Abstract

Batik is an Indonesian culture that has been recognized as a world heritage by UNESCO. Indonesian batik has a variety of different motifs in each region. One area that is famous for its batik motifs is Yogyakarta. Yogyakarta has a variety of batik motifs such as ceplok, kawung, and parang which can be differentiated based on the pattern. Yogyakarta batik motifs need to be preserved so they do not experience extinction, one way is by introducing Yogyakarta batik motifs. The recognition of Yogyakarta batik motifs can utilize technology to classify images of Yogyakarta batik motifs based on patterns using the Convolutional Neural Network (CNN). The Yogyakarta batik motif images used for classification totaled 600 images consisting of 3 different motifs such as ceplok, kawung, and parang. Image classification using CNN depends on the architectural model used. The CNN architecture consists of two stages, namely Convolutional for feature extraction and Neural Network for classification. The CNN architectural models made for the introduction of Yogyakarta batik motifs totaled 7 models which were distinguished at the feature extraction stage. The highest accuracy results in the classification of Yogyakarta batik motif images using CNN were obtained in the 6th model. The 6th model has an accuracy of 87.83%, an average precision of 88.46% and an average recall of 87.66%. The accuracy, precision, and recall values ​​obtained by the 6th model are above 80%, which means that the 6th model can classify Yogyakarta batik motifs quite well.

Abstract

Fumigation website is a website owned by PT. Prana Argentum which is used as a platform for disseminating information related to pest control. However, based on interviews with company owners, there are some drawbacks such as the appearance of the website is not very user friendly, the information provided is difficult to find. This is also supported by the results of the UEQ pre-survey of website users, where the results of the 6 UEQ scale get the "bad" criterion, which means the low usability value of the website. This study aims to determine the suitability of the company's website in improving customer experience. To overcome the display problems on the website, a solution is needed, namely redesigning the UI/UX design using the double diamond methodology and usability testing along with UEQ. The result of this research is a redesign of the UI/UX design by adding new features such as a price quote feature, an appointment feature, and a transaction feature. To improve the customer experience, researchers also pay attention to the use of colors, fonts, language styles, to user-friendly navigation flows. In this study, two types of tests were carried out, namely usability testing with the Maze tools and UEQ testing. The usability testing results obtained a usability score of 87 which can be said to be good in terms of its usability value. Based on the results of the UEQ test, it is known that there is an increase in the mean value on all UEQ scales. It is proved that the highest mean value is on the perspicuity scale of 2.09 points and the lowest value is on the novelty scale with a value of 1.53 points. the results of the UI/UX website design of PT. Prana Argentum Corporation is classified as good, proper, and acceptable to users.

Abstract

Performance appraisal is an activity conducted by groups or individuals in a company with the aim of evaluating employee performance based on specific indicators. The purpose of this evaluation is to determine the level of employee performance, provide fair job opportunities, and enhance employee motivation and performance. The objective of this research is to review the literature that employs the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method, while considering several aspects such as previous research on employee performance appraisal and human performance technology. Initially, the search was limited to 450 journals. Then, a review and further screening were conducted, resulting in 161 remaining journals using inclusion and exclusion criteria, yielding 17 journals that met the requirements. This research was conducted over several years to assess employee performance. Therefore, this systematic literature review is carried out to identify the methods used for employee performance appraisal and mentions that optimization algorithms and fuzzy comprehensive methods are used as evaluation methods to assess performance appraisal methods.

Abstract

Fumigation controls pests by sealing a room using methyl bromide (CH3Br) and oxygen gas. This process requires a gas mask, fumigation plastics, sand snakes, and a certificate. The interview revealed that specific supply shortages cause fumigation delays in 15% of monthly orders. This research aims to develop an inventory control application by applying the economic order quantity (EOQ) and reorder point (ROP) methods to overcome the problem of running out of stock. The EOQ method determines the amount of inventory to order to avoid excess stock, while ROP determines the right time to order inventory. The study involved two types of testing: white box testing and comparing manual calculations with application calculations to determine their consistency using data from March to May. The white box testing results show that the program's internal structure and logic run well. This is supported by evidence that each test case can pass two flow graphs resulting from cyclomatic complexity calculations. In addition, the results of testing the EOQ and ROP method calculations show an insignificant difference between the results of manual calculations and application calculations of 3.87%. This proves that application calculations for EOQ and ROP are running correctly and by the researchers' expectations.

Abstract

Internal quality audits are conducted within the internal quality assurance system (SPMI) of higher education institutions to ensure compliance with SPMI standards and enhance a quality culture. Constraints in implementing internal quality audits include limitations in human resources, time, and costs, as well as the complexity of audit stages and documentation of audit findings. To address these challenges, a website-based information system has been designed using the waterfall method and the Unified Modeling Language (UML) approach, utilizing the PHP framework CodeIgniter and a MySQL database. The system aims to digitize and automate the implementation of internal quality audits to enhance effectiveness and efficiency. Additionally, it facilitates the management and storage of internal quality audit documents. For testing purposes, black-box testing is employed, consisting of 10 different test types. The testing results indicate a 90% success rate, while 10% of the data did not succeed due to the limitation of inputting text HTML.

