Abstract

Flooding is a natural disaster that often occurs in several regions in Indonesia, including Pekalongan Regency. One of the areas frequently hit by flooding is Simbang Kulon Village, which is caused by the poor drainage system draining the water flow. The development of drainage infrastructure in this area is an important step in overcoming the problem of recurrent flooding. This research aims to assess the effectiveness of drainage channel infrastructure development in Simbang Kulon Village, especially in Simbang Kulon Gang 2, RW 04. The research method used is a qualitative method with a literature study approach. Secondary data was obtained from literature and previous research, while primary data was obtained through direct observation and interviews. The analysis was carried out by studying the studies of data sources to produce actual conclusions on the research topic. The results showed that the development of drainage channel infrastructure in Simbang Kulon Village has had a significant impact in reducing the intensity of flooding that often occurs. However, the phenomenon of groundwater puddles appearing inside residents' houses during heavy rains is still a challenge that needs to be addressed further. The lack of water catchment areas is one of the main causes of this phenomenon.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the causes and efforts to prevent acts of violence in Islamic boarding schools. This research is library research. This research uses a qualitative approach through descriptive analysis methods based on literature studies obtained such as searching books, journal articles and other digital materials from the internet which are then used as analysis material. The results of this research show that there are many factors that cause acts of violence against students in Islamic boarding schools to still occur. These factors include the issue of unequal power relations between perpetrators and victims, the strong intensity of togetherness in Islamic boarding schools, Islamic boarding schools rarely select student input, especially Islamic boarding schools which still maintain the old way of educating students, during holidays and when students return home they do not receive adequate care. the same as Islamic boarding schools, the strict rules and regulations in Islamic boarding schools, problems with senior-junior relations, as well as closed attitudes and a tendency towards lack of cooperation in Islamic boarding schools. Therefore, in order to prevent acts of violence in Islamic boarding schools, there are several efforts that can be made, including building synergy between the roles of parents (guardians of students) and Islamic boarding school administrators, increasing legal awareness of students regarding acts of violence, forming a Team for Prevention and Handling of Violence (TPPK). ) in Islamic boarding schools and finally optimizing the role of supervision by the government. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the factors that influence the compliance of the people of Pekalongan City in paying taxes. Using a qualitative descriptive approach, data were obtained through interviews, observations, and literature studies. The results of the study indicate that low public compliance is influenced by four main factors: low taxpayer awareness, lack of knowledge about taxation, negative attitudes towards the government, and ineffective tax socialization. Low taxpayer awareness is caused by a lack of understanding of the benefits of taxes for development. Public knowledge about tax procedures and mechanisms is also limited, causing confusion. In addition, negative perceptions of government transparency in tax use worsen taxpayer motivation. The socialization carried out often does not reach all levels of society, especially those who have limited time or access. To overcome this obstacle, the study recommends more intensive and inclusive tax education, simplification of procedures, improvement of the quality of public services, and strict law enforcement. These efforts are expected to increase taxpayer awareness and compliance, support sustainable development, and create a better tax compliance culture in Pekalongan.Keywords: tax compliance, public awareness, tax socialization, Pekalongan City, public service

Abstract

The study aims to evaluate the financial performance of the Regional Public Servic Agency (BLUD) at the Puskesmas in Pekalongan City from 2020 to 2022, by assessing the implementation of The Treasury Directorate General Regulation No.PER-11/PB-2021. The focus of the research is on liquidity, efficiency, effectiveness, and financial independence after the Puskesmas transitioned to auto nomous financial management. The approach applied disquantitative analysis through time seriesand comparative techniques on financial statements. The results show variations in liquidity, efficiency, and independence, with challenges in efficiency and asset management. Improvements in financial management are recommended To improve the standard of health services

Abstract

This study aims to test and analyze the effect of workload and organizational commitment as independent variables on employee performance as the dependent variable with job satisfaction as a moderating variable. This study uses quantitative research methods. The population in this study consisted of 96 employees who worked at BPKAD Pekalongan City. The technique used in collecting data is to use a survey method with a questionnaire. The data obtained from respondents were analyzed using the SPSS version 24 application. The tests used are instrument tests and model tests. Data analysis in this study used the MRA (Moderated Regression Analysis) test. The results showed that workload has a positive and significant effect on employee performance, organizational commitment has a negative and significant effect on employee performance, job satisfaction does not moderate the effect of workload on employee performance, job satisfaction moderates the effect of organizational commitment on employee performance.

