Abstract

Food is an essential human need. Local food resources, as variations in food consumption society, has been displaced by the food pattern of rice and wheat. This challenge, which requires innovation and transformation of the physical form of local food to be liked by the community and value-added food technology process. This study describes the management of the local food chain from upstream - downstream. The result, that the number of farms in Temanggung Regency, declined 9,05% during 2003-2013. Influence on output, the decline in cattle population is 33,59%. The potential of local food resources are corn, potatoes and cassava. Marketing, slash sold at harvest, because of the practical. A small portion is used as a raw material by the snack food industry domestic industry. Type snack food industry locally grown is cassava chips (most, 17 locations), and a banana chips / taro chips. Marketing is done by a small proportion of women farmer group members, which is deposited on the stalls / shops, restaurants and outlets instistusi cooperative government. Promotion is done through exhibitions in various cities. Models utilization of local food resources, can not be separated from the role of chairman of the entrepreneurial group. While members of the group as a support in the production and marketing process. Value chain and the policies that need to be prepared : the provision of quality seeds of local food as a source of raw materials by agricultural institutions, food processing technology by industry and academia, capital by cooperatives, promotion and marketing by the field of trade.

Abstract

The aims of this research are describing the fisherwomen empowerment model and the supporting factors and the obstacles of the fisherwomen empowerment model in Morodemak Village-Demak Regency. From the research can be concluded that the fisherwomen in Puspita Bahari Morodemak village is the model of exploring business which is the final step of fisherwomen empowering through intregrated and effective technology implementation. The factors which enhance those models are the supports not only from the government but also from the private institusion and the society. There are some factors which slowen down them, the obstacle of having organization (materialistic and cultural obstacles, cultural patriarcy, and cultural inferiority). Morever the obstacles also can be found in the management (such as limited infrastructure machines, slicer, stoves, freezer and included the kitchen utensils and there is no production place), products distribution, and the unreachable price of the raw material for the production and the unpredictable fish whish is caught by the fishermen can be the most dangerous factors. In order to overcome those obstacles, there must be ways to help the fisherwomen in organization, improving their knowledge through training. The training can improve their knowledge in pre- production and post production in order to improve the quality of the products and can be accepted by many customers. Morever, the group of the fisherswomen needs to be given more capital, infrastructure, to run the business.

Abstract

In 2011 Human Development Index ranking (Human Development Index) Indonesia dropped in position 69 of 127 countries drop out rate in Central Java at primary level is quite high. A total of 527 850 children or 1.7% of the 31.05 million children drop out of school each year. The decline in the composite index of education, as the pressures of poverty causes poor families are forced to sacrifice the continuity of children's education. Spread the dropout rate for elementary education / MI RPJMD is already close to the target of 0.12% by 2013. But there are still quite high at 501 for cilacap District, 542 Brebes and Tegal 499. For MI SD is relatively small compared Cilacap, 34, 130 and Bradford counties Tegal 54 As for the education level of SMP / MTS Cilacap, 290 Brebes Tegal 612 and 643. While MTS Cilacap, 118 districts Brebes and Tegal 109 and 125 (source Disdik Prov). Based on field data, the number of school dropouts is much higher. Causes of school children is because children from poor kelauarga generally forced to work to help their parents, both in the domestic activities of the household and for public sector jobs that generate income: Child labor is treated as a substitute bp / mother, their time is taken engage in productive and domestic activities. The main zoning model of community involvement in the school (PKBM, SATAP) realistic enough to be developed, and the involvement of the Board of Education committee on the level needs to be increased role dikembangkn upt ill and confined to the Division of alternative management and financing of education in the treatment of ATS. Recommendations that can be delivered is through the handling model school children should learn from empirical conditions in these areas, through revitalization, facilitation (1) Community Learning Center Group (PKBM) in certain areas (2) SATAP for junior high school particularly isolated areas. Providing PKBM for children out of school and out of school is very helpful for those who can not afford the time and willingness. As happened in the village PKBM Malahayu unatuk pastoralist cattle, goats; PKBM in Nusawungu and PKBM in Pangkah, Kedungreja; Socialization Program Fair 9-year improved. While also optimizing the role of the Board of Education, the School Committee Level Forum Communications Unit and the School Committee Joint Education Unit Level SKPD not limited to education alone.

