Abstract

The process of mokal flour naturally still takes a relatively long time because the fermentation process lasts for 3 days. Therefore necessary to find a more effective and efficient solution to shorten the fermentation process. This study aimed to investigate the characteristics of the inoculum liquids based on some sources namely cassava chips liquid, cassava crushed liquid and tapioca liquid waste can accelerate fermentation mokal. The design of experiments using a completely randomized design (CRD) one factor, with 3 kinds of inoculum liquid sources as treatmants and 3 replicatations. The treatment sources are made from Markonah cassava variety, that named with cassava chips liquids (B1) cassava crused liquid (B2) and tapioca liquid waste. Duncan multiple range test (5%) used to compare the different of treatmen. The results showed the liquid source can be obtained from three sources, with good characteristics and the used of inoculm liquids on mokal fermentation process can accelerate the fermentation process from 3 days to 24 hours. The inoculum liquid can be saved on room temperature for 4 days and cold storage for 6 days

Abstract

Conditions of post coal mining areal which having losing of vegetation because of coal exploration usually have high soils acidity (pH < 5) and poor of organic matter and nutrient for plants to growing good. The mining company usually adding organic matter and planting forage legume to increase the organic matter of the soils. Objective of the research was to evaluate the growth of some forage legume that adapted on post coal mining soils dan the respone of organic matter added for post coal mining soils. Factorial Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with three replications were used in this experiment. The first factor was four kinds of forage legume, i.e. (L1 = Centrosema pubescens; L2 = Pueraria javanica; L3 = Calopogonium mucunoides; and L4 = Crotalaria juncea). The second factor was three kinds of plant medium (M0 = non post mining soil; M1 = post coal mining soil without organic matter added; and M2 = post coal mining soil with organic matter added (2% of organic carbon)). Collected data were analyzed by Analysis of Variance (ANOVA), followed by Least Significant Defference (LSD) at 5% level of sifnificant. The result of this experiment showed that application of organic matter on post coal mining soils increased the measured parameters (plant height, root lenght, leaf number, and root nodule number) of forage legume. According to the result of this experiment, concluded that Calopogonium mucunoides (L3) was more adapted on post coal mining soils than the other forage legumes, but Crotalaria juncea (L4) was more responsive for organic matter added.

Abstract

This information is result of institutional case study in the Tambakbulusan Vilage, Karangtengah of Demak Regency. This activity is carried out between the September - December 2013. Method used in this study is dikriptif analysis using primary data (indept interview and focused group discutions) and secondary data related to the title of this research. The results showed: 1) internal institutional factors consist of strength and weaknesses affecting to the fish farmers group on optimizing fish farming in ponds it’s : the human (Board & Members of the group), the aim of organization, management board, the use of capital, and services to members; 2) external factors, namely institutional opportunities and threats (threates) affect farmers trying : the socio-cultural organization formed by the government or private sector, banking, government regulation and legislation, homogeneity farmers, and availability of technology; 3) The activities that have been carried out to develop a business group in ponds that are monokulur or polyculture fish with shrimp (Vamame) and or seaweed (Gracillaria Sp.). The results of this study recommends that efforts to increase the utilization of the pond so that the optimization can increase the production and value of production of cultured fish takes effort to increase the role of the existing fish farmers to develop the strength group to suppress weakness, avoid threats and seize opportunities group.

Abstract

It is the research of effect of local Government facilitation to work the Cluster work’s productivity in Magelang city the innovative city of snacks cluster in Magelang city. Research problem: How is the state quality of the infrastructure. How big is the influence of the independent variables (Promotion, Training and tool Assistance) to the dependent variable of work productivity. The purpose of the research : To pigure out the picture og SME’s infrastructures quality and the level of the influence of independent variables to dependent variable. Expected significance: The results of the research will be used as input of the decision making. The location of the research Magelang city. The method of the research : The population is 240 KUB and sample: The is 40 persons. To determine the samples, simple random sampling method is used. Data analyzing method is inferential statistics model. Results: Conclusions for f count > f table (16.078> 2.87) so Ho is rejected, H altf. Is acceptable. It means there are significant ibfluenses of promotion, training and assistance and tool asintence altogether to the productivity of work. The development of human resources (HR). The improvement of human resources quality is done through, seminar and workshop, on the job training, and cooperative effort.

Abstract

The purpose of this study describes marketing communication strategy which perfomed by Kampoeng Batik Kauman and Government, then analyze about synergy communication between Kampoeng Batik Kauman and Government. This study used a descriptive case study method. This study used primary data are in-depth interviews, while the secondary data used document and online data. The technique used the validity of data triangulation source. This study used data analysis techniques, which were data reduction, the data display and conclusion drawing / verification. The results of this study indicate that Kampoeng Batik Kauman use advertising, sales promotion, special event, public relation, direct marketing, and personal selling to promote batik industry. The success of these activities effect on the level of consumers awareness about adventages, benefits, and product attributes of SME (Small and Medium Enterprises) Kampoeng Batik Kauman. Meanwhile Government use advertising, special event, and public relation to promote batik industry. The success of these activities effect on the level income of businessman and tourism development.

