AL-FALAH: Journal of Islamic Economics is scientific journal of Islamic Economics based on both conceptual and empirical research. It concerns to extensively publish the issues of islamic economics which study through interdiscipline perspectives such as fiqh, shariah finance, islamic bank, islamic development economics, and also economic sociology. The journal is published by Curup State Institute for Islamic Studies (IAIN), Bengkulu, Indonesia. Published twice in a year, on June and December, the journal of Al-Falah is projected as a media, sphere, and dessemination of scholars studies on islamic economics issues. Therefore, Al-Falah invites all of participants, scholars, researchers, and Muslim economists to submit their best-papers, and publish it in Al-Falah: Journal of Islamic Economics.

Abstract

Purpose: The purpose of this research is to identify and analyze the effect of job satisfaction and distributive justice on affective commitment, the effect of job satisfaction, distributive justice and affective commitment on organizational citizenship behavior, and to see the effect of job satisfaction and distributive justice on organizational citizenship behavior mediated by affective commitment. On Islamic bank employees in Indonesia.Design/Method/Approach: The research method used in this study is quantitative descriptive of Islamic bank employees in Indonesia. The total population in this study was 85 people from three Islamic banks in the Padang and Pekanbaru areas. The numbers of samples in this study were 70 people and the data used was primary data by distributing questionnaires to employees. The data collected in this study will be tested using research instrument tests, classical assumption tests, multiple regression tests, and hypothesis testing.Findings: The findings in this study are that there is a significant positive relationship between the effect of satisfaction and distributive justice on affective commitment, the effect of job satisfaction, distributive justice and affective commitment on organizational citizenship behavior, and the effect of job satisfaction on organizational citizenship behavior mediated by affective commitment in Islamic bank employees in Indonesia, and there is a non-significant relationship between the effect of distributive justice on organizational citizenship behavior mediated by affective commitment in Islamic bank employees in Indonesia.Originality/Value: The contribution of this research is to see how the citizenship behavior of employee organizations of Islamic banks in Indonesia can improve company performance so that they can compete with conventional banks

Abstract

Purpose: This study aims to reveal three schools of thought in contemporary times regarding Islamic economic thought in contemporary times, namely the Baqir As-Sadr, Mainstream, and Alternative (critical) schools.Method: This research was conducted with the library (Library Research) data collection using documentation data collection techniques with data analysis, namely content analysis.Findings: The results of this study indicate that contemporary Islamic economics in the first period, the view of the Baqir as-Sadr School, namely Islamic economics is not the same as Islam, Islamic economics must be changed to Iqtishadi, conventional economics needs to be discarded because it is not in accordance with iqtishodi, and the availability of resources is not limited, the two Mainstream schools, that is, not abandoning conventional economics, taking good values from the conventional and then transforming them into sharia, and finally limited resources, the three Alternative schools criticize previous contemporary schools, such as the Baqir As-Sadr school which destroys theories old but still using the old theory. While the Alternative Schools are considered to plagiarize conventional theory, finally Islamic economics needs to be tested for its truth. Abstract

Purpose: This study aims to examine the effect of Instagram user’s response to corporate Instagram post (likes and comments) toward individual ownership and institutional ownership of sharia stocks in Indonesia.Design/Method/Approach: The data collection method used is purposive sampling technique. The number of samples in this study were 158 companies registered in ISSI (Indonesia Sharia Stock Index) and having an active Instagram account. Data processing using SPSS.26 with Ordinary Least Square (OLS).Findings: The results showed that Instagram user respond increasing the institutional investor and individual investor in sharia stock. The interpretation for this findings that such Instagram activities increase the visibility of the company across a more diverse group of investors. This increase visibility makes information more accessible to individual and institutional investors, so that they are attracted to invest more in sharia stock.Origianalily/Value: This research is the first study that used social media to measure Sharia Stock Ownership.

Abstract

Purpose: This paper examines the Effect of Electronic Money Transactions on Consumer Satisfaction According to Sharia Economics on STAI La Tansa Mashiro Students.Design/Method/Approach: This research uses descriptive quantitative with 110 samples. Sampling was carried out using purposive sampling method with 2 categories, namely activity and use of the OVO or Go pay e-wallet application to make transactions, to objectively measure socio-economic phenomena in electronic money transactions on consumer satisfaction.Findings: The results show a positive and significant effect, Electronic Money Transactions on Consumer Satisfaction. Where the t test results are 3.724 and t table 1.659 significant level <0.05, namely 0.001 <0.05, then t count> from t table 3.724> 1.659. Explaining that Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. The t test results are reinforced with (R²) 0.114.Organally/Value: There is a positive and significant effect of Electronic Money Transactions on Consumer Satisfaction. With t test results of 3.724 and t table 1.659 with a significant 0.001 <0.05, then t count> t table 3.724> 1.659. Then Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. The t test results were strengthened (R²) 0.114. Sharia Economic Perspective DSN MUI Fatwa No. 116 of 2017 states that legal electronic money can be used as a means of payment by following the provisions of this fatwa.