Abstract

Indonesia is the largest exporter of edible bird’s nest (EBN) to China, involving many EBN farmers from various regions in Indonesia. Therefore, a portable device is needed to rapidly and accurately measure the required quality of SBW to avoid rejection by Chinese buyers, which could result in significant losses. Consequently, for this purpose, an electronic instrument has been developed. smartAgro-Spectral is a microcontroller-based electronic instrument that measures nitrite content in edible bird’s nest (EBN) using linear regression method in machine learning calculations. This instrument can measure nitrite content based on the intensity of colors produced by EBN products. The coloring process is carried out by mixing EBW powder with Sulphanilamide solution and N-(1-naphthyl) Ethylenediamine Dihydrochloride (NED) solution. The concentration of EBN solution is normalized to values between 0.2 ppm and 0.7 ppm. The measurement process is carried out by emitting 18 waves of the light spectrum. The intensity of the 18 wavelengths of the measured light spectrum was selected based on the strong correlation between the intensity of the light spectrum and the value of nitrite content in the EBN product. The measurement results show that the intensity of the light spectrum that has a strong linear correlation is at wavelengths of 460 nm, 485 nm, 510 nm, 535 nm, and 610 nm. So, smartAgro-Spectral electronic instruments can be realized based on the intensity relationship of each wavelength through multiple linear regression analysis, and are able to linearly measure nitrite content in EBW products with a precision level of 99.85% and an accuracy rate of 99.85%.

Abstract

Hepatitis is considered to be one of the most dangerous diseases, which often leads to death if not handled properly. Thus, early detection via precise diagnosis is needed in order to prevent the unfortunate event. This research aims to provide a novel hepatitis C diagnosis based on the machine learning algorithm, which is the classification tree from the decision tree learning and the distance correlation, which measures the Euclidean distance between 2 vectors. In particular, the goal is to develop a low computational cost yet precise algorithm for diagnosing the possibility of whether a person is being infected with Hepatitis C or not. Based on the experiment, the distance correlation-based classification tree algorithm outperforms the classical classification tree algorithm by around 3% while using only 7 features instead of 12 as in the classical algorithm. Furthermore, the algorithm identified albumin (ALB), Creatinine (CREA), Bilirubin (BIL), Aspartate Transaminase (AST) and Cholesterol (CHOL) as significant risk factors in determining whether someone is potentially infected with hepatitis C or not, with Creatinine is identified as the most important parameter among all 5 parameters mentioned above.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze system user acceptance of online attendance information systems with face recognition and GPS using the variables Perceived Ease of Use, Perceived Usefulness and Attitude toward Using contained in the TAM model. (Technology Acceptance Model). Respondents used as many as 45 people consist of teachers, teaching staff and students. Questionnaires were used to obtain data that had been tested for validity and reliability which were then analyzed using multiple linear regression techniques. The results of the analysis of the 1st regression equation show that the variable Perceived Usefullness (X1) has a significant influence on the variable Attitude toward Using (Y) with a t count of 4.114 with a significance of p = 0.000 (<0.05). The variable Perceived Ease of Use (X2) has a significant effect on the variable Attitude Toward Using (Y) with t count 2.898 with a significant p = 0.010 (<0.05). The results of the analysis of the second regression equation show that the variables X1 and X2 together have a significant effect on Attitude toward Using (Y) because the statistical value F count = 23.556 with a significance p = 0.000 (<0.05).

Abstract

Increasing awareness of the importance of head personal protective equipment in industrial and construction environments has become a major concern in efforts to improve occupational safety. This research developed an early detection system for the use of computer vision-based head protective equipment using the YOLOv7 model and the Jetson Nano controller. The YOLOv7 algorithm was chosen for its ability for fast and accurate object detection. The YOLOv7 model was trained with a total dataset of 2799 images and iterations of 100 epochs to detect head personal protective equipment with a high degree of accuracy. The system captures imagery, activates a warning alarm, and sends a notification to Telegram when a violation occurs on an object that is not wearing a safety helmet. The test results using the confusion matrix method showed that the developed system was able to detect head personal protective equipment with an accuracy rate of 97.23%, which shows the system's ability to recognize personal protective equipment with very high accuracy. In addition, the system also showed a precision value of 98.71% indicating that all detections performed were correct, and a recall of 95.63% which describes the system's ability to recognize most of the head personal protective equipment available. The average FPS result using GPU with CUDA on Jetson Nano reached 5,723 FPS.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to determine the effect of the physical coding of LoRa communications on monitoring water pipelines. Optimizing the performance of packet receivers in the LoRa communication system using coding on the physical parameters SF (spreading factor), BW (bandwidth), and CR (coding rate). The detection system consists of 3 sensor nodes, 3 intermediate nodes, and 1 receiver node. Data from these sensors is sent to a cloud database. The SX1278 LoRa communication module works using a 433 MHz frequency. During the transmission process on the LoRa communication system, optimization is carried out for receiving data packets using the parameter coding method of physical spread factors, bandwidth, and coding rate. As a result of the research, it is shown that the greater the value of the third parameter (SF, BW, and CR), such as improvement in packet reception performance, improvement in bit security, and increasing packet resistance to various disturbances in transmission, but the time required for sending data be longer. The optimal parameters for detecting pipe leak locations include SF 10, BW 500 KHz, and CR 4/8. The LoRa SX1278 scenario is optimal with a distance of 400 meters, where packet and byte reception are obtained 100%.
