Abstract

Tema artikel ini membahas tentang rahasia pengulangan redaksidalam surat ar-Rahman. Dalam al-Qur’a>n banyak ayat-ayat yangdiulang-ulang redaksinya khususnya adalah dalam surat arRahman. Hal ini menggelitik penulis untuk mengetahui rahasiadibalik pengulangan tersebut, oleh karena itu tema ini diangkatuntuk menemukan pesan-pesan rahasia dibalik pengulangan katatersebut. Dengan menggunakan metode konten analisis, penulismencoba mencermati dan melakukan interpretasi terhadapredaksi ayat-ayat yang diulang untuk menemukan sesuatu yangtersembunyi dibalik pesan ayat-ayat repetitif itu. Hasilnya adalahsuatu temuan di mana redaksi ayat-ayat yang diulang itu benarbenar memberikan pemahaman yang mendalam yang berkaitandengan aspek-aspek psikologis yang memiliki pengaruh terhadappara pembacanya. Di sinilah keunikannya, bahwa pengulanganredaksi ayat-ayat dalam al-Qur’a>n itu adalah sarat dengan pesandan makna.

Abstract

Interpretation of Singles Ulama Against Marriage Verses. This simple study focuses on the study of a cleric's thoughts on ayat al-quran. The purpose of the word Singles Ulama here is a Ulama who until the end of his life has never been married. In Arabic terms it is called ‘uzzab or in the current term is called Singles. In this study I took the figure of Ulama al-zzUzzab namely Zamakhsyari which was taken from the book Al-Ulama al-zzUzzab, Alladzina Aatsaru al-Ilm ‘ala al-Zaawaj by Abdul Fattah Abu Ghuddah as the object of research. Then I used his commentary, Al-Kasysyaf to find out how he interpreted the marriage verse. I have the basic assumption that one's singles will influence the style of interpretation, especially in the verse that leads to marriage.

Abstract

Artikel ini membahas tentang model penafsiran MuhammadAbduh dan Rasyid > Rida } di mana corak penafsirannya memberikan >pengaruh yang besar terhadap pemikiran pembaharuan Islampada masanya dan masa setelahnya. Dengan menggunakanmetode komparatif penulis mencoba untuk mengetahui sisi-sisikeunikan masing-masing penafsir baik persamaannya maupunperbedaannya. Hasilnya bisa dipahami bahwa dua orang mufassirtetap saja memiliki ciri khas dan gaya penafsiran yang pasti adaperbedaannya. Tafsir al-Manar > merupakan karya monumental duatokoh yang sangat dikenal tersebut di kalangan Intelektual Islam,dia adalah Muhammad Abduh sebagai sang guru, dan Rasyi>dRida sebagai murid, dalam menjawab berbagai persoalan denganwacana kontekstualisasi penafsiran al-Qur’an. Mengenai metodeyang dipakainya dalam penafsiran banyak memiliki persamaanantara Muhammad Abduh dengan Rasyi>d Rida.

Abstract

One of the strengths that plagued the study of the Ulumul Quran in Indonesia is the textuality of the Koran, which is only able to reproduce the debate around the issue of reconstruction of the Ulumul Quran in the classical to contemporary eras. With a meta-analysis, this tendency seems to override another important issue in the study of the Qur'an in Indonesia, namely the Qur'an in the academic world. This paper aims to explore several alternative trends in the issues of ulumul al-Qur'an in the academic world, arguing that the subject of research in the study of the Qur'an in Indonesia should be humans, not the Qur'an itself. Through this exploration, it is hoped that the research methodology and research object of the study of the Qur'an will increase with various data and take an important role in the shift in Islamic studies in the world.

Abstract

Al Quran, as the source of inspiration for Muslims, and the concept of the first person according to Charles Darwin’s Evolution Theory, 1859, is worth a discussion. Al Qur’an does not present firm statement about Adam as the first person in the world. Presumably, there are three communities prior Adam: Banul Jan, Banul Ban and Ijajil. Confirmation of Adam as the first person was given by mufassir. According to Al Qur’an, human beings are flawless creations consist of body (jasad) and soul (ruh) from the beginning. It contradicts to Darwin’s theory saying that human beings have the same origin with simphanse. This paper presents three methods of Quranic interpretation concerning the first human being: tafsir bi ar-ra’yi, tafsir maudhu’i and tafsir muqorin.

Abstract

This article discusses polygamy verse on contextual approach’s Abdullah Saeed. This approach will argue whether polygamy is permitted or prohibited on Abdullah Saeed’s thought. Polygamy is a condition which the husband who have more than one wife together in the same situation. It is a classical and everlasting problems because there are many contradiction in Muslim realm. Abdullah Saeed haven’t been giving a comprehensive exegesis in his work about it, so it will be new research approach. In the other hand, Abdullah Saeed’s contextual approach will give deeply interpretation towards polygamy verse in our life today. This research is library research with descriptive-analytic method to discover the verse in Abdullah Saeed’s approach.