Abstract

Purpose: This study aims to determine transformation of development through digital marketing in maintaining coffee production in West Lampung in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic in the Islamic economic paradigm.Design/Method/Approach: The research uses qualitative methods with an approach post positivism philosophy. Secondary data was obtained from BPS and primary data was obtained from interviews with West Lampung Coffee SMEs. The data collection method uses several stages: Observation, Interview and Documentation. Data Processing and Validity includes: Credibility, Dependability, Transferability and Confirmability.Findings: The digital marketing transformation of coffee production SMEs coffee in West Lampung during the COVID-19 pandemic has brought about significant changes in the way business is done. SMEs coffee companies that are able to implement digital marketing strategies effectively can expand market reach, increase sales, and improve their overall business performance.Organally/Value: This research can provide new insights on how coffee SMEs in West Lampung can use digital marketing to increase coffee production and marketing effectively during the COVID-19 pandemic. In addition, this research can also provide insight into the latest trends and innovations in the use of digital marketing in the coffee industry.

Abstract

Purpose: This study aims to describe the analysis of Monzer Kahf's thoughts on the phenomenon of consumption that occurs in today's society.Design/Method/Approach: Descriptive qualitative research with a literature review approach was used in this research. This approach was used because researcher only needed information, explanations and analysis to compile this research. The data was collected through observation and documentation while data analysis techniques used conclusion drawing techniques to obtain information objectively and systematically.Findings: The results show that Islam does not prohibit individuals from using goods to achieve satisfaction, but still regulates and limits their use so as not to violate sharia principles. A Muslim in consumption is based on obedience to Allah, needs, social justice, and freedom from sin. Therefore, a person's satisfaction in consumption is not solely based on the amount of goods consumed, but also considers whether the action is in accordance with religious teachings or not. Consumption done in order to fulfill Allah's commands and avoid His prohibitions will bring more meaningful satisfaction than merely pursuing worldly pleasures. In addition, Islam also prohibits israf and tabdzir in consumption, as these are considered inefficient and can harm one and others.Originality/Values: This research contributes to providing understanding in carrying out Islamic consumption in general and specifically based on Monzer Kahf's thoughts.

Abstract

Purpose: The purpose of this research is to review the implementation of membership cards in buying and selling transactions at a conventional retailer in Metro City, Lampung, and its use in terms of Islamic business ethics.Design/Method/Approach: This qualitative field study uses primary and secondary data sources. The study used interviews, observation, and documentation to collect the data. In total, there were six respondents participated in this study. The collected data is then analyzed using inductive reasoning as the data analysis technique.Findings: Based on the research results, it was found that the member card implementation is used for a discount program obtained from collecting points from each transaction which can later be redeemed for various compensations and prizes. Such a scheme appears as a strategy to captivate customer in the form of loyalty issue. This finding indicates an incompatibility with the principles of Islamic business ethics. The implications of this research show that using member cards as a transaction attraction widely applied to various contemporary retailers is not in line with the principles of the sharia economics laws.Organally/Value: The novelty value(s) of this study concern filling the gap of how the member card strategy is seen from Islamic business ethics. The findings are expected to help business practitioners, policymakers, and academics to understand the implementation of various modern business strategies that do not conflict with Islamic characteristics.

Abstract

Purpose: This research aimed to implementation strategy on waqf and zakat funding to improve student character. This research took place at Universitas Airlangga students who want to participate in character development through the Griya Khadijah program.Design/Methodology/Approach: This research used a qualitative method with an exploratory analysis approach and case studies. Data were obtained from in-depth interviews, focus group discussions, and field observations. The collected data were analyzed using triangulation techniques and effectiveness analysis to create a funding integration strategy.Findings: The results of the research indicated that the integration of zakat and waqf funding can be implemented with 2 different entities (Nazhir and PUSPAS). Nazhir acts as a provider of initial investment and curriculum development costs until Griya Khadijah was ready to run. While the role of PUSPAS was to provide operational costs by financing scholarships for students participating in the Griya Khadijah program. This funding integration process had several consequences, such as in accounting and curriculum aspects.Research limitations/implications: Research contributed to the Sustainable Character development of temporary waqf studies in Indonesia. In addition, the proposed model can be the basis of reference for other nazhir in Indonesia.Originality/value: This paper proposes a model which similar, to implemented strategy the management of waqf and zakat to improve the character of Universitas Airlangga students at Griya Khadijah. The results of this study In the context of the curriculum, Griya Khadijah has a target output of students as Hafidz Quran memorizers and young entrepreneurs. Therefore, Griya Khadijah has 4 class schemes starting from basic, intermediate, and advanced so that the material delivered is on target.

Abstract

Purpose: The goal of this research is to find out how Sharia banking can overtake financing for MSMEs that are not yet bankable by sticking to prudential banking with a case study: Islamic Banking in the Special Region of YogyakartaDesign/Method/Approach: This is qualitative research using a triangulation method to verify the validity of the data obtained. The research was undertaken at an Islamic bank in the Special Region of Yogyakarta, Indonesia disbursing KUR.Findings: The results of this study are that Islamic banking in the Special Region of Yogyakarta (DIY) applies the 5 CS methods (Character, Capacity, Capital, Collateral, and Condition of Economy) when conducting a financing analysis of their prospective KUR recipient customers.Organally/Value: The method found in this study is beneficial for analyzing unbankable MSMEs. Islamic banks can believe in the ability to pay prospective customers despite the limitations of the data and documents analyzed. This method is beneficial to help unbankable MSMEs to be able to access capital from Islamic banking.
