Abstract

Baby blues is an emotional disorder that often occurs in postpartum mothers and can affect the mother's health and the baby's growth and development. Maternal knowledge, social support and family support are thought to play a role in the incidence of baby blues. This research used a quantitative design with a cross sectional approach on 51 postpartum mothers in the Sugih Waras OKI Community Health Center working area in 2025 who were selected using a total sampling technique. Research instruments include questionnaires on maternal knowledge, social support, family support, and the Edinburgh Postnatal Depression Scale (EPDS). Data analysis was carried out univariately and bivariately using the chi-square test (α = 0.05). The prevalence of baby blues was 51.0% (26 respondents). The results of the analysis showed that there was no relationship between maternal knowledge and the incidence of baby blues (p = 0.706), while social support (p = 0.004) and family support (p = 0.003) were significantly related. Mothers with less social support and family support have a higher proportion of baby blues incidents. The prevalence of baby blues in the Sugih Waras OKI Community Health Center working area is relatively high, with social support and family support being significantly related, while maternal knowledge does not show a significant relationship

Abstract

Patient satisfaction is an essential indicator for assessing healthcare service quality, particularly in primary healthcare facilities such as Community Health Centers (Puskesmas). Waiting time or service response time is considered a critical factor influencing patients’ perceptions of service quality. This study aimed to examine the relationship between response time and patient satisfaction. A quantitative correlational study with a cross-sectional design was conducted. A total of 216 respondents were selected using purposive sampling. Response time was measured using a stopwatch, and patient satisfaction was assessed using a SERVQUAL-based questionnaire. Data were analyzed using the Chi-square test. The results indicated a statistically significant relationship between response time and patient satisfaction (p < 0.001). More than half of the respondents experienced response times exceeding the service standard (>60 minutes) (53.7%), while 46.3% received services within the standard time. Regarding satisfaction levels, 53.2% of respondents reported dissatisfaction, whereas 46.8% were satisfied. The findings suggest that shorter response times are associated with higher patient satisfaction. Therefore, optimizing service workflows and improving waiting time efficiency are recommended to enhance service quality in primary healthcare settings. Future research should incorporate additional factors, including healthcare providers’ communication quality and patients’ expectations, to provide a more comprehensive analysis

Abstract

The leading causes of maternal death are hemorrhage, preeclampsia, infection, and childbirth complications. Non-compliance with antenatal care (ANC) visits is a serious problem because it directly impacts the ability of healthcare workers to detect obstetric complications early. In Indonesia, pregnant women are still found to be late or not attending ANC regularly, preventing potential complications from being managed promptly and appropriately. The purpose of this study was to determine the factors associated with pregnant women's compliance with ANC examinations. The method used was a scoping review. Using a framework with the steps of identifying the review focus, developing the review focus and search strategy, identifying relevant studies, mapping data using PRISMA, extracting by compiling, summarizing, and reporting the results and discussion. The results of the scoping review after the PRISMA process obtained 10 articles (the initial number of articles was 2,811) with grade A (critical appraisal) selected using quantitative methods. The themes identified were individual factors, including knowledge, age, attitudes, education, employment status, and parity. Support factors included husband's support. Health service factors included access or distance, and midwives. By understanding these factors, policymakers and health practitioners can develop targeted interventions to encourage pregnant women to attend regular ANC check-ups, ultimately maximizing maternal and child health

Abstract

Safety and health education in the laboratory is critical because laboratories are high-risk environments that can increase the incidence of workplace accidents. Problems arise when students' knowledge and self-awareness are lacking, including exposure to sharp objects such as syringes, bodily fluids, and pathogens, as well as ignorance of reporting work accidents and the risk of injury. The purpose of this study is to analyze the relationship between the level of knowledge and self-awareness of nursing students and OSHA practices in the nursing laboratory of Awal Bros University. This study uses a quantitative approach with a cross-sectional design. The sample in this study consisted of 167 nursing students selected through a total sampling technique. Data were collected using a questionnaire that included variables of knowledge, self-awareness, and OSHA practices, and then analyzed using Chi-Square tests. The research results show that 64.1% of respondents have good OHS knowledge, 48.5% have high self-awareness, and 64.7% practice OHS well. The statistical test results found that there was a significant relationship between knowledge and occupational safety and health practices (p-value = 0.000) as well as self-awareness and OSH practices (p-value = 0.000). In conclusion, there is a significant positive relationship between nursing students' knowledge and self-awareness with OHS practices in the laboratory. Therefore, it is recommended that future researchers reach out to other, more diverse institutions and consider other variables, such as practical experience, that may influence students' knowledge and self-awareness. In addition, qualitative or mixed research methods can be used to explore student behavior in implementing OHS.
