Abstract

The purpose of this research was to determine the correlation between school management information system and work effectiveness of staff at SMK Hasanuddin Mataram. The method of data gathering used questionnaire and interview. The data were analyzed statically by using correlation product moment. The results indicated that, r-table equals to 0,311, r-test at the significance level of 5% with N=48 It was obtained 0,248 this shows that r- test is bigger than r-table or 0,311>0,248, thus the result of this research is significant. This means H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted. Hence, it can be concluded that there is a correlation between school management information systems and work effectiveness of staff at SMK Hasanuddin Mataram.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to analyze the mathematical reasoning ability of students when solving open-ended problems. The research method used was descriptive qualitative with a case study approach. The subject was as many as 15 students of a grade VIII-2 of SMPN 6 Mandau. The technique of collecting data in this research was a written test. Data analysis techniques were scoring, presenting data, and describing and drawing conclusions from the data collected.  The result of the study showed that the mathematical reasoning ability of the students was very determined when students solved problems, especially the open-ended problems. It could be demonstrated from the achievement of indicators of mathematical reasoning ability, drew a logical conclusion with the medium category, made analogy and generalization with very low categories as well as examining the validity of the statements with low categories. From the achievement of these indicators, it can be concluded that the average mathematical reasoning ability of students still is still categorized into low category. This is because students are still not accustomed of solving open-ended problems.

Abstract

This IbM program aimed to help teachers of both schools in making application of 3D especially inEnglish learning. This program was conducted at SDN 1 Langko and SDN 2 Langko Janapria Central Lombok.SDN 1 Langko had 12 teachers, 94 students and 1 staff, then SDN 2 Langko had 12 teachers, 240 students and1 staff. The steps which was conducted were requirement (determined tools), designing, coding, testing andimplementing. The result of this public services was application which could be used by English teachers inimproving quality of students’ learning.

Abstract

This study aims to identify the factors that determine the success of a learner in language learning. The study used library research methods through procedures, namely data collection, reading and recording data, and data processing. Data collection technique used was documentation with instruments in the form of data cards. Data analysis technique used content analysis. The results showed that the success of learners in language learning was influenced by several factors, namely factors related to students, factors related to teachers, factors related to the learning environment, and factors related to the social environment. Therefore, language teachers must identify the factors that can influence the success of language learning in their class and accommodate all the factors that influence the success of language learning, otherwise the factors that influence failure must be avoided.

Abstract

Beberapa siswa mengalami permasalahan dalam melakukan kegiatan menulis meskipun hanya  menulis satu paragraf. Sehingga diperlukan satu media untuk memudahkan siswa dalam mengatasi permasalahannya. Penelitian tindakan kelas ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan peningkatan kemampuan menulis cerita pendek siswa dengan menggunakan pembelajaran media gambar di SMAN 3 Mataram. Adapun metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode penelitian campuran yaitu kualitatif dan deskriptif. Penelitian tindakan kelas ini dilakukan dalam 3 (tiga) siklus. Dari hasil tindakanan yang dilakukan terbukti dapat meningkatkan prestasi belajar siswa dengan mencapai standar ideal. Dari 27 %  pada Siklus I, dapat meningkat pada Siklus II menjadi 50% dan Siklus III mencapai 100%, dan secara klasikal telah mencapai ketuntasan.

Abstract

This study aimed to increase students’ interest in learning in English-filled fairy tale material using the WPS application. The research method used was the research and development method from Borg and Gall. The population in the study amounted to 72 students of grade 2 SD Amalyatul Huda. The samples specified in this study were 32 students and 2 teachers. Data analysis techniques were obtained from a team of material experts, design experts, Indonesian language teachers, and grade 2 students of SD Amalyatul Huda. The product produced from this research was in the form of a learning module. The results showed 1) validation from material experts including the feasibility of the content on average obtained 89.85% with good criteria, the average presentation feasibility was obtained 90.3% with very good criteria, and the assessment of linguistic aspects achieved on average 89.42 % with good criteria. (2) Validation of design experts with an average of 84.58% with good criteria. (3) the teacher's response got an average of 85.83% with good criteria. (4) student responses through individual trials obtained an average of 75% with sufficient criteria. (5) small group trials reached an average of 83.56% with good criteria. (6) limited test reaches an average of 94.92% with very good criteria. This proves that learning English-filled fairy tales using the WPS application has increased.

Abstract

The aimed of this study was to describe the implementation of an agropreneur-based community empowerment program through training in snapper cultivation in Gerupuk village. The research method used is descriptive method with a qualitative approach. The data sources of this study include program managers, instructors, and citizens of learning. The instrument of this study was the researchers themselves with the help of interview, observation, and documentation guidelines. Analysis of the data in this study used qualitative data analysis techniques with interactive models. The results of this study indicate that implementing an agropreneur-based community empowerment program through entrepreneurship training in snapper fish in Gerupuk village has been well implemented and in accordance with the principle of participatory empowerment. The stages of program management include planning, organizing, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating programs. The results of the program, namely the learning community can apply their knowledge to entrepreneurship in groups which has implications for improving the standard of living.

Abstract

This study aimed to know implementing of scientific approach learning discovery strategy and discussion method in effort to improve motivation and Indonesian learning achievement, PPKN, Social at class VI-A students of SD Negeri Model Mataram. Significant of this study was fostering students to develop learning skills in Cognitive group and how to be socialized with their friends as long as learning process in the real class. And for the teachers it could improve approach and learning model with implementing scientific and learning discovery strategy in cooperative learning with discussion method. This study conducted in two cycles, activities in every cycle were planning, acting, observing and reflecting. The result in cycle II showed that result of teachers’ observation was 4,64, result of students’ observation had mean score (4,21). Then effect of improving learning motivation improved with mean score of students’ learning was (89,38). Means indicator of completeness (> 4,0) and learning achievement (> 75,00) was reached. Because indicator of completeness had been proved success so this study was stopped in cycle II.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to know a significant influence of integrated flash picture series media through communicative approach towards storytelling ability. The research method used quasi-experimental design with nonequivalent control group and saturated sampling technique and a sample size of 20 students.The reasearch instrument used test questions and documentation studies, while the data analysis used independent t-test and effect size test. The result showed an increase in student learning outcomes with the use of flash-based pictured series through communicative approach and it showed group of students who were taught effectively with flash-based media with an average value of 56.45 at pre-test to 81.55 in post test compared to the control group which was valued only 51.95 at pre-test increased to 62.9 after the post test. The research showed the use of flash-based picture media through communicative approach was effective in teaching 7th grade students of SMP Negeri 3 Kupang on English subject especially speaking material (storytelling). The result was proved by Ha > Ho r 81.55 > 62.9.

Abstract

Lower mathematics learning achievement was anxiety for teachers which should be repaired. Through this research teacher wanted knew mathematics learning achievement through CTL approach. Based on CTL theory said that CTL believed that could be improve learning achievement, through contructivism approach and learning society. This research was conducted at class VII on Wednesday. October 7th 2009 1,2 o’clock in cycle I and cycle II on October 21st 2009 1,2 o’clock. In this research, researcher used test and observation sheet, then data was analyzed by descriptive quantitative. Based on data analysis descriptive qualitative learning achievement improved in cycle I mean score was 53,5 with students’ completeness was 4 students and students who not completeness was 21 students, in cycle II students who completeness was 31 students and not completeness was 4 students. In implementing CTL teachers could conduct well on 6 stages in cycle I and cycle II. So that CTL approach could improve students’ mathematics learning achievement. The result of this research was hoped could be used for teachers on pedagogic services and for school it could improve quality and learning services.
