Abstract

Learning reflection is an important part in the learning and training stages. Reflection on learning will provide more "color" in the meaning of learning (meaningfull learning). The reflection flow has 5 (five) thinking hierarchies, namely (1) Reporting, (2) Responding, (3) Relating, (4) Reasoning, and (5) Reconstructing. ). These stages require a high-level thinking process, namely critical, analytical and creative. The focus of this research is how the training instructors (widyaiswara) carry out the reflection process in 5 stages. The descriptive qualitative is applied in this research. The data was collected through questionnaires techniques, related to reflection patterns. The primary data sources in this study were widyaiswara, while the secondary research data were document data related to BDK Surabaya and also documents related to the learning process in training. The result of this research shows that the widyasiwara have crried out the 5 stages learning reflection well.

Abstract

English subject is taught not only for the regular students but also to students who have physical disorder especially to hearing impairment students. In Indonesia, there is a special school for these students called SLB (Sekolah Luar Biasa). In the teaching and learning proccess at SMP-LB (B), the teacher usually faces some difficulties dealing with the students because they have lack of their hearing system. the writer tried to dig up and find out the teacher and students interaction in English Class for Hearing Impairment Students in SMP-LB (B) Negeri Tuban and the students responses after the teacher apply certain interaction in the class at SMP-LB (B) Negeri Tuban. This study applied the qualitative case study research approach to answer the research questions. The study as conducted at SMP-(LB) Negeri Tuban which used three instruments such as observation, interview and documentation. The finding of the research showed that the teacher used Total Communication Technique which combines the oral and manual technique. Teacher not only used oral but also used sign language such as finger spelling, gestures, and facial expression. The writer also found one response after the teacher interaction in English class for Hearing Impairment Students such as Oral communication. Total communication Technique is expected to help them in teaching and learning of interaction in English to hearing impairment students in the right way appropiately. The teacher always gives good treatment to the students in order to able to reduce the problems in communication especially in listening and speaking.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the role of teachers in improving competence in applying multiple learning methods in the learning process. The research method used is qualitative research. Data collection techniques through interviews, observation and documentation studies. The results showed: (1) The In House Training (IHT) activity took place very well with a score of 94.17. (2) The lesson plans made by In House Training (IHT) participants have achieved the predicate of Very Good with a score of 86.02. (3) The process of learning activities took place very well with a score of 90.87. (4) Student learning outcomes increased with the predicate Good with a value of 84.33. The achievement of students in learning activities received a good predicate with a score of 89.25. (5) The element of well-being (joy) of students in learning activities gets a good predicate with a value of 83.93. This means that students feel happy and have fun participating in learning activities with various learning methods applied by SDN Sukamulya teachers.

Abstract

Lesson study is a learning activity carried out by a group of teachers and education experts which includes 3 (three) steps of activity, namely planning (plan), implementation of learning (do) and observation followed by reflection (see) on a planning and implementation of learning. FGD means systematic activities of collecting data and information about a specific problem related to constructing teaching module through group discussion. This descriptive qualitative study aims to describe the effectiveness of FGDs in constructing teaching module to meet the implementation of the 2022 curriculum or Kurikulum Merdeka (Kurmer) through lesson study. The finding said that the lesson study participants were able to construct teaching module well. It was concluded that FGDs assistance were effective in constructing teaching module through lesson study.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the weakness of teachers in the application of ICT in the learning process in the classroom. This is based on observations in the teacher's lesson plan that never includes ICT-based learning media. The purpose of this study was to determine the increase in teacher competence in applying ICT in the learning process through in-house training. In-house training was chosen as an effort to increase teacher competence because in terms of time it does not interfere with the main task of teachers and in terms of costs it does not require a lot of money, because it is carried out internally in schools. The method used is school action research (PTS) with two cycles, each cycle consisting of planning, implementing corrective actions, observing and reflecting. The results of the study showed that there was an increase in teacher competence in implementing ICT through in-house training for teachers at SDN 3 Sukamenak, Purbaratu District, Tasikmalaya City. Assessment through the in-house training observation rubric in cycle 1 was only 30% ready to take part in the activity, so it was included in the poor category, and the results of the assessment in the second cycle which reached a value of 80%, were in the very good category. While the teacher's activity in the implementation of learning in the second cycle is better than in the first cycle. Where the final result is an increase in teacher competence in applying ICT in the learning process with a 40% increase in the percentage.

