The study of religious harmony is important, because religious sentiments often lead to conflict of tension. Not only in Indonesia, but also in other parts of the world, although social, political, economic factors are quite coloring, but the role of religion can not be denied in social conflict. This is meanly related to the lack of tolerance towards other faiths. Among the way to create religious harmony is to examine the framework of islamic epistemology analysis on the basis of religious harmony. Islamic epistemology believes in the source of the truth of revelation, reasion, empirical, and intuition. The methods and tools used in the search of truth are the guidence of revelation, reasion, empirical, and intuition. The Theological basis examined in this study is derived from The Hadiths of The Prophet Muhammad that are relevant with religious harmony. This study is included in the literature study category with primary data taken from the books of hadiths and supported by secondary data from various books that examine the religious harmony. Islamic epistemology is used as an analytical blade of foundation for exploring sourches of truth which are related to the foundations of religious harmony in the hadiths of the Prophet Muhammad which later expected to grow awareness to respect each other. This step is expected to be one of intersections that bridges the realization of religious harmony, especially in Indonnesia.

As for the main problem, the research is divided into two sub-problems, namely: 1) How is the ceremony of carrying out the Karo traditional birth, 2) How is the comparison of acculturation of Islamic teachings to the traditional Karo birth ceremony. This type of research is qualitative, with an anthropological approach. The source of the research data. First, primary data is data obtained by in-depth interviews with resource persons related to the object under study in this case such as traditional leaders, Muslim and non-Muslim communities, as well as several other community leaders, and documentation from the community in Tanjung Anom village. Second, secondary data is data whose sources are obtained from several books, journals, magazines, newspapers or online news, as well as other information related to the problem of acculturating Islamic teachings to the Karo birth custom of Tanjung Anom village. The result of this study is the acculturation of Islamic teachings in the Karo Adat Birth Tradition, that acculturation is a social process that arises when a group of people with a certain culture are confronted with elements of a foreign culture in such a way that the elements of foreign culture are gradually accepted and processed into their own culture without causing the loss of the culture itself. Meanwhile, Islamic teachings in welcoming births are different from Karo traditional traditions. Comparison of the acculturation of Islamic teachings to the traditional Karo birth ceremony, namely Islamic teachings following the Sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad SAW, of course it is very good if practiced for Muslims while the Karo custom birth tradition follows the teachings of previous ancestors.

Abstract

Religion has a belief about God (theology), because basically religion is a divine rule as a provision for its people to arrive at inner and outer happiness, both in this world and in the hereafter. Thus every religion crowns the teachings or science of divinity (theology) in their religion as the main lesson. The purpose of this study is to analyze the differences and similarities of theological concepts in Islam and Christianity. Because it is known that these two major religions are a series of religious histories that are often discussed and debated in theological studies. Then this research is able to provide a true and precise explanation of theology in both religions, namely Islam and Christianity. The methodology used in this research is qualitative with a library research design. The data taken as well as the information that the researcher uses as a source are the Al-Quran and the Bible. Coupled with the literature of opinion leaders who wrote a lot about the explanation of the teachings of the two religions in this study. This research can produce knowledge and understanding of the teachings of God in Islam and Christianity, the knowledge of God is the most basic thing in every religious teaching. It can be concluded that the similarities between the concepts of Islamic and Christian theology are studying God, Sects and the Attributes of God, while the difference between the concepts of Islamic theology and Christian theology is that Islamic theology believes that God is One and practices the value of Unity, while Christian theology believes that God is One, but it is believed that there is another God called Relative Monotheism such as God the Father Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit.
