Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada materi persamaan dan pertidaksamaan linier  nilai mutlak satu variabel. Hasil belajar matematika siswa tentang persamaan dan pertidaksamaan linier nilai mutlak satu variabel masih tergolong renda. Untuk mengatasi masalah tersebut, peneliti mencoba menerapkan model pembelajaran problem posing tipe pre solution posing. Model pembelajaran problem posing tipe pre solution posing menuntut siswa untuk membuat pertanyaan dimana pertanyaan tersebut dijawab sendiri oleh siswa, pertanyaan dibuat berdasarkan pertanyaan dari guru. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas yang dilaksanakan dalam tiga siklus. Setiap siklus terdiri dari empat tahapan yaitu perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi dan refleksi. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SMAN 7 Kota Bengkulu dengan subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas X.MIA.2. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah observasi dan tes hasil belajar. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah lembar observasi dan soal tes. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diketahui bahwa hasil belajar siswa kelas X.MIA.2 di SMA N 7 Kota Bengkulu mengalami peningkatan dengan penerapan model problem posing tipe pre solution posing. Peningkatan hasil belajar matematika siswa dapat dilihat berdasarkan hasil tes akhir tiap siklus nilai rata-rata pada siklus I adalah 71,77 dengan ketuntasan belajar klasikal 43,33%, pada siklus II meningkat menjadi 76,64 dengan ketuntasan belajar klasikal 60,61 %, dan pada siklus III meningkat menjadi 83,24 dengan ketuntasan belajar klasikal 82,35%.Kata kunci: problem posing, pre solution posing

Abstract

ABSTRAKThis research is an experimental research, while the problem formulation in this study is the Problem Posing learning model is effective against the results of learning straight line equation material in class VIII of SMP Negeri 3 Pagaralam. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the Problem Posing model for student learning outcomes in the material of Straight Line Equations in Class VIII of SMP Negeri 3 agaralam, with a sample of students including 21 experimental class students and 21 control class students, to measure student mathematics learning outcomes in research This is a written test in the form of essays which amounts to 5 questions. The hypothesis of this research is that the Problem Posing learning model is effective on the learning outcomes of straight-line equations in class VIII of SMP Negeri 3 Pagaralam. The results of students' mathematical test data with the Problem Posing learning model obtained an average of 70.5 and the average mathematics learning outcomes of students not with the Problem posing model of 65.08. By using the t-test statistical formula, we obtained a tcount of 3.50 and a table price of 1.725 with a significance level of 5%. So it can be concluded that the hypothesis formulated by researchers proved to be accepted, namely the Effective Problem Posing learning model for solving straight line equation problems in class VIII of SMP Negeri 3 Pagaralam. Keywords: Problem Posing learning model, Student Learning

Abstract

This study aims to find out the significant differences between students' mathematical understanding abilities that are taught using the Cooperative Learning Model type Auditory Intellectualy Receptition (AIR), Numbered Heads Together (NHT), and conventional learning models, and which learning model gives better results to improve students' mathematical understanding abilities. This type of research is quasi-experimental. The population in this study was class VIII 27 of Seluma State Junior High School consisting of 4 classes. The sample of this study was chosen 3 classes randomly, namely class VIII A as the experimental class I using the Cooperative learning model type Auditory Intellectualy Receptition (AIR), class VIII B as the experimental class II using the cooperative learning model type Numbered Heads Together (NHT), and Class VIII C as a control class using conventional learning models. Data collection on student mathematics learning outcomes in the form of tests consisting of pre-test and post-test. Data were analyzed using ANAVA and BNT. Based on ANAVA results, there are differences between students' mathematics learning outcomes in experimental class I, experimental class II, and control class. Based on the LSD test it was found that the treatment between the experimental class I with the experimental class II, the experimental class I with the control class, and the experimental class II with the control class there were differences. Auditory IntellectualyReceptition (AIR) cooperative learning model provides better results than the Numbered Heads Together (NHT) type of cooperative learning model and Conventional learning model.Keywords: mathematical understanding ability,  AIR,  NHT, learning model

Abstract

This study aims to determine: (1) How does the use of contextual learning approach to creative thinking ability of students? (2) How does the use of contextual learning approach to mathematics connection ability of students? (3) How different the influence of contextual learning approach with conventional learning on students' ability to think creatively? (4) How do the differences influence of contextual learning approach with conventional learning on mathematics connection ability of students? This research is quantitative research with experimental methods in the form of pure experimental types. The population in this study were all eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 3 Lubuklinggau South Sumatra Province. The number of samples to be used in this research in experimental class 28 and class 29 controls. This study is a pure experiment using a pretest-posttest control group. In this study, the data collection method used is the technique of testing. From the analysis it can be concluded that: (1) There is a significant influence of contextual learning on students' ability to think creatively mathematics. (2) There is a significant influence of contextual learning on mathematics connection ability of students. (3) There is a significant difference in the effect of contextual learning with conventional learning on students' ability to think creatively mathematics. (4) There is a significant difference in the effect of contextual learning with conventional learning on mathematics connection ability of students. From this research, the authors recommend the need for an alternative approach to the selection of appropriate learning to improve the ability of creative thinking and the ability to connect mathematics to be applied, also the importance of pretest and posttest during the process of learning mathematics. Keywords   : Contextual, Creative Thinking Mathematics, Mathematical Connections

