Abstract

Hospital-based health promotion services (PKRS) can impact a hospital's image. Although not explicitly impacted, hospitals must take development steps to achieve optimal hospital-based health promotion services. The purpose of this study is to provide a reference for the implementation of PKRS at Sawahlunto Regional Hospital by analyzing existing problems and providing solutions, work plans, and monitoring and evaluation plans. This qualitative study used internal hospital document analysis, retrospective field observations, and critical reflection on the processes and obstacles encountered directly in implementing PKRS at Sawahlunto Regional Hospital. The results indicate that the implementation of hospital-based health promotion services at Sawahlunto Regional Hospital is still suboptimal because the person responsible for implementing PKRS has only recently been established under the name PKRS Unit, the PKRS work program is still limited, and internal problems exist, such as limited human resources, funding, and facilities and infrastructure. Based on this research, it is necessary to optimize PKRS supported by the leadership, owners, staff, and stakeholders in the hope of providing comprehensive health services to the community

Abstract

Textbooks function not only as learning resources but also as powerful instruments for transmitting social values and gender ideology to students from an early age. This study aims to critically examine gender bias in the visualization of social roles and the concept of Gotong Royong (mutual cooperation) as presented in elementary school textbooks. Employing a critical content analysis approach, the research analyzes visual representations found in Pancasila Education and Social Sciences textbooks used at the elementary level. The findings reveal a significant gender paradox embedded within textbook illustrations. Although Gotong Royong is promoted as a collective and inclusive cultural value, its visual portrayal tends to emphasize masculine leadership and dominance in public roles. Male figures are repeatedly depicted occupying strategic and authoritative positions such as flag bearers, police officers, doctors, and community leaders. In contrast, female figures are predominantly represented in domestic, supportive, or subordinate roles. This visual segregation contributes to the formation of a hidden curriculum that subtly reinforces gender inequality, restricts female students’ aspirations in the public sphere, and normalizes the stigma of women’s “double burden.” Therefore, this study underscores the urgency of reconstructing visual representations in independent curriculum textbooks to promote gender equality and foster inclusive educational values

Abstract

This research aims to develop a website-based tour package booking system to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the reservation process at “Ngetour” Organizer, which currently relies on conventional methods. At present, customers must place bookings through WhatsApp, and all reservation data are recorded manually by the admin. This approach is considered less efficient, particularly when the number of participants increases, as it is prone to human error, data duplication, and mismatched information. Such limitations may affect service quality and overall business performance. To address these issues, a web-based information system is designed to streamline the reservation process and support better business management. The system enables customers to browse tour packages, submit bookings, and complete payments more conveniently, while allowing administrators to manage orders and monitor transactions in a structured and organized manner. The development process applies the Rapid Application Development (RAD) methodology to ensure faster and more flexible system creation. The application is built using the PHP programming language with the CodeIgniter framework and MySQL database. Based on black box testing and User Experience Questionnaire (UEQ) evaluation, the system effectively improves booking management and user satisfaction

Abstract

The high rate of employee turnover has become a significant challenge for many companies, as it can disrupt operational stability and potentially reduce the morale and motivation of employees who remain. PT Sumber Masanda Jaya is a large manufacturing company operating in the sports footwear industry. The company produces various shoe models with world-class or international quality under the Nike brand. This study aims to analyze the effect of transformational leadership style, work environment, and employee well-being on employee turnover intention at PT Sumber Masanda Jaya, focusing on the assembling division of Building UP 1. The research employed a quantitative approach using multiple linear regression analysis on 94 respondents selected through convenience sampling. The results show that partially, transformational leadership does not have a significant effect on turnover intention. The work environment has a negative and significant effect, indicating that a conducive work environment can reduce employees’ intention to leave the company. Conversely, employee well-being has a positive and significant effect on turnover intention, suggesting that employees with higher levels of well-being may have a greater tendency to seek broader career opportunities. Simultaneously, the three independent variables significantly influence turnover intention. This study emphasizes the importance of organizations in creating a supportive work environment and understanding employee well-being dynamics to manage turnover risks more effectively.

Abstract

This study analyzes the mechanism of the European Union’s (EU) import restrictions on Crude Palm Oil (CPO) from Indonesia, implemented through the Renewable Energy Directive (RED) and the European Union Deforestation Regulation (EUDR). The main issue examined in this research is how the EU enforces non-tariff regulations affecting Indonesia’s CPO exports, particularly through environmental standards, sustainability certifications such as RSPO and ISPO, as well as due diligence and traceability systems. This study employs a qualitative descriptive method with a literature review approach, analyzing secondary data from journals, institutional reports, and relevant literature. The findings indicate that RED and EUDR policies have negatively impacted Indonesia’s palm oil sector, leading to a decline in exports to the EU, domestic oversupply causing a drop in fresh fruit bunch (FFB) prices, and significant economic consequences for small farmers. Furthermore, the strict implementation of environmental standards and certification requirements limits market access for Indonesian palm oil producers, particularly those lacking the technology and capital to meet EU requirements. This study highlights the importance of economic diplomacy strategies and technological innovations to maintain the competitiveness of Indonesian palm oil in the global market.

