to Police Academy cadets, while qualitative data were collected through interviews and observations. Quantitative data were analyzed descriptively to determine cadet satisfaction levels, whereas qualitative data were analyzed through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The quantitative results indicate that respondents’ satisfaction falls within the “Very High” category, with an average score of 91.6%. Qualitative findings further show that, in general, cadets hold positive views regarding the implementation of academic and non-academic activities within the educational environment. However, several aspects still require improvement, including the utilization of learning technologies, active instructor engagement, and the availability of supporting facilities and infrastructure.

Abstract

The process of transitioning into adulthood is a complex phase characterized by emotional instability, identity negotiation, and psychological uncertainty, particularly among Generation Z. Popular music often functions as a reflective medium that articulates such experiences, one of which is expressed through the song Beranjak Dewasa by Nadin Amizah. This study aims to analyze the meaning embedded in the song’s lyrics using Schleiermacher’s hermeneutic approach, which emphasizes grammatical and psychological interpretation. This research employs a qualitative descriptive method through textual analysis of selected lyric excerpts that represent the process of individual maturation. The findings indicate that the song’s lyrics portray inner conflict, emotional vulnerability, acceptance of change, and awareness of life’s imperfections as integral parts of becoming an adult. Grammatically, the song uses simple yet emotionally rich diction, creating an intimate and reflective tone, while psychologically, the lyrics reflect the songwriter’s subjective emotional experiences. This study contributes to the fields of communication and popular music studies by demonstrating the relevance of hermeneutic analysis in interpreting contemporary song lyrics and by providing insights into the representation of the quarter-life crisis in Indonesian popular music narratives

Abstract

This study presents an analysis of students’ knowledge regarding multimedia technology as a subject within the teaching and learning process, particularly in the context of practical laboratory sessions. The research is entitled Identification of Students’ Knowledge of Multimedia Technology Use in Secondary Education Learning. The objectives of this study are to examine the importance of multimedia technology in secondary education and to identify how multimedia technology is utilized by students in the teaching and learning process at the secondary level. The population of this study consisted of twenty (20) schools, while the sample included five (5) representative schools, involving a total of 50 students, comprising 28 male and 22 female students. This study employed a qualitative descriptive method, and the data collection techniques used were documentation and questionnaire-based surveys. The primary instrument for data collection was a structured questionnaire. The results of the study indicate that out of the 50 secondary school students from five schools, all respondents acknowledged that multimedia technology is a subject included within their learning context. Regarding familiarity with multimedia technology topics, 66% of students responded “yes,” while 34% responded “no,” indicating that the majority of students possess knowledge of multimedia technology. However, concerning the availability of practical laboratory sessions related to multimedia technology, only 36% of students responded “yes,” while 64% responded “no,” suggesting that most students still lack access to practical laboratory facilities. Furthermore, regarding the use of materials in practical sessions related to operating computer programs, only 10% of students responded “yes,” while 80% responded “no.” These findings indicate that only a small proportion of students understand the process of operating computer programs.

Abstract

This study examines the implementation of the Discovery Learning method in Micro Teaching courses for Physics Education students at Universidade Nacional Timor Lorosa’e (UNTL). Discovery Learning is a student-centered approach that encourages learners to construct their own understanding through experimental activities, while the teacher serves primarily as a facilitator. The purpose of this research is to determine whether this method can be easily understood and applied by students. This study employs a qualitative design with a case study approach. Data were collected through classroom observations and documentation analysis, then analyzed descriptively to identify patterns in student performance and teaching practices. The findings reveal that most students were able to design systematic lesson plans based on the Discovery Learning framework. However, a small number of students experienced difficulties in implementing the method sequentially during teaching practice. Despite these challenges, the use of simple and easily accessible materials proved that the method can be effectively applied in classroom settings. Overall, the study concludes that Discovery Learning is feasible and beneficial for Micro Teaching students, as it promotes deeper conceptual understanding, particularly in learning complex topics such as Newton’s Second Law

Abstract

This study aims to examine students’ understanding in solving questions presented in the additional questions section of the Grade 11 chemistry textbook, as well as to identify the distribution of questioning levels contained in that section. The research was conducted at a general secondary school, involving 52 Grade 11 science-track (TC) students as the research participants. Data were collected using multiple techniques and instruments, including documentation, observation, questionnaires, and interviews. The findings indicate that the cognitive questions in the additional questions section are predominantly categorized at the processing level, accounting for 53%. Based on the questionnaire analysis, students’ level of understanding of input-level questions is classified as high (61%), while their understanding of processing-level questions falls within the sufficient category (48%), and output-level questions are also categorized as sufficient (49%). Furthermore, from the 15 questions administered to the students, 5.8% of students demonstrated a lack of understanding in answering the questions, 76.9% provided neutral responses, and 17.3% showed adequate understanding in their answers. Overall, the results suggest that students’ level of understanding can be classified as sufficient. Interview findings further reveal that several factors contribute to this condition, including students’ tendency to forget the subject content, lack of note-taking, and limited concentration during learning. Therefore, it is recommended that teachers provide additional questions as part of daily exercises or homework to enhance students’ understanding and learning outcomes.