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to compare the results of reliability estimation for multiple choice test instrument with data derived from simple random sampling and stratified random sampling using KR-20 formula and Considering one of disadvantages of a multiple choice instrument is  guessing factor, this studi also estimatie reliability by using probability guessing formula as well. The study use quantitative descriptive method,with one way analisys of variance. Data Population is mathematics test results of 69.193 12th grade students fromall over jakarta senior high school wich secondary obtained from BNSP. The results of this study show that, on the same sampling technique,indicates that probability guessing formula estimation are higher compare to KR-20 formula. In terms of  estimate reliability with same formula and data derived from different sampling method, indicate  even by KR-20 formula or probability guessing formula, estimation of reliability will  higher by data derived from simple random sampling Keywords: KR-20 formula, probability guessing formula, sampling technique, simple random sampling, stratified random sampling

Abstract

This study aims to determine whether there is no increase in problem solving skills through the Creative Problem Solving (CPS) learning model for Grade VIII students of SMP Negeri 7 Palembang. This experimental research uses One Groups Pretest-Posttest Design, with a population of 324 students of Palembang 7 Junior High School students and a sample of 27 students taken by cluster sampling technique, which is an experimental class that is treated with Creative Problem Solving (CPS) learning model. The variables measured in this study were improvement in problem solving ability and treatment variables, namely Creative Problem Solving Learning Model (CPS). The subjects in this study were class  and used descriptive research methods. Data collection techniques using the test. The analysis technique used in this study is the N-Gain Test. Based on the results of the analysis of the N-Gain test data the initial test (pretest) and the final test (posttest) obtained a gain index of 0.62 with moderate interpretation with an average pretest value of 30.9 and an average posttest value of 72.6. These results indicate that there is an increase in problem solving skills through the Creative Problem Solving (CPS) learning model for VIII grade students of SMP Negeri 7 Palembang.Keywords: Problem Solving Ability, Creative Problem Solving (CPS) Learning Model.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penerapan model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing  terhadap kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis siswa kelas VIII MTs Al Islam Petalabumi.Adapun jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian Quasi Eksperimen. Rancangan penelitian yang digunakan adalah Randomized Subjects Posttest Only Control Group Design. Teknik pengambilan sampel adalah teknik purposive sampling.Instrument dalam penelitian ini berupa tes kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis siswa. Teknik analisis data dalam pengujian ini menggunakan uji Independent Samples T-Test (Uji t). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian pengujian hipotesis terhadap kedua kelas sampel di peroleh nilai P-value lebih kecil dari a, yaitu 0,000 0,05. Artinya  bahwa H0 ditolak dan Ha diterima. Dengan demikian  kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis siswa dengan penerapan model pembelajaran lebih baik dari pada kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis siswa terhadap model pembelajaran konvensional.Kata Kunci :pemahaman Konsep, inkuiri terbimbing

Abstract

ABSTRACTMathematics has a base object which includes ideas, facts, concepts, principles, and skills with one of the main characteristics of logical reasoning. Many students who have difficulty in math, because it requires high mental activity, also claims success in learning mathematics which also determines the continuation of studies at a higher level to make the most of students anxious face of mathematics. This anxiety becomes an important factor to be studied. This study was to determine the relationship of anxiety in mathematics to students' mathematical connection capabilities. Data processed by correlation, the results showed that there was a negative correlation study mathematics anxiety on students' mathematical connection capabilities.Keywords: Anxiety Mathematics, Mathematical Connections

Abstract

This study aims to look at the effect and interactions that occur between teaching materials by wingeom and early mathematics abilities on student’ mathematical understanding skills. This type of research is quasi-experimental researh. The population in this study were students class VIII of MTsN Danau Kerinci which numberrer 5  classes. The sample was selected using simple random sampling techniques, there was class VIIIA as the experimental class and class VIIIB as the control class. The research design used was the posttest only control group design. During the research, the experimental class was treated with learning  by wingeom teaching material, while the control class was treated with conventional learning. The technique of collecting data through a test of mathematical understanding skills was anilyzed using two-way ANOVA. The result are (1) there is a difference between students’ mathematical understanding ability base on the teaching materials, Fcount=4,982 Fα=4,12   (2) there isa difference between students’ mathematical understanding ability viewed from early mathematics ability (high, medium, an low categories),  Fhitung=29,315 Fα=3,27 (3) an interaction between the teaching materials and the student categories with early mathematics ability, Fhitung=-0,4 Fα=3,27Keywords : Mathematical Understanding Ability, Teaching materials by wingeom, Early Mathematics Ability

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui learning obstacle terkait konsep kombinasi pada pembelajaran disekolah menengah atas. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskripsi dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Untuk mengidentifikasi learning obstacle pada konsep kombinasi ini menggunakan tes kemampuan responden terdiri dari lima buah soal essay yang mengacu pada indikator pemahaman konsep. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah Siswa SMAN 1 Lebong Utara berjumlah 35 siswa dan mahasiswa FKIP matematika UMB berjumlah 14 orang. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa terdapat empat tipe learning obstacle, yaitu : tipe 1 adalah learning obstacle terkait konsep kombinasi, tipe 2 adalah learning obstacle  terkait concept image pada kombinasi, tipe 3 adalah learning obstacle  terkait variasi informasi yang tersedia pada soal, tipe 4 adalah learning obstacle terkait dalam penyelesaian soal pemecahan masalah pada kombinasi.Kata kunci : laerning obstacle, kombinasi,  matematika.