Abstract

This study was motivated by the prohibition of marriage in the Pela Gandong tradition between the Nurlatun and Lesnusa clans in Ohilahin Village, Buru Regency, Maluku. This tradition is based on an oath of brotherhood inherited from ancestors and is considered sacred, so that violations of it are believed to bring disaster. This study aims to understand the causes of the prohibition, the implementation of customary law against violators, and examine the views of Islamic law on the prohibition. The study used a qualitative method with a normative-empirical approach. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation. The results of the study indicate that: (1) the prohibition of marriage is based on an oath of peace due to the history of conflict between clans; (2) violations of the Pela Gandong tradition are resolved through customary deliberation and the imposition of social sanctions; and (3) Islamic law in principle does not prohibit inter-clan marriage if there is no mahram relationship, but espects local cultural values that are in line with the principles of brotherhood and social harmony

Abstract

This study aims to explore in depth the role of philosophy of science in understanding and responding to the dynamics of social change through conceptual interactions between epistemology, ontology, and axiology. Using qualitative methods and a philosophical-hermeneutic approach, this study examines classical and contemporary works of philosophy of science to reveal the meaning contained in the dialectic of these three dimensions. The results of the analysis show that epistemology functions as a foundation for acquiring and validating knowledge, ontology affirms that social reality is constructive and constantly undergoing reconstruction, while axiology provides direction for values and ethics so that knowledge does not lose its moral orientation. The interaction between epistemology, ontology, and axiology forms a dynamic dialectic resembling the Hegelian framework (thesis, antithesis, synthesis), resulting in a new understanding that is more reflective and transformative. This dialectic is an important foundation in formulating strategies for the development of science that are relevant to the needs of contemporary society. In addition to contributing theoretically to the enrichment of the study of the philosophy of science, this research also offers practical implications in the fields of education, public policy, and social development. Thus, the philosophy of science is not merely a theoretical reflection, but an intellectual compass that guides society to remain grounded in the integrity of knowledge, clarity of reality, and commitment to human values amid the tide of global transformation

Abstract

This research aims to determine the extent of the relationship between reading ability and mathematical communication skills among cadets at the Cirebon Maritime Academy. The method used in this study is a quantitative approach with a correlational research design. The sample consisted of 35 cadets majoring in nautical sciences who were selected as research participants. Data were collected through two different instruments, namely a reading ability test and a mathematical communication ability test, which were administered at separate times to avoid bias. The obtained data were then analyzed using a correlation formula to examine the relationship between the two variables. The results of the data analysis showed a correlation coefficient of 0.722. Based on the interpretation criteria of correlation coefficients, this value falls into the high category. These findings indicate a strong positive relationship between reading ability and mathematical communication skills, meaning that cadets with higher reading ability tend to demonstrate better mathematical communication skills

Abstract

Health services are a basic need guaranteed by the state, including legal protection for patients as part of human rights. Law No. 17 of 2023 on Health affirms patients’ rights to safe, high-quality, and non-discriminatory services, while requiring health facilities to conduct regular accreditation and provide effective complaint mechanisms. However, in practice, many patient rights violations still occur, especially in community health centers (puskesmas), due to limited resources, inadequate infrastructure, and low awareness among both patients and health workers. This study employs a normative-empirical legal method through interviews, observations, and literature review at Puskesmas Baqa, Samarinda. Findings show that Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) serve as guidelines for health workers and reflect preventive legal protection, though challenges remain such as heavy workloads, insufficient training, and limited facilities. Repressive protection is implemented through complaint mechanisms and accountability of health workers. The integration of Islamic values such as hifz al-nafs (protection of life), justice, trustworthiness, honesty, and compassion strengthens substantive legal protection, ensuring that it is not only based on compliance with regulations but also reflects ethics and humanity in health services. The study concludes that patient protection at Puskesmas Baqa aligns with Law No. 17 of 2023, but requires reinforcement through improved SOPs, facilities, training, and legal literacy

Abstract

From a sharia economic perspective, Indonesia, with its Muslim majority population, has great potential to develop a halal/sharia ecosystem that encompasses various sectors such as food, tourism, fashion, cosmetics, and finance. The sustainability of this ecosystem also has implications for the Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSME) sector. In the digital age, challenges include the low capacity of MSMEs in business management, financial reporting, technological limitations, and non-compliance with financial and Islamic standards. A total of 33 MSMEs have been able to upload financial data to the Lamikro application, read and analyze financial reports, and understand the concept of Islamic accounting. The objective of this activity is to assist in resolving these issues through mentoring and training for MSMEs in preparing financial reports using the Lamikro application. By using the Lamikro app to create financial reports, SMEs can manage and report their finances more effectively and efficiently, ensuring transparency and reliability, evaluate product performance, manage cash flow and liquidity more easily, and communicate with investors for Muslim Women's Warung SMEs in Cisaranten Kulon Village, Bandung City.
