Abstract

As one of the cultural heritage buildings, especially in the city of Bandung, the Cipaganti Great Mosque which is located on Jl. Cipaganti No 85 has historical value as well as its beauty and architectural uniqueness. Prof. Kemal C.P Wolff Schoemaker designed this mosque and began construction on February 7, 1933, until it was completed on January 27, 1934. Over time, there have been many changes in the Cipaganti Great Mosque building when compared to the initial building. Building development is needed at this time to meet capacity demands, which will affect the existence of the existing mosque building as a cultural heritage building. Overcoming these problems, it is necessary to conduct further research to identify the application of cultural heritage building elements to the Cipaganti Great Mosque by adding new buildings that aim to provide educational value to the community in the hope that historical values in this building and other buildings will not be lost and will continue to be sustainable. until whenever. This study uses a descriptive analysis method by making direct observations at the location of the Cipaganti Great Mosque by observing the building characteristics, functions, and architectural elements related to the development of new buildings. Based on the identification results, it was found that the new building of the Cipaganti Great Mosque still refers to the old building in its development process, both in exterior and interior elements, with modifications to the use of new materials.

Abstract

The city of Bandung is a picture of an increase in population and technological developments that can be seen in the land use of urban areas. The majority of people in Bandung City still use private vehicles to travel daily. With this phenomenon, it is not surprising that there are traffic jams everywhere. This also happens in the parking situation in the city of Bandung. Many strategic areas have quite high parking activity. With high activity, be it parking activities with control or without control, it certainly interferes with the circulation of a city space area. Therefore, it is necessary to have an analysis that aims to find out the quality of urban space that affects the circulation of the area. This study analyzed the level of circulation density influenced by parking and activity support around the Jl. Karapitan area, and the method used in this study was a descriptive research method supported by literature reviews and field surveys. That way, an overview of the circulation density of the Jl. Karapitan area will be obtained. The results of this study are expected to be taken into consideration in determining the quality standards of urban space.

Abstract

The train station is a public function that can be easily accessed by various characters of ability (equitable space), responsive, and democratic by all users (Octaviana, 2019). Equitable space here refers to the equality of persons with disabilities in accessing space. There are 3 types of disabilities: mental disabilities, physical disabilities, and multiple disabilities. People with physical disabilities have limited movement according to their respective types of limitations. A friendly space for the physically disabled is created by applying the concept of universal design. The purpose of this study was to examine and find out how to design facilities for the needs of the physically disabled in accessing the accessibility provided by Bandung Pintu Utara Station. This research was conducted using a qualitative approach based on the diversity and ways of movement of persons with physical disabilities at the North Gate Bandung City Station. The data collection method was obtained through observation of the North Gate Bandung City Station facility. This research is expected to be input for designers and contribute knowledge about accessibility for physically disabled people.

Abstract

Public service in government buildings has a close connection with social interaction in each administrative area. Public service activity needs a lounge that supports staff performance in public services. As Urban Development Division in DPUTR of Bandung Regency, we have a high amount of visitors but a non-supportive performance lounge. So this case leaves a problem in spatial planning for which we need to find a solution. The purpose of this journal is to find out how much the comfort level is for humans using this building as a staff. The comfort factor will be focused on in room selection, furniture planning, and capacity levels that support staff performance. Whereas research methods using qualitative descriptive data show spatial planning in lounges will affect sirculation comfort and user activities.