Abstract

This study focuses on a quantitative approach aimed at explaining panel data regression analysis on the determinants of capital expenditure and its impact on regional financial independence. The data used includes Budget Realization Reports  from 2018 to 2022. Fixed Effect Model (FEM) is picked as the best model based on statistical model testing to do regression. The findings indicate that capital expenditure serves as a bridge connecting Local Own-Source Revenue and balancing funds includes General Allocation Funds, and Special Allocation Funds to financial independence through asset acquisition, regional asset improvement, and regional economic development. Capital expenditure funded by Local Own-Source Revenue, General Allocation Funds, and Special Allocation Funds has been proven to enhance Local Own-Source Revenue generation through the utilization of regional infrastructure and assets. This enables regions to gradually reduce dependency on government funding. In contrast, Revenue Sharing Funds do not significantly contribute to capital expenditure. Consequently, the expectation of increasing Local Own-Source Revenue through capital expenditure for acquiring fixed assets, which could enhance the region's capacity to deliver public services, remains unmet, ultimately failing to improve financial independence. The implications of this study can serve as a basis for local governments in formulating financial management strategies oriented toward enhancing fiscal independence

Abstract

This study aims to measure the effectiveness of an integrated environmental issue-based learning model using technology to enhance students' sensitivity and awareness in Pekalongan City, which faces various environmental challenges such as flooding and environmental degradation. The research was conducted at SDN Panjang Wetan, SMPN 2 Kota Pekalongan, and SMAN 4 Kota Pekalongan using purposive sampling. Data were collected through observations, interviews, and questionnaires administered to students and teachers. Data analysis employed descriptive statistics and t-tests to evaluate changes in students' understanding and involvement with environmental issues after the implementation of the technology-based learning model. The results indicate that the model is effective in enhancing students' sensitivity and awareness of environmental problems, as well as their skills in applying technology to environmental solutions. The contribution of this study is the introduction of an innovative learning approach that is relevant to the current needs of environmental education. The implication is that the implementation of this model can strengthen sustainable education and foster students' responsible behavior towards the environment at elementary to secondary school levels.

Abstract

Development focuses on sectors that are capable of driving regional progress that can be detailed into superior regional products. This study uses a mix method approach, with analysis techniques in data collection using intramethod mixing and intermethod mixing through questionnaire, interview, and documentation techniques. Data were obtained by means of secondary surveys and questionnaires to 108 people as respondents, obtained as many as 21 candidate superior products selected by the community and selected 10 products that are community priorities and agreed upon by experts including; traditional batik, megono, fish processing, canting tulis and cap crafts, woven crafts, tauco, oriental lemonade drinks, processed tempeh, tea products, and convection. Based on the results of the calculation of the projection for the next 5-20 years using the exponential method, it was found that all products had an increase, but the analysis results were dominated by several superior products that showed rapid development. The order of the results of the projection of superior regional products from the most developed to the least developed products is; (1) traditional batik, (2) tea products, (3) convection, (4) megono, (5) processed tempeh, (6) tauco, (7) oriental lemonade drinks, (8) weaving crafts, (9) fish processing, (10) canting tulis and stamp crafts.

Abstract

The existing market and traders in Sugihwaras Market have provided an involutive reality. Three questions were formulated to understand and resolve the issue, namely (a) How is the existing condition of the involutive market, (b) Development and promotion strategies and (c) Resolution strategies. The ethnoinformatics method was applied to answer it with data excavated through five data collection techniques: (a) Qualitative survey, (b) Interview and Observation; (c) FGD; (d) Document study and (e) Visual study. Qualitative, quantitative data analysis and data triangulation have been carried out, in addition to interpretive, display, descriptive and frequency distribution (SPSS) techniques. The results of the study showed that the involutive reality was shown through the existing condition of the market which was quiet with buyers and traders, with hundreds of kiosks and traders closed and leaving. However, the market did not die but still survived with a small number of its traders. Various forms of training, partnerships and collaborations have been carried out to resolve it but the results have not been significant for the condition of the traders and the involutive market. Three options of resolution strategies are offered to get out of its involutive condition, namely: (a) a) Soft power; (b) Consistency and firmness in policy implementation; and (c) Adaptive culture. These three strategies are a unity of three in simultaneity (tri ning tri) so that all three must run simultaneously, filling and completing each other and not eliminating each other.

Abstract

The study aims to analyze climate change and the role of youth in facing the challenges of digital technology in Pekalongan, as well as to find evidence-based solutions. The method used is qualitative research with a literature study, collecting primary and secondary data through library research and descriptive surveys. The results show that Pekalongan faces climate change issues such as land subsidence, sea level rise, flooding, and vector-borne diseases. Youth are confronted with narcotizing dysfunction and the commodification of social media. Fundamental initiatives such as carbon footprint awareness, green marketing, and avoiding greenwashing are needed. However, surveys indicate that youth understanding of carbon footprints is still low. Therefore, new methods of environmental education are necessary. Previous research shows that applications can enhance knowledge of carbon footprints and environmentally friendly lifestyles, with features like carbon footprint calculators, education, and gamification. This study recommends fundamental environmental education, avoiding social media dominance, leveraging Pekalongan's local wisdom, and emphasizing individual movements that can become collective.