Abstract

The purpose of this study to produce a learning media is spectro-animation used in learning Bohr atomic structure. Media spectro-animation consists of hardware integrated with animation software. This study used research and development (R&D) type Borg and Gall, through three phases: research design and literature studies, designing and manufacturing, and product development. Media spectro-animation is tested validation and feasibility tested by experts and chemistry teachers. The results of the validation got 94,5 and 94,0 average score with very good category. The final test product is done to 20 students of class X MIPA 1. There are increase understanding of the students' average score of 64 to pre-test mean score of post-test 81. The results of the t-test significance (sig) value 0.000 < 0.05, significant difference learning Bohr atomic structure before and after using the media. Feasibility by experts and chemistry teachers with indicators of effectiveness, efficiency and practicality media, each a score of 98,0 and 93,0 categories are very good. It can be concluded that media spectro-animation effective and can be implemented in learning Bohr atomic structure.

Abstract

In teaching reading, especially for senior high school students, they have to master high reading skills such as inferential, evaluative and critical reading. To reach this purpose, many teachers ask the students to read silently through skimming or scanning. However, some researches have proven that using reading aloud in teaching reading can improve students vocabulary and make students idea sharpener in finding detail information of the text. in addition, reading aloud is related a lot with reading comprehension. That is why it is important to know whether or not reading aloud is needed for teaching reading for senior high school. The aim of this research is to answer a research question, it is about whether or not reading aloud can improve students’ reading ability. The method used in this research is quantitative. The data used in this research is the result of pre-test and post-test of experimental and control class which are taken from the twelve grade students of MAN 2 Nganjuk, Academic year 2022/2023. The result of this research shows that reading aloud can improve the students’ reading ability, or on the other word, there is a significance different of the students’ score after being taught by using reading aloud strategy. The next research about this strategy for higher students of EFL with different type of text is needed so it can be used as the references for teachers to improve their strategy for teaching reading.

Abstract

This study attempts to connect the precepts of Indonesian unity with the love of the homeland from the perspective of Sheikh Kholil Bangkalan. This study aims to describe the five principles of love for the homeland from the perspective of Shaykh Kholil Bangkalan that can maintain the unity of Indonesia. The procedure used is a qualitative descriptive analysis method with the aim of analyzing the literature and data sources. The results of the study found, namely: 1) Caring for Indonesian Unity by Defending the Homeland Either Through Words or Deeds; 2) Caring for Indonesian Unity by Facing or Combating Anything That Causes Disabilities in State Security and Safety; 3) Caring for Indonesian Unity by Educating Santri and Children to Appreciate the Great Values ​​of the Homeland; 4) Caring for Indonesian Unity by maintaining the harmony of the members or residents and instilling brotherhood; 5) Caring for Indonesian Unity by Creating and Providing Awareness to Students about the Responsibility to Manage Resources. Maintaining the unity of Indonesia by practicing the five principles of love for the homeland from the perspective of Sheikh Kholil Bangkalan can be applied in families, communities, schools, Islamic boarding schools, campuses, and all fields of religious, national and state life. The Indonesian government can make the results of this study a reference for making policies, especially in the field of education to be implemented in schools, Islamic boarding schools, campuses.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to increase student learning activities on special angles of trigonometry by implementing Jari Sakti dan Domino (JSD) with the Liveworksheet platform. The research on the implementation of Jari Sakti dan Domino (JSD) with the Liveworksheet platform on trigonometry special angles was carried out from April 2 to May 25 2022. The research subjects were class X MIPA 1 - 5 MAN I Mojokerto with a total of 175 students. The research instruments used were observation sheets and questionnaires. Observation of liveliness is carried out when learning takes place in the form of checklists. Observation sheet to get data on the level of student activity. The graphic results state that from the observation data it was found that the level of student learning activity reached 89.51% in the very good category and from the student questionnaire it was found that students felt very happy learning by applying Jari Sakti dan Domino (JSD) reaching 93.14%, very able to apply Jari Sakti dan Domino (JSD) reached 91.43%, easy to practice 90.29% and could say the value of the special angle in quadrants I - IV reached 90.86%. This research has been able to improve the mathematics learning activities of class X MIPA students at MAN I Mojokerto in trigonometry by implementing " Jari Sakti dan Domino (JSD)" with the Liveworksheet platform.

Abstract

The training for strengthening religious moderation will be held by the Surabaya Religious Education and Training Center in 2022. This study aims to evaluate the implementation of training for strengthening religious moderation for the Ministry of Religion's State Civil Apparatus (ASN) and the religious moderation attitudes of the trainees. This research method is a qualitative descriptive of the implementation of training and the attitude of religious moderation that drives religious moderation. The research respondents were 135 people consisting of teachers, madrasa heads, extension workers, and penghulu. Data collection was carried out by means of a questionnaire. The research instrument was in the form of a religious moderation attitude scale questionnaire which was sent via google form uploads to respondents. Data processing was carried out by descriptive statistics. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of training on strengthening the driving force of religious moderation is quite satisfactory. The participants' religious moderation attitude was included in the high category.