Abstract

The research purposes are to analyze the performance of Coastal Community Economic Empowerment Program and to analyze the strategy of coastal community economic empowerment that appropriate to the need of coastal community. The research locus are Batang Regency and Pati Regency. Batang regency is the location of Coastal Community Economic Empowerment Program Implementation namely Coastal Women Empowerment Program, while Pati regency as the location of Salt Farmers Empowerment. The research result show that the performance of Coastal Economic Empowerment Program in Central Java Province were assessed as good and appropriate to the need of coastal community, although part of the program were assessed not really appropriate to the need of coastal community. Only few of local government had budget allocation for coastal community economic empowerment assistance program. The foward strategy of coastal community economic empowerment program are to dig the community’s real need, to socialize that it’s need of community awareness to be empower, to do training, to facilitate market acces and bussiness facilities, and to assist the empowerment program by local government.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui saluran pemasaran, margin pemasaran, dan efisiensi pemasaran dalam pemasaran susu segar di Kecamatan Banyumanik, Kecamatan Getasan dan Kecamatan Cepogo. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode survei. Penentuan sampel responden dilakukan dengan metode Simple Random Sampling. Total responden yang diambil adalah 240 orang. Data yang digunakan data primer dan sekunder yang diambil pada tahun 2013. Dari hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan ada dua pola pemasaran susu segar yaitu saluran I: peternak, loper, KUD. Saluran II: peternak, KUD. Margin pemasaran pada Kecamatan Banyumanik sebesar Rp. 446/lt, Kecamatan Getasan Rp. 612/lt dan Kecamatan Cepogo Rp. 584/lt. Bagian yang diterima peternak (farmer’s share) pada Kecamatan Banyumanik sebesar 85,69%, Kecamatan Getasan sebesar 82,57%, dan Kecamatan Cepogo sebesar 82,80%.

Abstract

Tumbu sugar has been known by Indonesian people as one of sweetening for foods and beverages that can be substitute of sugar. That is what a potential of tumbu sugar processing business need to be analyzed and the formulation of strategies in its development efforts. The purpose of this study were: 1) to analyze the condition of tumbu sugar processing business, covering aspects of production, financial aspects and marketing aspects; 2) formulate a viable alternative strategy applied; 3) determine the priority strategies in the development of agro-industrial processing of tumbu sugar in District Kudus. This research was descriptive quantitative survey approach. The research location is in district of Kudus covers three sub-districts (Sub-District Dawe, Sub-District Bae, and Sub-District Gebog). Subjects in this study include the main actors of tumbi sugar producers, traders, government agencies and academia. The collection of data through observation, interviews, questionnaires and FGD (Focus Group Discussion). Data analysis using using descriptive analysis, financial analysis and marketing analysis, SWOT analysis (Strength, Weakness, Opportunity, Threat) to formulate the steps of strategy and analysis AHP (Analytical Hierarchy Process) for the determination of strategic priorities in the development of tumbi sugar agroindustrial, with tools Expert Choice program.The results showed that the value analysis of the financial aspects of the R/C ratio is 1.88 ; B / C ratio is 0.88 and an IRR is 36 %. Analysis of the marketing aspects of the farmer's share values ​​obtained low of 75.8 % and the highest value of marketing efficiency of 17.49 % . SWOT analysis obtained tumbu sugar agro-industry position is in quadrant I. AHP analysis obtained by the alternative strategy of product development innovation and product diversification.Based on the Results of the research concluded that the production aspects of the tumbu sugar agro-industry businesses in Kudus regency still scale households by family labor management through a process that is still simple, but remains open investment opportunities with marketing channels already running efficiently. The alternative strategy that is feasible in the tumbu sugar agro-industry development in District Jepara is a S-O strategy that supports the aggressive growth by prioritizing the development of innovative products or product diversification.

Abstract

The business of Nglumut’s Salak in Magelang district have significant value to increase the security of population, and the expansion of Nglunut’s Salak agribusiness is very productive. In an effort to increase the production and the quality of fruit in sufficient quantity and safe to eat and are produced with observe the environmental sustainability, then require of reflection as the basic of policy with real action. Therefore the expansion strategy of Nglumut’s Salak agribusiness have reach must be aadapted to the characteristics and problems of the agribusiness concerned. The expansion strategy of Nglumut’s Salak is certified “Prima 3” will be able to keep the competitiveness and the existence of the business. This study was aimed to determine a) sub system agribusiness of Salak Nglumut Prime 3 Certified in Magelang Regency b) the priority of agribusiness development strategy of Salak Nglumut Prime 3 Certified in Magelang Regency. This study was conducted in Kamongan, Kaliurang, Nglumut Kradenan village in Srumbung Sub Districts. The research was conducted from Aprill to June 2015. Respondents as key persons consisted of 30 respondent that were taken purposively. Method of data analysis used in this study was alternative strategy priority was analyzed by using AHP (Analytical Hierarchy Process) with expert choice program. Based on AHP analysis, The three main priorities of agribusiness development strategy of Salak Nglumut is as follows: 1) improvement of product quality, 2) business development, 3) strengthening of the market. Alternative priority strategies of agribusiness development of Salak Nglumut Prime 3 Certified is 1) Application of product standardization (uniformity of quality and size salak 2) The certification and product labeling; 3) cultivation technology and management efforts are directed using good farming guidelines (Good Agricultural Practice) towards Prime 3 certified product; 4) Optimization of post-harvest handling; 5) To promote cooperation and improve the business partners; 6) Institutional development; 7) promotion and social networking; 8) The orientation of the export market.

