Abstract

Based on data from the Makassar City Health Office, almost all community health centers (Puskesmas) in Makassar City have been accredited by the Ministry of Health. Tabaringan Community Health Center is one of the health facilities that has received basic accreditation. Some complaints frequently conveyed by patients at this community health center relate to the unfriendly attitude of staff, slow service response, and limited information regarding drug use. This study aims to describe the level of patient satisfaction based on the community health center accreditation status, reviewed from various dimensions of service quality. The type of research used is quantitative with a descriptive approach. Sampling was carried out using purposive sampling with a total of 227 respondents. Data collection used a questionnaire, then analyzed univariately to determine the frequency distribution of each variable. The results of the study showed an increase in patient satisfaction after accreditation was implemented. In the Tangibles dimension, before accreditation, 49.3% of patients were quite satisfied and 50.7% were dissatisfied, while after accreditation, this increased to 89.4% were quite satisfied and only 10.6% were dissatisfied. In the Reliability dimension, prior to accreditation, 89.4% of patients reported being quite satisfied, while 10.6% were less satisfied. After accreditation, this increased to 99.6% quite satisfied and 0.4% less satisfied. The Responsiveness dimension showed that before accreditation all respondents (100%) felt quite satisfied, and after accreditation, 99.6% remained quite satisfied with 0.4% stating less satisfied. Meanwhile, in the Assurance dimension, before accreditation, only 1.3% were quite satisfied, and 98.7% were less satisfied. However, after accreditation, there was a significant increase, with 89.4% being quite satisfied and 10.6% less satisfied. The researcher emphasizes the need for further research to conduct a more in-depth analysis of the factors that influence patient satisfaction levels based on the accreditation status of community health centers, and invites the audience to participate in this important endeavor.

Abstract

Groundwater is the primary source widely used by people in Indonesia, as it is relatively easy to access and considered cleaner. The purpose of this study is to determine the environmental health risks associated with the Fe and Mn content in the drilled well water consumed by the community in Polewali Village, South Baebunta District, North Luwu Regency. This study employs a descriptive observational design with an Environmental Health Risk Analysis (EHR) approach. The results show that of the 30 communities exposed to Fe, three communities have RQ > 1 and 27 communities have RQ ≤ 1, while all 30 communities exposed to Mn have RQ values ≤ 1. Based on these data, it is known that three people exposed to Fe have a risk level that exceeds the safe limit, while 30 communities exposed to Mn are still below the risk level or are not at risk at this time, pending the next few years. Recommendations based on the results of this study suggest that remediation and treatment of drilled well water should be carried out.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between exclusive breastfeeding and infant nutritional status in the Baring Community Health Center (Puskesmas Baring) working area. The research design used was quantitative with a cross-sectional approach. The study population was all mothers with infants aged 6–12 months, with a sample of X respondents selected purposively. Data were collected through interviews using questionnaires and infant weight measurements, then analyzed using the Chi-square test. The results showed a significant relationship between exclusive breastfeeding and infant nutritional status (p < 0.05). These findings confirm that infants who receive exclusive breastfeeding have a greater chance of achieving good nutritional status than infants who are not exclusively breastfed. Therefore, it is recommended that health workers increase educational and promotional efforts regarding the importance of exclusive breastfeeding, and equally important, encourage active family participation in supporting breastfeeding practices to achieve optimal infant growth and development.

Abstract

Stunting, a nutritional issue in toddlers that has not been adequately addressed, is the focus of this study. A person is considered stunted if their Height-for-Age (H/U) Z-score is below -2SD (standard deviation). In accordance with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), it is hoped that by 2030, all types of malnutrition will be overcome, including reducing stunting and wasting rates in toddlers, in line with the global targets set until 2025. The World Health Organization (WHO) estimates that the prevalence of stunting worldwide reached 22% in 2020, affecting approximately 149.2 million toddlers. This study, which employed a quantitative method with a cross-sectional study design, focused on 68 toddlers, of whom 47 were identified as stunted. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using the chi-square test to evaluate the relationship between existing variables. The research findings show that there is no significant relationship between dietary patterns and the incidence of stunting (p = 0.526) in toddlers aged 6-59 months in Mangasa Village, Makassar City. Similarly, there was no relationship between exclusive breastfeeding and the incidence of stunting (p = 0.676) in toddlers of the same age range in Mangasa Village, Makassar City. Likewise, there is no relationship between maternal support in health service practices and the incidence of stunting (p = 0.630) in toddlers aged 6-59 months in Mangasa Village, Makassar City. This study revealed that among dietary patterns, exclusive breastfeeding, and maternal support in health services, there is no significant relationship related to stunting in children aged 6 to 59 months in Mangasa Village. These findings have the potential to shape future policies and interventions. The community is encouraged to continue providing exclusive breastfeeding and maintaining a balanced diet to support maternal and child health, increase family support in child care, and utilize health services such as integrated health posts (posyandu) and community health centers regularly.

Abstract

Nurses' work productivity is a key element in ensuring the quality of healthcare services. This study, conducted at Latemmamala Regional General Hospital, Soppeng Regency, aimed to analyze the relationship between the quality of work life and nurses' work productivity. The research method used was a quantitative approach with a cross-sectional design. A sample of 150 non-ASN nurses was selected using a stratified random sampling method. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using the chi-square test. The results showed that work environment safety (p=0.001) and career development (p=0.000) had a significant relationship with nurses' work productivity. Meanwhile, compensation (p=0.290), welfare (p=0.552), and communication (p=0.008) variables did not show a significant relationship. It can be concluded that quality of work life, especially aspects of work safety and career development, influence nurses' work productivity. Therefore, hospital management is advised to increase efforts in these two aspects while still paying attention to other factors to create an optimal work environment. These recommendations provide clear guidance for the next steps in improving nurses' work productivity.