Abstract

Targets and outcomes of activities: members of KTT can know and be able to do beef feed management, at least 75% members to provide quality beef cattle feed through the implementation of technology Complete Silage. Evaluation showed that after activity and improved feed management: farmers have standardized requirements for beef cattle feed, farmers were able to formulate quality feed for cattle, ranchers understand feed technology (capable of making complete silage). The impact of these changes are: an increase in body weight gain and finally increased revenue. Conclusion activities can improve the knowledge, insight and skills of farmers in terms of food technology, management and production of beef cattle feed.

Abstract

Magelang’s snacks cluster, “Karya Boga”, are still experiencing so many obstacles in marketing the products. The members mostly sell the product individually by offering and delivering the products directly to the customers. Therefore, the sales areas are limited, hence, the product is not known in larger scales. One of sales methods can be used to overcome this problem is on-line sales in the form of e-commerce. Nevertheless, not many cluster members know e-commerce, so that it takes a research to figure out the members’ levels of understanding and motivation on e-commerce use. After the members’ levels of understanding and motivation on e-commerce use are figured out, the next step is designing the sales system of the cluster’s product by using e-commerce. The result of the research shows that the members’ level of understanding or the level of e-commerce adoption is medium, and the variation is low. This is caused by the limited number of human resources who are able to use IT. Nevertheless, they are highly motivated in applying IT to sell their products. The motivation is there because of the members’ wish to seek new customers and to raise their income. Next, e-commerce is designed by using Content Management System (OMS) prestashop.

Abstract

Political reform affects a lot of changes in the socio-political life of society, both in the political understanding and implementation. This study aims to understand how the understanding and implementation of democracy in Central Java at this time. The study used a descriptive approach to the analysis, and involves about 500 informants in Central Java. The conclusion of this study is that the substance of democracy and its implementation in the community is experiencing a change for a new form, where there is a clash of democratic values which sided constructive and destructive. Democracy constructively interpreted by structuring the system of government, social and political systems, the creation of an atmosphere of equality, freedom of togetherness and involvement of people in decision-making, the use of political procedures that allow broad participation. Democracy forms of destructive behavior such intervention against state institutions, violate the rights of others, and are not tolerant of differences

Abstract

The experiment was aimed to examine the levels that can produce the best starter lactic acid bacteria (LAB)by a potential value of hydrogen ( pH ) acid. The materials were cabbage, mustard, molasses, salt, pollard, functional starter, distilled water, feed mill waste, plastic, electric scales, grand moisture tester, oven, thermometer, drying cabinets, pH meter, measuring cup, beaker glass and trays. The experiment used a completely randomized design (CRD) is 4 treatments with 4 replications.The experiment were used 0, 1, 2 and 3 % starter levels. The parameters werethe potential value of Hydrogen (pH) and total lactic acid bacteria (LAB). The result was showed thatthere was pH decrease of the fermented feed by using functional starter although not significant. The pH decrease caused by lactic acid of production microorganisms, including lactic acid bacteria and Saccharomyces cereviceae in extract vegetable waste fermentation (ELSF) and gram positive bacteria. Based on laboratory analysis did not find any lactic acid bacteria but found a Saccharomyces cereviceae and gram positive bacteriawhich produceed the lactic acid. This was due to the drying process is too long with the high temperatures resulting in BAL could not live, while Saccharomycescereviceae alive because it was more tolerant to high temperatures.

Abstract

Synthetic dyes are very practical to use and can lead to striking color on a colored product. This makes the synthetic dyes are often used in the food and beverage, pharmaceutical and textile. But the waste or residues of synthetic dyes can contaminate the environment than the use of synthetic dyes is often abused, such as the use of non synthetic food dyes in food products, thereby causing harm to consumers. Thus the natural dyes began to be reconsidered for use. Drawbacks of natural dyes extracted the natural dye is a liquid so it is not practical for long-term use. Dye is form in a liquid extract is dried into a powder by using a spray dryer. Extract natural dyes from kesumba seeds, mahogany bark and secang wood in this final assignment dried using a spray dryer that has been modified. In a spray dryer using a nozzle extracts scattered granules form small particles, granules - granules of small particles are contacted directly by the hot air that will be formed powder. Spray dryer consists of three main tools nozzle, dryer tank and cyclone. Nozzle is used to extract the dye waste so as to form granules of small particles. Tank made ​​of stainless steel dryer that has a diameter of 14 cm, height 94 cm, the maximum volume of 16 liter and 13 liter effective volume. Cyclone acts as a filter / separator between the dye powders with gaseous reaction products has a diameter of 16 cm and 64 cm high. Other support tools in the form of a compressor, blow dryer, and heater. Extract of mahogany and secang dye is obtained by solvent extraction to extract the water while the dye solvent kesumba extracted with 0.25% NaOH solution. Operation of the spray dryer by using semi-continuous system, with a continuous drying process in the tank while the bait into a maximum of 25 ml for each process with the average feed rate 0.13 ml / sec, can work well and can result in dye powder. Feed into the drying temperature to extract mahogany between 90-100 ° C, whereas for the extract of secang and kesumba between 100-110 ° C. This dye powder can then be used for dyeing textiles for dyeing cloth is batik.