Abstract

Salah satu peran seorang muslim yang perlu diwujudkan dalam kaitannya dengan non-muslim, ialah menjaga perdamaian dan kerukunan antar umat beragama. Realisasi akan hal tersebut dapat dimulai dari perbuatan-perbuatan kecil, seperti membantu sesama hingga perbuatan-perbuatan besar, seperti tidak menciptakan konflik itu sendiri. Ajaran agama turut berperan penting dalam mewujudkan hal itu. Oleh karenanya, melihat ayat-ayat al-Qur’an yang berbicara terkait relasi muslim dengan non-muslim menjadi penting. Termasuk juga, menelisik sikap Allah terhadap non-muslim itu sendiri dalam konteks pemberian karunia. Untuk melihat kedua hal tersebut, QS. al-Māidah[5]:64 menjadi jawabannya, karena dianggap mengandung kedua hal yang dimaksud. Dalam proses analisisnya, digunakan metode ma’nā-cum magzhā, sehingga diperoleh temuan. Pertama, bahwa QS. al-Māidah[5]:64 memerintahkan agar tidak berbuat kikir, termasuk terhadap non-muslim sekalipun. Kedua, bahwa Allah dalam memberikan karunia-Nya tidak pernah membeda-bedakan antara muslim dan non-muslim. Ketiga, tidak melakukan pengrusakan di muka bumi, salah satunya dengan tidak menciptakan konflik yang dapat memecah belah persatuan, termasuk kepada non-muslim.

Abstract

This article discussed about the interpretation of Ahkam al-Qur’an study of the interpretation of AbuBakr Muhammad bin ‘Abdullah al-Ma'ruf bin al-’Arabi. The main problems that will be answered are; first, what are the external realities that influence the thought of Ibn al-’Arabi in the interpretation of Ahkam al-Qur'an. Second, what is the process of objectivation that is built up in the commentary Ahkam al-Qur’an. Third, how can existing objective reality be formulated by Ibn al-Arabi in the form of internalization through Ahkam al-Qur’an so as to produce a product of contextual interpretation in the era.This study used the analysis of sociology of Peter L. Berger's knowledge. Some of the stages that were passed were in the form of inventorying data, selecting and classifying it, then reconstructing and conducting a critical analysis of the basic assumptions.The results of this study included; First, in terms of externalization, the sociology of knowledge aims to see the outpouring of the ideas of Ibn al-abiArabi in the book Ahkam al-Qur’an, where the ideas were born from the socio-political context of Andalusia. Second, the process of objectification of Ibn al-’Arabi is an objective reality which he developed through his scientific and thought methodology. Simply put, the science and mindset shown by Ibn al-Arabi is reflected in his views on the Koran and interpretation, commentary bi al-ma’sur, and the verses of law. Third, as a result of the objective reality gave birth to the internalization process. This process is purely an individual product, but at the same time as a social product, because no alternative thought arises except departing from thinking that is generally considered to have been established. In the context of the discourse developed by Ibn al-’Arabi, the alternation processes are present in between the substance of Ibn al-Arabi's thought which shows its objective reality. Thus, the internalization process is always present as a result of direct consequences of existing objective reality.This can be deduced from the characteristics of Ibn al-‘Arabi's thought inherent in the commentary Ahkam al-Qur’an. However, as far as this research is concerned, there is something unique and distinctive that is presented by Ibn al-Arabi, namely its moderation in responding to various differences of understanding in interpretation. Besides his bigotry also does not make him blasphemers for those who differ in understanding, he remains a student who always respects the teachers he has quoted in his commentary.

Abstract

Qur’anic studies di dunia Barat telah melewati bentangan sejarahcukup panjang. Dalam babakan-babakan sejarah itu, Qur’anicstudies dalam frame orientalisme tak terhindarkan dari perangkapzona akademis yang kompleks. Dikatakan kompleks, sebab ialekat dengan motif-motif yang amat variatif. Di antara faktor yangmempengaruhi perubahan citra Barat mengenai dunia Islam,yakni bertambahnya informasi faktual mengenai Islam dan kaummuslim, kontak-kontak langsung yang terus meningkat lantaranhubungan politik dan perdagangan, apresiasi yang tinggi terhadapprinsip-prinsip keilmuan dan fisafat yang berakar kuat di duniaTimur, dan perkembangan gradual kesadaran Barat sendiri. Padaperiode tertentu, Qur’anic studies muncul sebagai proyek apologismissionaris yang bertujuan melakukan konversi (evangelism).Namun ia acapkali muncul sebagai proyek material kolonialismeyang absolut, atau tak jarang semata-mata didorong sekadarmemenuhi rasa ingin tahu (intellectual curiosity). Kompleksitastertentu juga dapat ditemui dalam diskontinuitas Qur’anic studies,di mana secara evolutif ia mengalami transformasi-transformasiinternal akibat varian perangkat metodologi yang digunakan.Sehingga, sikap selektif diperlukan untuk menyikapi Qur’anicStudies menurut perspektif para orientalist dan Islamologi Barat.
