Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi digital telah mengubah sektor pertanian secara mendasar melalui sistem pertanian presisi yang menggabungkan teknologi informasi, sensor, Internet of Things, penginderaan jauh, kecerdasan buatan, dan pembelajaran mesin ke dalam kegiatan pertanian. Pendekatan ini menjadi strategi utama untuk meningkatkan produktivitas sekaligus efisiensi penggunaan input produksi seperti air, pupuk, pestisida, tenaga kerja, dan energi. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengevaluasi penerapan teknologi pertanian presisi dalam meningkatkan efisiensi penggunaan input dan hasil panen dalam konteks pertanian modern dan berkelanjutan. Metode yang digunakan adalah kualitatif melalui tinjauan pustaka, dengan menganalisis berbagai publikasi ilmiah, jurnal, dan penelitian terkini terkait topik ini. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa pertanian presisi memberikan kontribusi besar terhadap efisiensi melalui sistem manajemen berbasis data, pemantauan langsung, dan pengambilan keputusan otomatis. Teknologi seperti perangkat terhubung, penginderaan jauh, pesawat tanpa awak, pembelajaran mesin, dan sistem irigasi cerdas memungkinkan petani menyesuaikan penggunaan input sesuai kebutuhan tanaman dan kondisi lingkungan. Penerapan ini juga meningkatkan produktivitas, menurunkan biaya operasional, mengurangi pemborosan sumber daya, dan mendukung praktik ramah lingkungan. Namun, adopsinya masih terhambat oleh keterbatasan pengetahuan digital, biaya investasi tinggi, infrastruktur belum memadai, dan akses yang tidak merata di wilayah berkembang. Disimpulkan bahwa pertanian presisi memiliki potensi besar mendukung pertanian 4.0 dan 5.0. Diperlukan kerja sama pemerintah, lembaga pendidikan, penyedia teknologi, dan komunitas tani untuk memperkuat transformasi ini serta mendorong pembangunan pertanian berkelanjutan.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the interaction and effects of growing media composition and composting duration of Australian pine (Casuarina equisetifolia L.) leaf waste on the growth and yield of red lettuce (Lactuca sativa L. var. Red Rapid), as well as to evaluate the potential use of Australian pine leaf waste as an alternative compost material. The experiment was arranged in a factorial Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD) with two factors: growing media composition (K0 = 2:1:0, K1 = 2:1:1, K2 = 2:1:2, and K3 = 2:1:3) and composting duration (L1 = 14 days, L2 = 28 days, and L3 = 42 days). A total of 12 treatment combinations were replicated three times, resulting in 36 experimental units. The results showed that there was no significant interaction between the two factors, and the growing media composition had no significant effect on any of the observed parameters. In contrast, composting duration had significant to highly significant effects on plant height, number of leaves, canopy width, fresh weight, and yield per experimental unit. The 42-day composting treatment produced the highest fresh weight (72.05 g) and yield per experimental unit (215.83 g). In conclusion, composting duration played a more important role than growing media composition. A longer composting period produced more mature compost with greater nutrient availability, thereby enhancing the growth and yield of red lettuce.

Abstract

The round pond assistance program in Hulu Sungai Tengah Regency is an initiative by the Food Security and Fisheries Service (DKPP) to improve community welfare, especially extreme poor groups. This study aims to (1) analyze the characteristics of round pond assistance recipients and (2) analyze the factors affecting the profits of round pond assistance recipients in Hulu Sungai Tengah Regency. The research method used was a mixed method with 50 respondents selected by purposive sampling. Data were analyzed using descriptive analysis and multiple linear regression. The results showed that recipient characteristics were dominated by males (96%), aged 46-60 years (60%), with elementary education (64%), minimal aquaculture experience (<1 year, 96%), and working as farmers/planters (72%). Partially, only the training variable had a significant effect on profit (<0.001), while age, education, aquaculture experience, gender, and occupation did not have a significant effect. Simultaneously, all variables had a significant effect on profit (0.004). The R² value of 0.351 indicates that the model can explain 35.1% of profit variation. Training is the key factor in increasing the profits of round pond fish aquaculture.