Abstract

This research aims to define internal and external strategic factors, determine the component decisive strategic success and determine priority community assessment strategy related to the means of production which became one of the main needs of farmers Development in Demak. Research was done by the method of Purposive sampling.Collection of information using a questionnaire respondents, Focus Group Discussion (FGD) and in-depth interviews with key person. The purpose of the first and second study analyzed using SWOT (Strength Weakness-Opportunity-Threat) and the third goal is analyzed using AHP (Analitycal Herarchy Process). Based on the results of the SWOT analysis, weighting the interaction of internal and external factors obtained alternative strategy options with highest weights on a combination of Strength-Opportunity Strategies (SO). AHP analysis on starting with the preparation of model AHP hierarchy with the goal hierarchy “subsidized Fertilizer Strategy Analysis to the Farmers” is on a Level 1 assessment criteria is an alternative approach to the planning of the results of the Focus Group Discussion (FGD); Level 2 is the Alternative criteria for Subsidized Fertilizer Strategy Direction up to the farmers Development in Demak is SWOT Analysis Results SO.

Abstract

The general purpose of research was to improve the quality of science learning in IVA grade of Sampangan 02 Elementary School, Semarang. The specific purpose of research was to improve the teacher skill, students activities, and students learning outcome of science learning with contextual teaching and learning models using environment. Classroom Action Research was conducted in 3 cycles. The subjects of the research were teacher and IVA grade students of Sampangan 02 Elementary School, Semarang. Teacher skills in cycle I got a score of 24 with fair category. The second cycle got a total score of 29 with good category. The third cycle got a total score of 36 with the very good category. Students activity in cycle I got average score of 27 with good category. The second cycle got everage score 0f 29.9 with good category. The third cycle was 33.4 with very good category. Results of classical study was 78.57% in the first cycle. The second cycle was 88.1%. The third cycle increased to 100%. The conclusion of the study was the teacher skills, students activities, and students learning outcomes increased.

Abstract

Zakat, infaq, and sadaqah (ZIS) potency is very large in Central Java as the instruments for reducing poverty and improving the community welfare. This study aims to assess the effectiveness of management ZIS as optimal as posible, so can give significant contribution to poverty reduction and welfare improvement. The law No. 23 of 2011 concerning the management of zakat has given a very strong legal foundation in the management of zakat, by collecting, distributing, and accountability. The unit of analysis in this study is Bazda in Central Java Province. The sample take from four districts/cities: Semarang city, Jepara regency, Demak regency, and the regency of Semarang. While the respondents were administrators Bazda, muzzaki, and mustahik in four regency/cities. The results showed that all Bazda (Semarang, Semarang regency, Demak, dan Jepara) already have data on muzzaki and mustahik, but does not have a data base mustahik and muzakis completely, so it can not be done for mapping the distribution of ZIS effectively and efficiently. The condition of the building, infrastructure and operational funds sourced budget has not been able to support the operations and performance of the collection, distributor and reporting effectively and efficiently. Distribution and utilization of ZIS dominated by the fulfillment of consumer needs and its focused on the areas of health, education and social empowerment, but for productive business activities still relative small, so it requires a paradigm shift in the management of the ZIS to make mustahik be muzzaki. Reporting and accountability system so far has been done transparent and accountable through a written report to the District / City Government and Parliament, but some Bazda not convey to mustahik in detail, both in book report and through the WEB. Only Jepara regency that has reporting system complete, organized, detailed and printed in book report to be sent to the regency government, parliament, muzakis, and the other institution. To realize effectiveness, BAZDA must have data based of muzzaki and mustahiq, and support by representative office, so the amil can do better. Coordination function must be develop with regional government, state ownership corporate, and private corporate to ensure of increase revenue of BAZDA, and to ensure amount of muzzaki.
